(A/N):

Drop a

here that you find funny. Or reflects your mood.

-------------------------------------------------

Amba’s voice had already carved through the past—

But now—It reached into the present.

Her eyes burned as she spoke—

"I perford tapas... For years... Until Lord Shiva appeared before ."

A ripple passed through the hall.

"He told ..."

Her gaze shifted. Locked. On Devara.

"...the answer to my fate... lies with him."

Bhishma’s eyes widened—Just slightly.

"...."

But enough.

Because he understood. This was no coincidence.

He stepped forward. Voice firm.

"Do not involve the child—"

But Amba didn’t even look at him.

Because for her—Bhishma had already lost the right to speak.

At the center—Devara stood.

Still.

"...."

Not afraid. Not confused.

Just—Thinking.

Because this wasn’t a ga.

This wasn’t a story anymore.

This was a choice—That could split fate itself.

Then—Unexpectedly—Devara stepped forward.

And placed his hand—On Amba’s head.

The hall froze again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Amba froze seeing what he did.

Because no one—Had touched her like that—In years.

Not with kindness. Not without judgnt.

Devara spoke softly.

"What do you want?"

Not accusation. Not rejection.

Just—A question.

Amba’s gaze trembled slightly.

"...."

For the first ti—Not from anger.

But from uncertainty.

Her eyes moved—Across the hall:

To Bhishma... tense

To Vidura... watchful

To Pandu and Kunti... serious

To Dhritarashtra and Madri... trying to understand as she explains to him

To Satyavati... uneasy which one could clearly see on her face

And finally—To her sisters.

Ambika. Ambalika

Their eyes—Pleading. Begging.

’...Don’t...’

But Amba closed her eyes.

And when she opened them—The fire had returned.

She folded her hands.

Not to a king. Not to a god.

But to a child.

"I want..."

A pause.

"...you... to kill him."

Her eyes shifted—To Bhishma.

Everything stopped after what she just asked.

No movent. No breath.

Because this—Was not a request.

It was a declaration of sothing which would break apart everything.

Bhishma stood still... but tense beneath

Vidura’s eyes sharpened instantly

Satyavati’s heart dropped it was happening what she feared.

Pandu clenched his fists

Kunti watched Devara closely expecting him to refuse outright

The sisters trembled

Because they all understood—What this ant.

And in the middle of it all—Devara.

Quiet.

"...."

His hand still resting gently on Amba’s head.

His eyes—Now deeper.

Not playful. Not childlike.

But—deciding.

Because he knew clearly.

Bhishma’s importance

Amba’s suffering

The consequences of either choice was imnse.

’If I say yes... If I say no...’

Neither path was simple.

Devara didn’t answer imdiately.

"...."

He looked at Amba

Not with rejection. Not with agreent.

With understanding on his face.

His voice was calm.

"Why do you want him to die?"

The hall stiffened.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Because this—Wasn’t expected.

"If he dies..."

A pause.

"...what will you gain?"

Amba’s lips parted slightly.

"...."

"After that ...only emptiness will remain."

Devara’s tone didn’t soften. It sharpened.

"You will lose everything."

The words landed heavier than any weapon.

Because they were not cruel—They were true.

Then—Devara turned. To Bhishma

And his voice changed.

"But... That doesn’t make him right."

The hall froze again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

"You acted on what you believed was dharma... but your pride led you."

Bhishma’s eyes narrowed slightly.

-Frown!

"You believed no one could defeat you. So you forced your will—without understanding the cost."

Each word—A mirror.

Then—Devara stepped forward.

"So I will grant her justice."

A pause.

"Not your death."

The tension snapped—Then tightened again.

"But your loss."

Devara turned to look at Bhishma.

"You will lose. For the first ti. You will feel what she felt."

"Powerless."

The hall didn’t react.

It froze.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Amba—Stopped breathing for a mont.

Because she had expected:

Refusal Or agreent to kill

But not—this.

Satyavati moved quickly. Concern written across her face.

"Devara... Reconsider. You are still a child. You have not trained—"

Others followed after her:

Vidura, Pandu, Kunti, Dhritarashtra.

Trying to stop him.

Because they understood—This wasn’t symbolic.

This would be real.

Bhishma didn’t move. Didn’t interrupt.

"...."

He just—Watched.

Because deep down—He knew.

This was deserved.

But due to his actions his brother would be facing him.

Then—

-THUD!!!

The ground trembled slightly.

Every head turned.

"...."

"...."

"...."

A figure stood at the entrance.

A warrior. A sage.

A storm contained in human form.

Lord Parashurama.

His axe rested against the ground.

His gaze—Heavy. Ancient. Radiating with power.

Bhishma bowed imdiately.

"Guru1."

Parashurama nodded hearing Bhishma’s greeting.

-Nod

"...."

But his eyes—Held disappointnt.

Because years ago—He had failed.

Failed to see truth Failed to deliver justice Failed to finish what he started

And today—That past had returned.

His voice echoed.

"I was called."

A pause.

"By Lord Vishnu."

Shock rippled again.

"To witness. To judge. And to ensure, ...this battle is fair."

The hall transford.

From feast—To battlefield.

Amba stood—Hope flickering again.

Bhishma stood—Calm. Prepared.

And Devara—At the center.

Not as a child anymore.

But as—the one who will decide the outco.

As the hall moved, Devara stood still for a heartbeat—

Inside his mind—

[–DUM!–DUM!–]

Devara blinked hearing system’s suggestion.

-Blink!

"...Wrestling?"

Bhishma stepped forward—Facing Lord Parashurama

"He is a child. He knows no weapons. No astras. This would be unfair."

The hall murmured.

Because this—Was truth.

Parashurama remained silent.

"...."

Thinking.

Then—He looked at Devara.

Devara stepped forward. Calm.

"Then let’s not use weapons."

A pause.

"Let’s wrestle."

The hall froze again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

"Whoever pins the other to the ground... for one minute wins."

Simple. Primitive. Fair.

Lord Parashurama nodded hearing his suggestion.

-Nod

"Accepted."

Then his gaze turned outward.

"The battlefield... will be at the banks of the Ganga."

A ripple passed through everyone.

"She is the mother of both. She will witness this."

The palace emptied.

Moving like a tide—Toward the river.

anwhile—Devara’s mind flickered again.

[–DUM!–DUM!–]

As he walked—Sothing shifted.

"...."

His body felt—Heavier. Denser. Power coursed through him.

Not explosive—But controlled.

Each step—Firr. Each breath—Sharper.

Devara flexed his fingers slightly.

Feeling it. Understanding it.

"...Still not enough."

Because ahead—Was not just a warrior.

But a legend who had carved his na in the history.

The river flowed calmly.

But the air—Was not.

Crowds gathered. Sages. Royals. Warriors.

At the center—Two figures stood apart.

Devara stood at the edge of the arena—Barefoot on sacred ground.

And for a mont—The world faded.

The river rippled. Then parted.

Ganga erged—Graceful. Flowing.

Beside her—Goddess Bhudevi

Grounded. Radiant.

Devara’s face lit up.

He ran forward—And hugged them.

A child again.

Just for a mont before the battle.

Ganga smiled gently. Patting his head.

"Be safe."

Bhudevi placed her hand over his.

"Stand firm."

Behind them—Bhishma bowed.

"Mother."

Both goddesses looked at him.

Not with anger. Not with approval.

Just—Silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then they stepped back. Leaving the field.

The sky cracked—A streak of lightning descended.

And with it—Lord Parashurama

He landed. Axe in hand which connected with the lighting.

-THUD!!!

The ground trembled.

Then—He struck the earth again.

A circle ford.

Wide. Sacred. Unbreakable.

Devara rolled his shoulders slightly.

Feeling the strength.

The weight. The difference.

Across from him—Bhishma stood calm.

Unshaken.

No weapon. No armor.

Just presence.

Devara thought—

’...He’s still stronger.’

Not in fear. Just fact he already knows.

Devara lifted his gaze—Locked onto Bhishma

And spoke.

"In this battle..."

A pause.

"...you are my opponent."

The mont those words settled—Sothing unseen moved.

Not wind. Not energy.

Sothing deeper.

Vali’s Boon activated.

Half of Bhishma’s raw physical strength—Flowed into Devara.

For a brief second—Devara’s body trembled.

Not from weakness—From overload.

Then—Stabilized.

Parashurama raised his axe. And brought it down.

"Begin."

Before Bhishma could move—Devara’s body shifted.

Not in age. Not in form.

But in scale.

He grew.

Still a child. But now—Taller than Bhishma.

The crowd gasped.

"...."

"...."

"...."

They moved at the sa ti.

Hands clashed. Fingers locked.

A test of strength.

Pure. Unfiltered.

The ground beneath them cracked slightly.

Bhishma’s eyes narrowed feeling the strength behind Devara.

"...."

Because—This was not normal. This was not a child.

Devara pushed with his full strength.

But Bhishma resisted it well.

For a mont—They were equal.

Then—Reality tilted.

With a sudden shift—Bhishma twisted his stance.

Redirected force.

And—Lifted Devara who was caught off guard.

The crowd gasped again.

-Gasps!

Then—SLAM!!!

Devara hit the riverbank hard.

-BAM!!!

Dust burst outward. The earth groaned by the impact.

Bhishma didn’t hesitate.

"...."

He moved in—Dropping his weight.

Aiming to pin Devara to the ground.

One minute.

That was all it took.

But—Just before impact—Devara moved.

A roll.

Clean. Precise.

Bhishma’s body hit the ground—Where Devara was.

-THUD.

And missed him completely.

Bhishma paused. Just slightly.

"...."

Because now—He understood.

This wasn’t just strength his brother also as agility to avoid his attack.

Dust still lingered when Devara moved again—

No hesitation. No fear.

He stepped in—Fast. Low.

His arms wrapped around Bhishma’s waist—Trying to lift him by the hips.

"...."

Muscles tightened. Strength surged.

Earth beneath his feet cracked slightly—For a mont—Bhishma shifted.

Just a little. By the effort Devara has put in.

And took few steps back.

Then—Bhishma stepped back.

Firm. Grounded. Holding his position.

Like a mountain deciding—Not to move.

In one smooth motion—He countered.

His hands locked onto Devara.

And then—He lifted him. Effortlessly. Then ca the slam.

"...."

-THUD!!!

Devara hit the ground again—Harder this ti.

"Ahhh!!!"

The air left his lungs for a second.

Before he could recover—Bhishma moved in.

His grip caught Devara’s leg.

Twisted. Pulled.

Dragging him across the earth—Before locking him into a painful hold.

A precise angle. A calculated restraint.

Devara’s body tensed.

"...."

Pain shot through his leg.

The kind that demanded—Submission.

Bhishma leaned closer. His face near Devara’s reach.

"Yield."

No anger. No cruelty.

Just certainty.

Devara’s fingers dug into the soil.

Tight.

Earth responded faintly—Through ?? Bhū-Sparsha

Not power—But connection.

Devara’s eyes narrowed as he gritted his teeth and decleared.

"...No."

In one sharp motion—His elbow shot up.

Straight. Precise.

-CRACK!

It connected. Right into Bhishma’s nose.

Bhishma’s grip loosened instantly.

Not from weakness—But surprise.

"...."

He stepped back.

Hand briefly touching his nose.

A thin line of blood appeared.

The crowd gasped who looked at it.

Bhishma looked at Devara again.

Differently this ti.

Not as a child. But as—an opponent.

"...."

Devara steadied his breath.

His chest rose. Fell. Again.

"...."

Inside—He understood. Not guessed. Understood.

’He’s better.’

Not just stronger. Not just faster.

But—Sharper.

Every move. Every counter.

Bhishma was reading him and countering it easily.

They moved again.

Devara lunged—Trying to close the gap.

But Bhishma—Shifted.

Not back. Not sideways.

A complex pivot.

In one fluid motion—He avoided the grip.

Turned. And suddenly—Devara’s back was exposed.

Bhishma’s hand locked onto his wrist.

Pulled. Rotated skill fully showing he was still under control.

And—SLAM!

Devara hit the ground again.

Before he could react—Bhishma was already above him.

"...."

A fist ca down.

Devara raised his arms.

-THUD.

The punch landed on his guard.

Pain surged through his bones as his hands shook by the impact.

Another strike. And another.

Each one—Heavy. asured.

Devara gritted his teeth.

-Grit!

Feeling it. Every impact.

Then—Timing.

A small opening he sensed it.

Devara moved. He caught Bhishma’s wrist.

Shifted his hips. Pulled.

"...."

And—Reversed the position.

Now—Bhishma was beneath him.

Devara didn’t hesitate.

Punch. Punch. Punch.

Punch after punch descended showing his earlier fursteration.

Fast. Relentless.

Bhishma raised his arms—Blocking.

Each strike echoed. Through the battlefield.

Ti slowed.

As every one started counting the seconds in their mind.

Because now—This mattered.

Bhishma’s back—Was on the ground.

If Devara held him—Even for seconds... The match would tilt in the favour of Devara.

Bhishma’s eyes sharpened sensing Devara’s plan.

"...."

He didn’t panic. Didn’t rush. He calculated.

Then—He moved.

Bhishma surged upward—Driving his head forward.

-CRACK!!!

The sound echoed across the riverbank.

Everyone heard it. Couldn’t help but feel shiver down his spines.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Devara’s body froze for a split second.

Pain exploded in his skull. Blood trickled down.

His vision flickered.

But—He didn’t fall apart.

Across from him—Bhishma winced slightly.

’...Harder than expected.’

Before Devara could recover—Bhishma acted.

He twisted his legs free—And—

KICK.

The force sent Devara sliding.

Dragging across the ground—Dust rising behind him.

Silence followed.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Both stood again. Both injured on their face.

Where blood was trailing on their face from the wounds.

Both breathing steady.

Bhishma looked at Devara.

No longer asuring.

Now—acknowledging his strength and will.

Because this was no longer a lesson he thought he was going to teach Devara.

This was a fight.
