Chapter 915: Massacre (5)
Chapter 915
BANG!
It felt as though the sound barrier broke or sothing similar as Grey streaked into the midst of the mages faster than their eyes could possibly track.
They were taken aback. Genuinely stunned and far too slow to move.
And that was their sole mistake as all they saw was a flash of blue and red before they collapsed to the ground in a dull thud.
The Supre Magus wasn’t here to play.
He wasn’t here to waste ti nor toy with anybody.
He had already dealt with every single person that ca at him in the town.
Even the civilians weren’t spared from his path.
That was because of the rage bubbling within him. It had consud him to another height.
He promised.
Before returning back from Vayun, he promised not to lose anybody else again.
Yet he returned to see Licht dead.
The elves massacred by the Otherworlders.
He ca back to his town to Cedric’s death.
Again and again. He kept losing people close to him.
Why? Why must they always suffer? Why must good people always die?
Ice spikes shot towards his face which he easily sidestepped then hurled his lightning sword with all his might.
The weapon cracked through the mage’s skull and shattered into the chest of another.
... Why? Why? Why only him?
People die. He knew. But why those he cared about?
What did Licht and the innocent elves do that they got killed?
What did lord Cedric do that he lost his life?
What did Millie and Vanessa do that they lost their lives?
Why did his mum lose her life too?
Just why?! Why? Why? Why?
Ducking in ti to avoid a wind gale, his foot crashed into the mage’s abdon and with the force of ki, the man was blasted backward with imnse speed and in a flash, he connected with an opposite wall with his head shattering against it.
’I know.’
Of course.
The truth was obvious. It was clear from day one why everybody around him keeps on losing their lives.
Of course how much longer could he avoid the obvious truth?
They all died because they were fucking close to him! He was the sole reason for all their deaths.
The more people got close to him, the more they will be indirectly roped into his shit.
Always!
Yes. Cedric died because of his feud with Bale.
But if Grey hadn’t accepted the mission to rescue Max from Bale’s clutches, Kiten’s deeds would have been handed over to Bale.
Max would have returned ho alive and although Cedric would have lost the town, he would have been alive.
Janet wouldn’t have tried to slowly poison him.
Everybody will be okay.
But no! He had to ddle in because he was paid.
Years later, Cedric had to pay for it with his life.
’AAAAARGH!’ He yelled inwardly as he grabbed the hand of one of the mages rushing at him.
With burning fury, he yanked his hand backward, ripping the mage’s limb cleanly from his shoulder, causing a red mist to erupt imdiately.
The mage scread for a mont before his shout was cut off as Grey slamd his palm into the mage’s mouth, sending a small fireball sliding down his throat.
"Explomb." Grey breathed out as he rushed forward.
The mage exploded from the inside out with blood and gore spraying into the air.
It had only been a minute and blood had pooled in the hall.
The stream from outside with the one inside joined together, causing the whole marble flooring to beco red imdiately.
However, the Supre Magus didn’t care one bit as a huge tornado whooshed out, smashing into the face of another guard, flinging his body away and causing it to shatter against a pillar.
Glancing up, he could see his goblet wobbling continuously as if it were going to fall at any mont.
The elite mages instantly stirred, seeing as the others were losing; they darted forward with superior speed compared to the lesser guards.
"Yes! You will surely lose ag—"
Crack! Bang!
Two projectiles swooshed from around the Supre Magus.
A lightning arrow and a Ki sword.
Before the elite guards could blink, the lightning arrow slamd into the head of one of the sentinels, instantly splitting it open.
However, the Ki sword was avoided by the others, causing it to embed itself into the ground.
They were about two tres away when Grey closed his eyes for a mont.
’Tsk...five star mages?’
Shaking his head, lightning crackled around his legs as he clenched a new pair of Ki blades.
BANG!
He lunged forward from his position to et the four n.
He didn’t run.
He slid.
Grey glided forward with blazing montum, and on the pool of blood no less.
Swinging his sword from below, he tore through the limb of one of the guards before stabbing his weapon forward into his neck; then, yanking it out and flipping the hilt the other way, he swatted an earth spike to the ground.
Spinning around, he slid forward with uncanny velocity, kneeing a second elite guard in the face.
Crack!
The man’s jaws slamd against each other, followed by his skull rupturing.
Skidding to the side, Grey avoided a wind tornado which crashed into where he stood a mont prior, causing the pool of blood to kick into the air and dyeing the atmosphere red for a mont.
In just a blink, the Supre Magus was already beside the source of the wind tornado.
Thrusting his Ki sword forward, it easily thunked into the mage’s gut.
Grey didn’t stop there; he swung his hand upward, cleaving the mage’s body and splitting his skull apart.
His eyes rolled to the side, catching sight of the last elite guard who stood frozen in a spot, unable to move an inch at the sight of this massacre.
Before the survivor could blink, Grey slid forward on the stream of gore, reaching the mage in a flash.
His hand was pointed forward, palm thrust and slamd into the mage’s abdon with minimal force, yet a massive gust of wind sent the man’s body hurtling through the air and smashing through a wall after leaving an imprint.
Swinging his hands to the side, the blood on his Ki swords slid off and joined the crimson stream beneath his feet.
The officials in the room couldn’t say anything as their eyes were wide in horror.
Everything Grey had done—taking down a hundred guards along with five supposed elite warriors—everything had happened in just two minutes.
Lifting his free hand into the air, sothing landed into his grasp smoothly.
The goblet that fell from the chandelier.
With calm precision, he lifted it to his mouth and took a long sip before exhaling in satisfaction.
"Now; where were we, Bale?" Grey asked with chilling calmness as he took another sip.
