Chapter 839: Crazy Teamwork

Chapter 839

"Failed."

"Did it?"

The next sequence that followed was a brutal, bone-shattering smash of an axe to Pluck’s face.

A spray of red mist erupted from the mouth of the Behemoth Clan’s strongest vice leader as he staggered away, his vision swimming in deep pain.

Smirking from his position was Da, who firmly gripped the heavy axe Lance had previously hurled toward him.

Initially, Pluck had assud the axe was thrown as a direct projectile ant to cause damage, but he hadn’t realized it was a ticulously practiced sequence between the axe wielder and Da.

Though not a formal mber of the Crimson Lotus Clan, Da had decided to train alongside them for an entire month; he knew that when the ti ca, they would all be fighting side by side.

He refused to be the one to hinder their otherwise perfect teamwork.

After countless trials and failures, he had managed to get in sync with one of their most agile mbers: Lance! One of their signature moves was this coordinated axe throw, which had caught Pluck completely off guard.

Now, the vice leader was left bleeding from his mangled mouth.

Pluck’s eyes ignited with a primal fury as he glared at the trio standing before him.

"How dare yo—!"

"Oh, please shut the hell up," Alba whispered softly.

She crossed the distance between them in a heartbeat, appearing before the man like a crimson storm.

Her sword was blazing with turbulent energy, which she hauled forward with all her might, sending a massive crimson slash rocketing at the giant.

Gnashing his teeth in anger, Pluck twisted his body violently to avoid Alba’s slash.

The energy tore through the terrain behind him and continued onward, carving a path of destruction.

Before he could even think of a retaliation, Killian was already in position.

With a precise thrust of his sword, he sent a roaring tunnel of fire toward the man’s exposed back.

Spinning around with surprising agility for his size, Pluck swung his foot in a heavy descending strike, cutting through the fla tunnel and dispersing the heat from his view.

But that was rely another distraction.

Lance made use of the opening, appearing before the man in a heartbeat.

His double axes were crossed together before being swung out, unleashing a concentrated Ki slash in the form of a lethal ’X’.

Pluck gritted his teeth, crossing his thick forearms before his face just as the slash smashed into him.

The imnse power behind the strike sent him lurching backwards, his boots digging into the earth.

Da was already in position, launching a Ki-infused punch directly toward the man’s temple.

Feeling the sudden vibrations through the air, Pluck hastily bent his body forward, narrowly dodging the blow.

In a single breath, Pluck slamd his hands onto the ground and twirled his body.

His foot swept Da off his feet before he followed up with a crushing kick to the younger man’s chest.

Blood sprayed from Da’s mouth as he was sent hurling through the air like a broken doll.

Just to perform that counter-kick, however, it seed the vice leader was about to pay a steep price.

Alba was already airborne, her swords held together in a dual grip.

She lifted them high above her head and swung down with every ounce of her strength.

Pluck recognized the terrifying power behind the overhead strike; he knew his hands alone wouldn’t be enough to protect him.

He chose the only viable option left on his plate.

Dodge!

Swirling Ki into his hands, which were still firmly planted on the ground, he launched himself backwards like a released arrow.

Bam—!

Alba crashed into the earth, her impact kicking up a violent storm of debris and dust.

Killian was already positioned behind Pluck’s new landing spot.

Before the giant could stabilize, Killian’s sword bit into his skin, drawing a fresh line of blood imdiately.

Pluck was about to spin around to retaliate when Da appeared again, blood dripping from his chin.

With a roar, Da hamred his foot into the man’s face, sending Pluck’s entire head swinging violently to the side.

Suddenly, a massive explosion of Ki erupted from around Pluck, sending a powerful shockwave blasting outward.

It crashed into anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the radius.

Killian and Da both leaped away quickly, barely escaping the brunt of the kinetic blast.

Pluck was seen slowly rising to his feet, his aura fluctuating wildly, only for another axe to whistle toward his face with imnse speed.

He leaned his head to the side at the last second, letting the weapon fly past.

Turning around in a panic, fearing Da was once again at his back, he saw nobody.

The axe simply embedded itself deep into the ground with a hollow thud.

Then,

TCHAKKK—!

He yelled in agony as he spun around, only to et Alba’s fierce, predatory eyes.

She was grinning at him, her sword lodged deep within his side, the cold steel seemingly drinking in his blood.

Primal anger bubbled over within him.

With a roar, he swung his elbow with crushing speed, clobbering it into the woman’s face and sending her hurtling through the air like a discarded ragdoll.

However, in her place, two more warriors imdiately flanked him: Lance and Da.

The axe wielder had already retrieved his second weapon the very mont Alba launched her assault.

With Da by his side, it was finally ti for the maneuver they had practiced until their hands bled.

Swooosh—!

Pluck leaned his head sharply to the side, narrowly dodging a horizontal strike from Lance.

He then quickly ducked low to avoid a follow-up punch from Da.

Before his own counter-attack could land, Da twisted his body with fluid grace, letting Pluck’s massive fist rush past harmlessly.

Lifting his second hand, a resonant clanging sound echoed as Pluck intercepted another heavy axe strike from Lance.

As Lance swung his left axe toward the man’s neck, Pluck bent his head forward to dodge it—only for the weapon to suddenly leave its user’s hand and fly into Da’s waiting grasp.

With a torrent of Ki swirling into the borrowed weapon, Da swung from a low angle, hamring the axe into Pluck’s face.

The impact caused a massive shockwave to blast outward, a wide chasm appearing beneath their feet from the sheer pressure.

Pluck was instantly sent lurching backwards, a fresh spray of blood erupting from his mouth.

Tossing the axe back through the air, Da saw Lance catch it easily.

Without a second’s pause, the duo bolted forward in perfect unison.

Pluck clapped his hands together with a thunderous boom.

A hundred Ki swords materialized in the air, descending toward the two in an instant.

That was when Alba rejoined the fray, unleashing two massive crimson slashes that shattered the Ki swords into fragnts, clearing the path for the charging boys to enter the vice leader’s guard once more.

A desperate punch from Da was caught firmly in Pluck’s grip, but the giant countered imdiately with a brutal knee to the boy’s abdon.

The impact caused a mist of blood to spritz from Da’s lips.

Lance leaped high, hurling his axes down at the hand Pluck was using to pin Da.

Seeing the twin blades falling, the man pulled back his hand in an instant, letting the axes streak past.

However, Lance intentionally let go of the handles mid-flight.

Grimacing in pain, Da swirled the last of his Ki into his toes and kicked the axe’s guard, sending it shooting toward Pluck at breakneck speed.

Like a bat out of hell, Pluck’s hands shot in front of his face, absorbing the staggering impact of the axe before deflecting it away from his body.

When he finally dropped his guard, the boys were already on top of him.

Da poured every remaining drop of Ki into his leg and, with a loud, bone-jarring crack, landed a crushing thigh kick that made Pluck moan silently in pain.

His knees finally buckled, hitting the ground with a heavy thud.

Just as he touched the earth, a Ki-infused axe kick from Lance bashed into his jaw, flinging his head upward for a dizzying mont.

Pluck’s teeth gnashed in humiliated anger at the reality of his situation.

A Stage Seven warrior held back—and beaten down—by re Stage Five fighters? How utterly infuriating.

But before he could even lift a hand to retaliate, Alba swooped in.

Her sword glowed with a deadly, crimson intent as she glared down at the kneeling man.

"Next ti, you won’t ss with the Crimson Lotus Clan," she declared coldly.

Pluck stared into her eyes for a few long monts, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

’So this is the power of this clan. A small group that prides itself on each other’s strength. So this... this is how they have survived in this world for so long?’

Alba was about to hurl her sword forward to unleash the final slash that would end it all, only for a loud, commanding shout to interrupt her.

"Wait! Don’t! I’m sure he has learned his lesson now!"

"Huh?"

Turning toward the source of the interruption, the group saw a man walking calmly out of the West booth.

It was the Leader of the Watcher’s Clan.
