Chapter 795: A Shady Faction

Chapter 795

"....."

The crowd were stunned at the swift victory for just a second and the next,

They exploded in cheers and screams of joy.

It wasn’t hard to spot citizens of the Umbrafell faction from the imnse show of joy and happiness at the victory that had just taken place.

But Grey was uncaring about all the happiness.

His eyes were fixed on the weapon in Mina’s hands causing his brows to knit in confusion.

’Why do the Umbrafell faction have a magically crafted weapon? As far as I know; I’m the only one in this world who can craft a magical weapon. And I haven’t even crafted much except for Killian’s sword.

So how did the Umbrafell faction get one? And for them to give a student no less, ans that they have more in stock. This-This is really troubleso now.’

He exhaled sharply while rubbing his temples and listening to so complaints of sothing rushing and piercing them in the leg forcing them to lift their feets up.

All these amidst the continuous cheers from more than half the spectators.

With a tired sigh, Grey rubbed his mask.

’Let’s not jump into conclusion yet and just observe so more.’

"Next wave!" Mina called out almost imdiately as the dead beast’s body disappeared from view.

"Certainly." The announcer’s voice rang out.

The portal opened up and spit out two beasts who imdiately rushed at the students.

From there, a fierce battle ensued with the group splitting themselves in two.

Each group had three warriors and they fiercely clashed with the beasts.

Weapons clanging and tearing through flesh. Blood sprayed in the air with every hit.

Even though they were severely understaffed at the mont, they actually held their own and kept going at it with the beasts.

Mina’s group was even the most efficient as they coordinated attacks seamlessly; weaving through claws and hooves alike like it was just a re distortion in the air.

Then with a few feints and precise injury around the beast’s ankles, Mina delivered the finishing blow with the tip of her spear still glowing a bit.

Twirling around, the trio dashed forward to aid the other trio.

Before they got there, the beasts slumped down dead in front of them as a boy could be seen on top the beast panting hard like soone who had just ran a marathon.

Giving him a curt nod, they called on the next wave.

Alba was just in awe at the efficiency the students were actually taking the beasts down at.

’... Shoot! If she wasn’t part of the Umbrafell faction, I would have emptied my pockets to have her.’

Her gaze directed at Mina.

The next wave was called upon and imdiately, three beasts walked out.

Instead of splitting apart, they decided to stick together as one with Mina out front just a few steps away.

The mont the portal snapped shut, the three beasts charged at them with more vigour.

Casting a swift glance towards the North booth, Mina charged her legs with Ki and so did the others and they bolted forward to et the beasts.

Lifting a finger in the air, two students who held spears bolted past her with incredible speed.

Though a bit faster, still slower in the eyes of the beasts.

The trio of death quickly swung their claws at the approaching humans.

Before they could strike though, the students quickly smashed their spears into the ground with all their might.

A small shockwave compared to that of Rivock’s earlier one, slamd into the beasts with quite the force that sent them skidding away.

That wasn’t all. They staggered like they were disorientated or sothing.

And with that, the remaining three students led by Mina darted forward and began clashing with the disorientated beasts.

Sparks flew as claws t steel.

Blood splattered in the air. Both from the humans and also from the beasts too.

Seconds stretched into minutes as the humans struggled, trying their hardest to take down the beasts.

One was down. Just left with two.

Still it wasn’t easy as minutes stretched on continuously and after twenty minutes, the remaining two beasts hit the ground after Mina and the boy from earlier simultaneously burnt through their heads.

With that, they managed to clear the third wave granting them a total of six points.

Still below the Aetherian academy, but far above the Noxarian academy.

However, the students were panting hard as sweat clung to their bodies. They could all feel their energy dwindling at quite the rate.

But what could they do?

With grit teeth, Mina called out.

"Next wave."

The crowd gasped in horror at her words.

It was evident that the next wave will be a total of four Divine ranked beasts.

They had all seen them struggling against three beasts a mont ago and they wanted to take on four beasts?

How?

However, the announcer nodded and the portal was summoned again.

Four beasts stepped out.

Seeing them, Mina didn’t wait for them to charge at them.

She quickly charged her spear with all the ki she had and the small glow on the tip brightened incredibly more and then,

Bang—!

A ball of fiery yellowish energy with a few streaks of orange could be seen flying forward at break neck speed.

The beasts barely had ti to react before the ball smashed into their ranks burning into two of them specifically, around their abdons.

The ball tore a gaping hole through it causing them to collapse with a wet thud.

Mina on the other hand, staggered to her knees while panting incredibly hard.

"Go on." She urged and the rest of the students bolted forward.

Another fierce clash followed with the students versus the remaining two beasts.

With Mina not fighting along with them, their manpower was considerably lesser but still, they kept pushing.

Grey on the other hand after seeing that ball of earlier, frowned deeply as he cast a glance at Mina then at the North booth.

’What a foul. No wonder they weren’t worried in creating this segnt. So they actually equipped all their students with magically crafted artifacts to help them in this battle?

Coupled with the fact that the students themselves were all stage five warriors; this is quite the imnse advantage and yet they claim to be fair?

At this point. The Noxarian academy should just forfeit because it is clear that the match up will be between the Umbrafell academy and the Aetherian academy. Reason be because of Rivock! A variable they hadn’t accounted for.’

He kept watching as the others were fighting with all their mights.

Ki slashes— both visible and invisible were flying all around.

Continuous bangs filled the air as injuries now appeared on both parties’ bodies.

One beast was now more weakened than the other and with a final ki slash, it fell to the ground with a thud.

More vigorous attacks followed and after five more minutes of continuous back and forth, the last beast fell too leaving the Umbrafell students totally exhausted as they all collapsed to their knees having cleared the fourth wave.

Glancing at their weapons, a scowl appeared on Grey’s face.

’The question remains; who made these and how did the Umbrafell faction get their hands on it?’
