Chapter 776: Mouth Watering Prize Pool

Chapter 776

"And now, it’s ti to announce the rules of the tournant and also the prize pool we have set."

All spectators edged forward in their seats while quietening down to listen to what the announcer from the north booth was saying.

***

In the North booth, three people sat on chairs with an imposing aura to them.

Two males and a female who sat in their middle.

The one doing the announcent stood off to the right with a glowing green crystal in front of his face that helped project his words outside.

Then off to the side, the students who would be participating in the tournant stood.

Dressed in ashen clothing, they stood with a calm powerful gait. The female in the group was the most confident out of the lots.

She looked so powerful and that was not an understatent as she was brewing with imnse power beneath.

After all, she was trained by a prodigy in the academy.

Beatrix. The sa lady sitting in the midst of the two n and staring ahead with a cold gaze to her eyes.

The man on Beatrix’s right was the figurehead of the Umbrafell faction. His gray hair cascaded down his back like a flowing garnt.

He doned a pristine white attire that was tight around his biceps and triceps.

He wasn’t equipped with a weapon. Not like he needed it thought. After all, he was a walking weapon himself.

To the left of Beatrix sat an old man. A man who was in his early sixties but looked to be in his mid thirties.

He doned a flowing white robe with his sunken black eyes staring outside in a chilling silence.

This was elder Ron— one of the many council of leaders that make up the Umbrafell faction. After the leader of the faction, the elders are next.

And elder Ron was the most powerful out of the council of elders.

"Call it." Ken— the figurehead and in turn the leader of the Umbrafell faction said.

Imdiately, the announcer nodded and turned to his crystal.

Back outside, everybody waited patiently to hear the prize pool.

"... The first prize in the pool is..." The announcer said causing everybody to hold their breaths in anticipation all except Grey who looked uninterested.

"... Two pure primordial beast cores."

Everybody gasped in shock at the first prize. Even Grey who looked uninterested earlier, quickly sat up in shock.

That was because the first prize was imnsely valuable. Two primordial beast cores?

Primordial ranked beasts were very rare to co across. They were the second most strongest beasts there are hence they were rare to co by.

And even if co across, it will take quite the number of strength to take the beast down. A beast with the power to erase clans.

To take one down would require the strength of stage 8 and above warriors and still, there would be incredible losses.

So how did the Umbrafell faction co across one. And they didn’t even put one core up, they put up two!

Which ans they took down two primordial ranked beasts?

Grey’s eyes began twinkling as he stared at the North booth with a sinister smile on his face.

’... Two primordial beast cores will really go a long way for . I could craft a world breaking weapon, or even upgrade Clara to an insane level of power.

I don’t want to know about the other prize pool, I need those cores. And I can’t get them if the other factions get to keep it, I need the Aetherian faction to win it.

If the Aetherian faction finally wins the prizes, I can snatch it from them after I’m done dealing with Orion. This is actually a win-win situation for .’

"..."

"... The second prize, we have a storage ring. A ring with unlimited storage space."

And funny enough, as the announcer was speaking, a holographic display appeared in the air showing each of the prizes.

From the beast cores to the ring. Each was displayed vividly in front of the crowd granting their prizes credibility.

"... The third prize is a personal gift from the leader of the Umbrafell faction which is; ten thousand gold coins to the most impressive student from the winning faction.

And finally, the winning faction would be granted the title of; Strongest faction of the year till the next tournant."

The spectators could be heard clapping loudly as cheers erupted from them after the announcer finished talking.

— That is more than generous of the Umbrafell faction.

— Honestly, the prizes are mouth watering especially the beast cores.

— They are really the nicest faction there is. They didn’t hold back and didn’t beco stingy.

— Honestly. The Umbrafell faction really went all out this year.

The comnts were pouring in from all around Grey from the spectators surrounding him.

"Ti for the rules of the tournant." The announcer’s voice rang out causing the crowd to slowly settle down and listened.

"... The leader knows how busy the others are hence he wants to make this tournant short, morable and intense..." the announcer’s voice trailed off.

Inside the north booth, the crystal had been snatched by Ken.

"Ahem... Good day great citizens of Umbrafell faction, and greetings to the other factions and students that have co far and wide for this tournant."

"... I’m the leader of the Umbrafell faction and like he said; I want to make this short and morable. Making the tournant short doesn’t an it will be easy. Because as you can see, the prize pool created by us housed quite the amount of mouth watering goodies."

The man paused briefly as everybody listened to his thick voice in silence unwilling to miss anything said.

"... Getting those prizes weren’t easy on our own part. So without further ado, let’s get into the scope of this tournant. We are dividing the tournant in two segnts.

The academy with the highest points in the two segnts wins."

— Just two segnts? That’s way too short.

— And easy. Right?

The voices of the spectators in the crowd was heard mumbling.

Ken’s voice quietened them down as he continued speaking;

"First segnt; it’s the death wave segnt."

— Death?!
