Chapter 761: An Overkill?

Chapter 761

"It’s the boss class beast of this world! A Divine ranked beast!"

Grey didn’t need the warning for him to quickly understand the threat of the beast.

"How is this possible? We have all been here for about an hour at best. There’s no way we killed enough beasts to summon the boss." Soone shouted in shock as they stared at the beast.

Gunlag too was worried as he shifted in his position.

’How is this possible? What’s going...’ his thoughts trailed off as sothing finally hit him.

"Could it be." He muttered as his mind went back to the large scale elental attack Grey had unleashed a while back.

’Did those attacks catch so beasts?’

There was no need worrying about this though because the beast had already moved.

Eyes locked on the humans out front which comprised Grey, Fenrir and so of the Crimson Lotus mber.

The mont it set eyes on them, its tongue swiftly shot out like a whip and at lightning speed.

Brook was about to move to block when Grey caught sight of sothing.

A greenish liquid could be seen dripping from the tongue of the beast onto the ground. It sizzled for a few monts burning a small hole through.

Seeing this, Grey quickly yanked Brook backwards and with his hand swung out, he unleashed an enormous gale of wind that slamd the tongue off course.

But this didn’t deter the beast though, it quickly pounced forward at full speed.

To slow it down, earth spikes began shooting out of the ground towards the creature.

But with blazing speed, it avoided each and every one of the attacks like they were nothing.

It appeared before Grey in the blink of an eye with its breath icy cold spraying across his face.

It lifted one of its massive leg and hurled it at the Supre Magus at break neck speed.

But for so reason, the mage refused to move one bit.

That was when...

Brook finally made his move as he darted forward. His tower shield was imdiately brought down in front of his face as his body blocked the mage.

Bang—!

The massive leg struck the shield causing a thunderous ringing sound to suddenly blare aloud.

The ground beneath Brook’s feet splintered with cracks spiderwebbing tres around them.

He was being pushed back. But with gritted teeth and ki swirling around him, he managed to hold back.

The beast quickly leaped away causing Brook to almost fall on his knees.

But before he could, his shield lit up in a bright radiance stunning him.

Grey just stood there smirking at this sight.

"You wanted to know the second function of the shield, check it out."

The next second—

BANG—!

A clamorous sound rang out with crazy intensity as a huge beam of energy burst out from the shield.

The recoil from the blast was imnse to the extent Brook went sliding backwards for tres on end before he finally ca to a halt.

The beam from the shield shot forth at lightning speed.

The beast stared at it with fury in its eyes and was prepared to block when sothing in it told it to do sothing different.

Instantly, it leaped away to the side just in the nick of ti as the beam tore through the ground it stood on like a piece of a parchnt.

Dust suddenly billowed into the air.

Brook stared at his shield with wide eyes and mouth hung open.

"What just happened?"

Grey didn’t imdiately reply as he took several steps forward.

A bright radiance shone around him and soon enough, a purple robe settled over him an instant.

The hem flapping softly as if caught by the wind.

A mask settled on his face too. Then a pair of lightning swords materialized in his hands.

"The second function of the shield is that: when a crushing force hits its surface, no matter how strong the attack is, the shield won’t break and it can covert the hit to an energy and shoot it back at twice the initial force."

Brook gawked at the shield with stars twinkling in his eyes.

"No fair! Now I want a modified weapon too!" Alba suddenly shouted as she stomped over from where she stood with her mouth pouted slightly.

"Supre Magus. Seems you are about to take things seriously." Killian called with an imnse grin on his face.

"I will help take the beast down too." Fenrir said as he took a stance ready to explode forward.

"The rest of you, stay back if you don’t want to get hurt. This is not your fight." Alba quickly sounded the warning aloud.

"Isn’t this an overkill against just a divine ranked beast? It’s not as if it’s a primordial rank." Gunlag suddenly found his voice as he shouted at the warriors out front.

Of course, the beast wasn’t about to stand around and watch the humans argue, it swiftly lunged forward at blazing speed.

Alba who had been facing Gunlag about to say sothing before, quickly turned back around to stare at the charging beast.

Almost imdiately, the air around the woman suddenly grew denser.

She clutched her second sword pulling it out of its scabbard as ki coursed through her body with full force.

And the next second, she exploded from where she stood with the strength of a raging bull causing rocks to splinter into the air.

A thunderous bang was heard as she dashed forward at full speed.

Within a heartbeat, she was now in front of the beast which quickly swung its tongue dripping with acid towards her.

She swiftly ducked under the attack as the tongue cracked past her head with a loud whoosh.

Cocking her hand back, suddenly twisted, swinging her sword from below with imnse force.

A crimson slash suddenly burst out of the sword smashing into the beast squarely in its abdon.

A thin slashed mark appeared on its chest not even drawing blood.

But the force of the strike was not sothing to scoff at though as the beast was sent skidding away frantically while the woman stood with a stoic expression on her face.

Her Crimson hair fluttering in the air calmly.

It was now obvious, Alba wasn’t playing around no more and was finally ready to unleash her power as a stage seven warrior... or so they thought.

"Will you look at that? How was it? Grey. Am I now strong enough to stand side by side with you?" She shouted as she turned to face the Supre Magus with a beaming smile on her face.

"Wh—?" Grey was about to say when...

"Hey. Look out!" Fenrir sounded the warning in an instant.

Twirling around, Alba was faced with the tongue from the beast speeding her way with full force.
