Chapter 741: How About Now?

Chapter 741

It did not take long for Da and Grey to reach the base of the Demonic clan.

The huge mountain looked like the hand of a gargantuan giant.

Leaping off from the ground, the duo could be seen hovering in the air for a mont before they passed through the opening.

Landing inside, the sound of chains rattling could be heard.

Grey glanced below his feet to see a thick, wide chain beneath him.

The sounds of hundreds of n training in several rooms around them filled the air.

Hot air wafted forth, slamming into Grey hard.

But for so reason, he was not even sweaty or fazed as he stared around.

Looking around, he could see three types of chains.

The one he currently stood on, a second that led to several locations in the place, and a third that was farther down.

People walking on the chains noticed Da and the person he brought.

They lifted their brows in confusion, but still gave a curt bow to Da before going about their way, ignoring the visitor.

The way the chains were structured, it was like three floors of a building.

The chains were as wide as a road.

"Let’s go," Da smiled as he pointed to the last chain down below.

With that, he leaped off, soaring downward.

He landed on the second chain.

Rattle—!

The chain swayed beneath his feet as Grey also landed beside him.

The heat here was much more intense than above. It felt as hot as a boiling pot of water.

Even Da could be seen breaking out in light beads of sweat.

But not Grey.

He stood calmly, seemingly unfazed by the change in temperature.

’How is he not affected? Damn it. Hopefully the last chain will break him. The heat there is triple what it is up here.’

With a sharp exhale, Da leaped off again and landed on the third chain along with Grey.

Da was barely holding himself back from collapsing, but he was determined to deliver Grey to his father.

They walked for a few monts before they stopped in front of a massive door.

Before Da could knock, a loud voice echoed out.

"Co in!"

Stretching his hand out, Grey’s pendant shimred and his mask settled into his grasp.

Putting it over his face, he nodded at Da, who finally pushed the door open.

Woooosh—!

A blast of wind rushed out, slamming into the duo with crushing force.

It carried a heat so intense it could make a person collapse.

Beads of sweat clung to Da’s face as he ground his teeth, trying not to succumb to the pressure.

’Years of being in this clan, and I still cannot get used to this.’

Grey, on the other hand, simply stared ahead with the sa unperturbed posture.

Da lifted a brow at the fact that the Supre Magus was not showing any signs of discomfort.

’Now that he has hidden his face, I do not even know if he is sweating or not.’

’F*CK! This heat is insane,’ Grey groaned inwardly as he stared into the room.

Another strained breath left Da’s mouth as he gestured for Grey to follow.

Tak. Tak. Tak.

They walked inside to see Borfan seated in a lotus position in front of a volcano that looked frozen in place.

With how hot the chamber was, it felt like being dumped inside a boiling crater.

And even then, Borfan was completely unfazed, his eyes still closed.

Just a trickle of sweat rolled over his body as his expression remained unchanged.

The mont he felt the presence in the room, his eyelids snapped wide open.

His focus settled on Da, who looked...as weak as ever.

His face was drenched in sweat as it took all his willpower to keep himself from collapsing to the ground.

The second person, however, was calm.

Even standing in front of Borfan did not seem to faze him.

He did not flinch, did not twitch, and did not even shudder.

Forget about Borfan. He was standing in front of a volcano, yet he was seemingly unaffected.

Even Da, who had always been called into this chamber for years, was still as affected as ever.

’Hmm. Interesting,’ he mused inwardly as he finally stirred from the ground.

"... Da. You can leave. I want to speak with the Supre Magus alone."

"Uhm," Da muttered as he lifted his head to stare at Grey for a mont.

The Supre Magus simply nodded at his ally.

With that, Da bowed toward his father before exiting the room.

Click—!

The door shut behind him, leaving Grey standing roughly four tres away from the clan leader.

"So... I have heard of you, and all your feats have reached my ears," Borfan began with a stoic expression on his face.

’Who the hell starts a conversation like that?’

All of a sudden, Borfan tilted his head to the side, peering at the mask resting on Grey’s face.

A frown crossed his features as he stared at it.

"And why is that mask on your face? It is quite disrespectful."

"It conceals my identity. I still do not know why you called

here, and the protection of my identity is my utmost priority."

’His voice is calm too? Or am I not intimidating enough? Have I lost my charm?’ Borfan frowned as the thought crossed his mind.

’Damn it. I have failed my generations of intimidators.’

Grey, on the other hand, had his hands subtly clenched.

Beads of sweat were rolling down his face behind the mask.

That was the reason he was wearing it. He did not want to show any signs of weakness, so he hid his face.

But it seed the wooden mask was only adding to his discomfort.

’This guy is dangerous. All my instincts are screaming. How can soone train in front of a volcano and not sweat? He is insane.’

A brief pause occurred between the two before Borfan broke it.

"So you will not remove it?"

Grey shook his head.

"I cannot."

Then,

A blur.

In just a blink, Borfan vanished from his sight.

Despite Grey’s sharp perception, he was unable to sense the man.

Woooosh!

He manifested directly beside him as if he had always been there, crossing the four tre distance faster than Grey could react.

Grey’s eyes widened in horror.

’Shoot!’

"How about now?"
