Chapter 686: What is Grey’s Actual Fifth Affinity?

Chapter 686

Deep inside the mountain top, Grey’s body was driven into the rocky interior with full force by Z5’s brutal slam.

Without hesitation, the upper zodiac still unleashed six hundred wind arrows spinning like maniacs into the gaping hole where Grey’s body had vanished.

"Muhahahaha! Supre Magus my foot! You will die today!" Z5 erupted into a loud cackle, gripping his stomach in amusent.

The arrows dove straight into the crater created by Grey’s fall and with no space to dodge or shift, he should have been riddled with countless blows.

The amusent on Z5’s face grew clearer behind the mask as he clutched his abdon with his remaining hand, chest rising with triumph.

"I want to see you get out of this today you acc..."

He suddenly went still, ears twitching as he strained to listen.

Yet nothing ca.

No echo, no rumble, no clash, nothing that suggested his attacks had connected with anything at all.

Even though the mountain was colossal, the arrows should have reached sothing by now.

Even if Grey had sohow evaded the barrage, they would have struck the mountain’s base.

But the silence was complete, almost eerie.

"Huh? What is going on?"

The mont the question left his mouth, the atmosphere shifted. The wind changed direction instantly, brushing against his skin like a warning.

Z5 spun around sharply only to see Grey floating in the open air, blood trickling steadily from the corner of his mouth.

His hand pressed against his side where blood seeped through his torn robe.

His arm was laced with dozens of cuts and punctures, possibly from the arrows or the crash, but who could say for sure?

"Hey," Grey said, voice rough and slightly strained.

"You speak a lot."

Z5’s frown deepened, his teeth grinding as fury simred beneath the mask.

Grey’s lips curved into a faint smirk.

"Just because you broke through, what now? You think you can harm ? Kek."

He let out a breathy chuckle before continuing.

"You really don’t know

at all. I beat up a pathetic mage who had the strongest trump card any mage could ever wield. I flattened soone who activated Magus Dominion.

And how did I do it? By simply breaking through and using four affinities, I made sure he kissed the ground like a worm."

Grey paused, wincing from the pain stabbing his side, but his smirk remained untouched.

"And you think with just a breakthrough and dual affinities, you can bring

down? Especially with

awakening my fifth special affinity? Ha. You’re amusing honestly."

Z5’s face twitched violently, anger bubbling hotter inside him as his hand clenched tighter, knuckles turning bone white.

"Enough is enough," he muttered coldly and with that...

A clamorous bang tore through the air with imnse force.

In the next instant, Z5 vanished like a violent storm ripping through the sky.

Grey remained in his spot, gripping his injured side while scanning the area calmly.

In a flash, Z5 materialised beside him, a massive wind sword slicing through the air at frightening speed, aiming straight for him.

Without turning, Grey exhaled softly and flicked his wrist.

An enormous wind sword manifested and clashed with Z5’s weapon in a brutal explosion of wind.

The mountain beneath them trembled in agony, rocks launching outward from the sheer pressure of the collision.

Grey finally turned to face the masked figure with a calm, mocking smile.

He proceeded to leap a few tres back, his hands leaving his bleeding side.

A hole could be seen there, but it no longer bled because he used Ki to seal the wound.

All the ti he stood speaking and watching Z5 rage, he had been trying to close the injury long enough so it stopped spilling blood.

Now, two lights began shining around his hands.

Gripping them tightly, he held two lightning swords, one in each hand, as he stared straight at Z5.

"Show

what you are made of before I make you suffer."

"AHHHH!"

Z5 bellowed with raw fury and then deafening bangs filled the air as he darted toward Grey.

His speed was so intense that he appeared to teleport.

He closed the distance instantly and appeared before the Supre Magus, and with that movent, a wind spear jabbed forward with devastating force.

Grey blocked with his lightning sword.

Before he could strike back, a massive wind blade ford beside Z5 and lunged forth at terrifying speed.

Grey caught that one with his second sword. A thunderous bang rippled outward as the ground beneath them shuddered with full strength.

From that swift exchange, the battle evolved into sothing far more chaotic.

The duo began moving at speeds the naked eye could not track.

They dashed from one side to another, trading punches and slicing at each other with relentless strikes.

Sparks burst into the air as they blurred through the sky. The mountain under their floating bodies shook violently from their continuous clash.

Magical projectiles flew across the sky with raw might. Each attack smashed into another, exploding in bursts of light.

Whenever one strike landed and sent the other blasting away, the victim would recover instantly and reappear to return a hit of his own.

That was the rhythm of the battle. Not slow, not simple, but a level of speed so overwhelming that only a few beings could follow its flow.

Blood splattered across the ground repeatedly.

Wind, lightning, shadow and even earth projectiles fired at intervals, colliding with brutal force and shaking the air around them.

To outsiders, they looked evenly matched, but deep down, Z5 knew the truth. One fighter currently held the advantage.

’Damn it. He is using all his affinities and I am barely avoiding them. He has not shown the fifth one yet.

What is that last affinity? What am I missing? If he uses it, I doubt I can escape without serious damage. I must find a way to seal his magic again so I can kill him, but he is not giving

any breathing space.’

Grey was grinning like a madman.

His hands moved in a flurry of strikes, weaving through Z5’s attacks while unleashing his own devastating blows.

A wind arrow shot toward him, but he blinked away, allowing it to continue its path into the forest where it shattered a massive tree.

He appeared behind Z5, his sword racing toward the man’s neck at frightening speed.

Sensing the surge of electricity in the air, Z5 spun around quickly and blocked with his wind sword.

The mont their blades collided, Z5 failed to account for the Ki enhancing Grey’s strength.

His entire body was hurled backward, blurring through the forest as he crashed into the distance with brutal force.
