Chapter 660: Trying to be Civil

Chapter 660

"Breathe wrong, move wrong and I promise you," a voice snarked from above as shimring light began appearing around Osric while fifty lightning arrows materialized directly in front of him, their razor tips aid solely at his chest.

"You will not live to tell the tale. And I am sure your clan will not miss one vice leader out of the three, right?"

The threat was real, the imminent danger unmistakable as a deep frown creased Osric’s face, his teeth grinding slowly as he rose from Killian’s body.

The Ki sword remained intact in his grip while he stepped backward, each step taken carefully as the floating lightning arrows continued to aim at him without wavering.

"Kuk!" Killian coughed loudly as he pushed himself upright, his movent shaky and sluggish.

Running down the stairs ca Ash, breathless and drenched in sweat.

He rushed to Killian and imdiately pulled him away while his wide eyes remained locked on the confrontation ahead.

"Now," Grey began as he drifted downward and landed smoothly, the descent almost graceful.

His robe fluttered lightly like a cape caught in a faint breeze.

His red hair swayed as the bloodied mask clung firmly to his face, the eerie glow behind the slits intensifying the strange aura he radiated.

"I want us to be civil hence," he said while waving his hand.

The lightning arrows blinked out of view imdiately before he tucked both hands into his pockets, his gaze cold and focused.

’My n?’ Osric thought as he turned slightly, his eyes scanning the fallen bodies scattered around.

Closing his eyes, he attempted to sense their Ki signatures, but the emptiness that greeted him confird the truth.

Every signature had vanished completely.

They were all dead.

All the warriors he brought had been wiped out, and the masked youth before him stood uninjured except for the splattered blood on the mask.

None of it seed to be his.

’But how? I saw those bizarre abilities earlier, but to imagine he defeated over three hundred n without sustaining a cut? It is insanity.

Yes, I am stage seven and could possibly handle such a task, but not without bleeding. That would be impossible.

Yet he... he is only stage three and achieved this? Who in the world is he?’ Osric wondered as his grip tightened around the Ki sword, anger mixing with disbelief.

Eventually, he let the Ki sword disperse, the shimring weapon fading into nothing.

His tense shoulders dropped, and he exhaled heavily.

"Good," Grey said with a smile hidden behind the mask.

"I am sure you have realised it already. All the n you brought are gone. They fell by my hand."

Killian turned toward Ash in shock.

Ash gave a small confirming nod before glancing away with unease written all over.

’How?’ Killian questioned silently as his heartbeat quickened.

"As I said earlier, I want to be civil." Grey continued.

"Yes, I killed those n and that’s only because they interrupted

while I was creating sothing important.

Ash told

that a force of this size from your clan is insignificant, almost like a drop in the ocean. Their loss would not affect your clan much.

But if I take the life of a vice clan leader, that will cause problems for . That would bring thousands of your mbers charging toward . I have no desire to make entire families lose loved ones, so I intend to spare your life."

"Huh?" Osric muttered before bursting into wild laughter.

"What makes you think I am at your rcy?"

"Hmm... true," Grey said with a subtle nod.

"How about this then? Everything you have witnessed so far was not even half of my actual strength. Will you still claim you are not at my rcy?"

’What?!’ Osric froze for a mont, taking a small involuntary step backward as his mouth hung slightly open.

He forced himself to regain his composure quickly, though his heartbeat had spiked.

"That is cap! You expect

to believe that nonsense? Tch! You cannot fool , I am not stupid!" he shouted angrily.

Sighing, Grey rubbed his forehead with one hand as if the conversation exhausted him.

"Honestly, I have a pounding headache. I have been crafting for several hours, and when I was close to making sothing truly ga changing, all of you barged in and ruined it.

"I got thrown straight into a battle with hundreds of n and I won. And you are making

talk a lot. I truly am not one for long speeches so kindly listen and act maturely."

"So you an that I’m not mature?!" Osric shouted in fury as his hands glowed a fierce yellow, Ki vibrating across his knuckles.

"You definitely are acting and throwing tantrums like a toddler right now. So explain to

how that resembles maturity?" Grey asked, a deep frown settling on his features.

"There is no obligation for you to listen to ," Ash quickly intervened, slicing through the tension with urgency.

"But listen, Osric, you didn’t witness everything I did because you were occupied fighting Killian. Kindly hear

out, you do not want to provoke the Supre Magus."

Ash drew in a shaky breath before continuing:

"And do not forget that Alba must have sensed the chaos from this attack. She should be heading here with the rest of the clan mbers already.

You may have inflicted heavy damage on Killian, but are you truly confident that you can withstand the combined force of the entire Crimson Lotus Clan along with the Supre Magus? You have heard our accomplishnts and witnessed so of our battles. You should recognise reality."

Osric didn’t respond.

He simply clenched his fists tighter, jaw grinding in frustration.

"So listen to ," Grey resud calmly, picking up where Ash stopped.

"Kindly, and you can see I am intentionally using that word because I hardly use it. Go back to your clan and tell your leader not to try anything reckless again."

Grey’s voice deepened as he continued:

"I might not be strong enough to overwhelm your leader at this exact mont, but if he insists on provoking , I have individuals powerful enough to erase your clan completely. That is not cap." His mind flashed with the image of Thalos.

Then ca another mory, far more overwhelming.

A phoenix wrapped entirely in lightning, an avian embodint of divine destruction.

A lightning phoenix whose power had rivalled a celestial being during their earlier clash.

"So what do you say? Will you live to fight another day or do you want everything to end right here?" Grey asked, one hand pointed ahead as he watched Osric grit his teeth so fiercely it looked ready to snap.

’Returning with nothing but corpses and a failed mission is humiliating. It could even place

in serious trouble with the clan leader.

But if I stay and fight, Alba will definitely arrive and once the Crimson Lotus Clan cos together, they rarely lose which ans the battle will beco extrely troubleso.

Damn it, damn it, damn it! The choice is obvious.’ Osric thought as he exhaled sharply and lifted his gaze toward the trio.

"Fine then, you all win for now. But you are making a grave mistake letting

walk away because when I return, you will face the full wrath of the Behemoth Clan, that is my promise!" Osric roared as Ki surged violently around his feet.

"Yeah sure, and I will just keep annihilating your army every ti." Grey muttered casually while waving one hand.

BANG!

Osric propelled himself into the air with trendous force, shattering the floor beneath him as he shot upward, piercing through the ceiling and disappearing into the night.

He escaped, leaving behind the trio and the fallen corpses of hundreds of n scattered across the battlefield.

That final move marked the true end of the confrontation and at last, everyone could breathe without fear.
