Chapter 655: Freedom?

Chapter 655

’This is absurd, who is the Supre Magus?’ Ash gulped inwardly at what he was staring at.

BANG!

The deafening bang followed by the blitz of speed sealed the n’s fate as Grey dove back down and in a flash, he was already back in their midst.

Before they could even register what was happening, chaos erupted violently around them.

ZIP!

Grey darted in front of one of the n and before the unfortunate soul could react, his sword pierced straight through his chest. Blood sprayed forward as the lifeless body slid to the ground.

Grey then twisted sharply, bringing his blade down upon another man’s skull, splitting it apart before kicking the corpse with brutal force, sending it hurtling into the distance and crashing into another target.

The carnage unfolding was enough to freeze the hearts of those watching.

Fear crawled into the eyes of the n as they slowly retreated, their hands trembling uncontrollably.

Grey’s eyes glowed with fierce intensity even through his mask as he glared at every one of them like they were insects waiting to be crushed.

While a few of them chose to charge out of raw desperation, the others had already decided it was better to flee.

After all, no amount of money could make soone face a nightmare like this. It was better to run than die aninglessly.

"You all broke my concentration and ruined the perfect weapon I was crafting. It is unforgivable." Grey stated coldly as one man dashed to his flank, swinging his sword toward his neck.

Without lifting a single finger, a wind sword materialised beside him and shot forward, cutting cleanly through the man’s throat, causing him to collapse instantly.

The n who attempted to flee shoved Ash aside as they darted for the stairs, panic guiding their steps.

Those who were more frantic prepared to leap over the broken railing toward the first floor, hoping gravity would spare their lives.

But Grey had no intention of letting anyone escape that easily.

Even while surrounded by over two hundred n, his gaze swept the entire hall with sharp precision.

Almost imdiately, a hundred lightning spears crackled into existence, the terrifying light illuminating the hall and making Ash’s heart pound wildly as the hairs on his body stood tall.

FWIIIISH!

The spears shot past Ash at blinding speed, rattling his robe so fiercely that the hood was blown off his head.

The spears continued forward, and screams of agony instantly filled the air as bodies dropped in clusters.

The projectiles had struck the back of their legs, hitting around the thighs.

The brutal pain from the stab combined with the jolt of lightning was enough to immobilise them completely, leaving them writhing helplessly on the ground while Grey continued dealing with those still foolish enough to engage him.

’He...He is a one man army. His abilities are beyond comprehension, he is unlike anyone I have ever witnessed. Truly, he is sothing special.’ Ash swallowed hard as he watched Grey casually duck beneath a wild swing that was inches from splitting his head.

Grey’s foot slamd into the attacker’s stomach, lightning surging through the man’s body as he was blasted away screaming.

Another strike ca his way but Grey intercepted it instantly with his normal sword.

With the opening created, he stabbed the attacker in the chest using his lightning blade and left it embedded there before kicking the man aside to free his arm.

In one fluid motion, he spun around, reaching behind himself as a wind sword materialised in his grasp.

He slashed it forward at incredible speed, his hand moving like a blur as a thin slash appeared on another man’s neck, blood spraying out as the body collapsed.

The next mont, blood spurted out before the man slid to his knees.

Grey kept moving like a phantom, and with every swift step, more blood sprayed across his mask, adding an even more terrifying aura to his already fearso appearance as he weaved between bodies, carving down opponents one at a ti.

’Hm... I suppose I can use interdiate magic skills for them. But nothing too advanced.’ Grey reminded himself silently as a spear ca dangerously close to piercing his back.

He sensed the danger instantly and leaped into the air.

In a single fluid motion, he twirled like a wild tornado and unleashed a final roundhouse kick.

Blades of wind tore outward from his leg, slicing through several necks effortlessly as half a dozen n collapsed at once, their bodies dropping like lifeless sacks.

"Huh? Up above?" Grey murmured as he pointed upward and foolishly, a man directly in front of him followed his gesture.

When he looked up, his eyes widened in horror at the sight of a lightning arrow hovering above his head.

A simple snap of Grey’s fingers sent the arrow screaming downward, impaling the man through the skull.

Blood spurted upward, splattering across Grey’s mask in grueso patterns.

"He is a demon wearing human skin, kill him!" one of the n shouted as they all attempted to swarm him, but Grey simply released a calm sigh.

His wind sword dissipated from view as he stretched both hands toward the incoming wave of attackers.

"Aerius Ultra." He uttered, voice steady.

And then...

BOOOM!

A colossal gust of violent wind exploded outward like a raging hurricane, slamming into the rushing n and hurling them against the walls.

Cracks spread across the stone as bodies smashed helplessly into the surfaces.

Blood sprayed from their mouths, eyes rolled back, and they dropped into unconscious heaps.

Out of the initial three hundred and fifty n, only fifty remained.

Grey had dealt with the first three hundred smoothly, efficiently, and terrifyingly without shedding even a droplet of his own blood.

The surviving n stood frozen, trembling uncontrollably as raw fear devoured their resolve.

Their hands shook violently, teeth chattered uncontrollably, and their souls nearly escaped their bodies as they stared at the Supre Magus.

"Oh, now I recognise so of you." Grey muttered with a deepening frown.

"Monts like this make

grateful for my sharp eyes and reliable mory. You were the sa people who destroyed the door to the room I was in earlier, right?"

None of the n answered.

Their legs wobbled violently as they replayed the horrifying scene of what Grey had done from the mont he descended.

Panic hamred in their chests as cold dread seeped through their bones.

"Answer my question. Did you or did you not destroy that door? Yes or no? If you respond honestly, who knows, I might actually let you walk away." Grey added with a casual shrug, as though he was discussing weather and not deciding their fate.

The n exchanged terrified glances among themselves before reluctantly nodding in unison.

"Oh, so I was right." Grey sighed tiredly as he abruptly stepped aside, clearing the path that led to the staircase.

"You are free to go for speaking the truth."

"Huh?!" Ash shouted in disbelief, his voice echoing across the hall as he stared at Grey with a gaping mouth, unable to comprehend what was happening.
