Chapter 514: A Devilish Thought!

Chapter 514

"AHH! That was tiring." Grey sighed as he walked into the room with Thalos, and they quickly shut the door behind them. "I wonder how long Da will take though."

"Probably a few hours." Thalos replied as he took his usual position on the chair in the room.

"Before I begin my experint, let

quickly make those pills for him in case he cos back." Grey muttered as he tossed the bag in his hand to the side.

Luckily, he had bought a pack of chalk on his way back, and now he crouched down and began carefully sketching out a magic circle to craft more pills. His fingers moved with practiced precision as the chalk etched glowing white lines across the floor.

After the warning Thalos had given him earlier, Grey decided to take things slow and steady this ti.

So he chose to draw out the magic circle for the purple pills first. In a minute, the circle was complete, its runes flaring faintly. He began producing the pills two at a ti.

The process took a few minutes each round, the effort draining but manageable, and soon enough, he had completed the set of purple pills.

Right in front of him were fifteen glowing purple pills made especially for Da. He leaned back slightly and rubbed his shoulders, deciding to rest up and recover his mana before starting the blue pills.

Thalos remained silent, his glowing eyes fixed on Grey. He didn’t interrupt, only sat calmly with his chin propped against his knuckles as he watched the young Supre Magus work with almost obsessive focus.

Within thirty minutes, Grey’s mana had replenished, his body brimming with energy again. He got to work on the blue pills.

Ten beast cores went into their making, birthing ten shining blue pills for Da. Luckily, his mana and Ki weren’t completely exhausted this ti, though a sharp ache pulsed across his temples. He ignored the headache with a grimace and pressed on.

"Perfect." He muttered with a faint smile as he dropped the pills into a small pouch and tossed it over to Thalos. "Hold that for , will you? I need to work on my own pills before I fully begin my experint."

Without complaints, Thalos caught the pouch midair, tucked it into his own belt pouch, and leaned back once more, continuing his quiet role as a spectator.

Within a few minutes again, Grey was done creating his own set of purple pills. He managed to produce seven this ti, and with the previous ones he had crafted the last ti he visited, he now had a total of ten purple pills.

He allowed himself a short rest, closing his eyes as he leaned against the wall, before preparing to complete the blue pills for himself. While resting, he casually flicked through the thick, leather-bound crafting book in his hands, his gaze scanning over every diagram.

’I need a way to forcefully awaken my lightning magic before I return back to the academy. But how? Either I find a beast with the lightning ability or I hunt down a thunderstorm.

But according to Thalos, thunderstorms don’t exist in this world. Which leaves

with only one option. I have to find a beast with the lightning attribute. Sohow. Because right now, the only thing I can do is summon small sparks of static. Nothing lethal, nothing destructive.’

"Thalos." Grey calmly called out as he kept flicking through the pages, pausing here and there on a passage about elental reinforcent. His eyes narrowed, calculating. "How rare are beasts with abilities?"

"Not really rare." Thalos replied with a small sigh, rubbing his temples as though recalling past encounters. "A really powerful Saint-ranked beast can have an ability."

"Oh really?!" Grey chuckled at the thought, but the laughter faded quickly. He fell silent as a mory hit him hard.

’Nope! No way I’m trying that right now. That mission we were given... that damned beast beca corrupted and it felt like we were battling sothing close to a Saint-ranked monster.

It took four of us together, hamring at it for several minutes, all while taking insane hits and injuries, before we even managed to bring it down. If Rivock hadn’t been there with his strange ability, I’m pretty sure we’d all be corpses.’

Grey shook his head lightly, letting out an inward sigh as his mana steadied and his headache dulled.

Then he crouched down again, chalk in hand, and ticulously drew another magic circle across the ground. His strokes were slower this ti, more careful, every rune etched with precision until the pattern glowed faintly.

Once it was ready, he got to work crafting his personal set of blue pills.

’Co to think of it, crafting these blue pills isn’t nearly as exhausting as creating the purple pills. Strange. Hold on... that reminds . How the hell did Rivock even manage to make his Ki explode during that battle? Was that a skill? A technique? Or sothing else entirely?’

The thought lingered heavily in Grey’s mind as the faint hum of the circle filled the quiet room.

’Is that like a special technique or ability exclusive to his clan? Just like this breathing technique is exclusive to the Cromwell Family. Speaking of the Cromwell Family, I really miss Yami sir and his family. I wonder how they are doing.

Especially that wicked Yami sir. His rigorous training almost killed , and I still rember the ti he threw

off a cliff claiming he was training . Tch! I hope he also falls down the cliff one day.’ Grey scoffed inwardly as he began crafting his blue pills, carefully pressing the ingredients together with sharp precision. The faint aroma of herbs filled the air as the pills slowly took shape.

ACHEEW!

"Huh? Did you suddenly catch a cold or sothing?" Clarice asked as she stared at her husband rubbing his nose.

"Nope! It’s not a cold. Looks like soone is having an evil and devilish thought towards ." Yami replied as he rubbed his nose and then looked at the dining table with a small frown on his face. "And I have a feeling I know exactly who that is."

"Dad." Millie suddenly called out as her eyes grew moist. "I’m missing brother Grey a lot. When is he going to co back?"

"No idea, dear." Yami sighed as he lazily stared at his plate, pushing the food around with his fork. "I also miss the little rascal too."

’I miss him more than you all.’ Vanessa thought with a scoff as she lazily played with her food in deep thought. She twirled her spoon absentmindedly, her mind wandering far from the lively chatter at the table.

"Don’t worry, little one." Clarice said with a wide smile as she pulled Millie’s cheek carefully. "I have a strong feeling that Grey and Finral would be back soon.

And before they return, you need to show them that you’re strong enough to stand side by side with them. Because I assure you, they aren’t coming back the sa as they used to."

"Don’t worry, mum," Millie said as she suddenly shot out of her seat and climbed onto the chair with a wide grin plastered on her face. "I will grow strong enough to beat anybody that looks at or taunts brother Grey anyhow." She huffed with determination, puffing her cheeks out like a little warrior.

"Sure you will. Now get back down and finish your food." Clarice chuckled and the little girl sat back down, quietly beginning to eat her food again. The sound of her spoon clinking against the plate filled the warm silence.

’Grey, Finral, Ray, I hope you three are okay and safe wherever you are. Please don’t cause trouble.’ Yami thought with a quiet sigh as he decided to finish his food. Yet deep within, he could not shake off the feeling that their paths were already shifting into sothing far greater than the family could ever imagine.
