Chapter 388: Learning the cyclone fanged kick!

Chapter 388

"Now, I’ll teach you the Cyclone Kick, and after that, we head ho," Yami said with a smirk.

"Oh yeah! Now I’m pumped!" Grey exclaid, cracking his knuckles hard. A loud pop echoed as he flexed his fingers, a wide grin stretching across his face.

"Now that you know how to swirl Ki around your body, and you’ve mastered unleashing a swift roundhouse kick, it’s ti for you to learn the Cyclone Fanged Kick.

This technique will bring together everything you’ve learned so far," Yami explained, leaping back and landing about four ters away from Grey. "Can you hear

from there?"

"Yes," Grey replied, raising an eyebrow. "But why are you so far away?"

"Because I’m about to demonstrate, and trust , you don’t want to get caught in what’s about to go down. So pay close attention," Yami warned as he shifted into the sa stance he used earlier when demonstrating a roundhouse kick.

"When I speak about timing—this technique demands it. To execute it effectively, you must ti your opponent precisely. You target them when they least expect it, when they’re vulnerable and unable to react.

"This move works best against enemies who are either weaker than you or already significantly weakened. That’s why it worked on you when Vanessa used it yesterday. But if she were to try it on ?" He chuckled, shaking his head. "It wouldn’t be nearly as effective."

He then continued, "What Vanessa showed you was an unfinished version of the Cyclone Fanged Kick. I’m about to show you the complete version. So kindly step aside from my line of vision."

Without hesitation, Grey leapt out of the way.

"Now, watch and learn," Yami said firmly.

With that, he sprang into the air, initially appearing as if he were going to perform a standard roundhouse kick—but then, mid-air, he began to spin.

Rapidly.

His body twisted so fast that he resembled a miniature tornado spiraling through the sky. Then, with one final spin, he unleashed a devastating roundhouse kick.

BOOOOM!

A thunderous, earth-shattering sound echoed as a violent gust of slicing wind burst forth from his foot.

Whoooosh!

The force of the wind tore through the mountain ahead of them, carving a massive gouge deep into the rock.

"Yooo!" Grey exclaid, eyes wide with awe. He stared at the scarred mountain, utterly stunned by the sheer destructive force of the kick. Yami landed smoothly in a crouched position, a satisfied smile on his face as dust and debris settled.

"Was that the finished product?! You unleashed energy from your foot that literally tore through solid rock!"

"I’m glad you’re observant," Yami replied, rising to his feet as he turned to glance at the deep trench carved into the mountain. The wind still howled faintly from the blow, echoing through the valley.

"That’s why I said it won’t work on soone stronger than you. You need your foe to be weakened—maybe even disoriented. Then, BAM! You strike at the perfect mont. Timing is everything."

"But... you emitted Ki during that attack, right? How was it that effective?" Grey asked, still amazed.

"I used the second stage of Ki—the one I told you about earlier," Yami explained with pride. "With every spin in the air, I built up more Ki. Each rotation multiplied my power. Then, with the final kick, I released a slicing gust of pure Ki. That’s what tears through your opponent like a blade through paper."

"Can I do that too?" Grey asked, stars practically dancing in his eyes with anticipation.

"Hahaha! Kek, Kek, Kek!" Yami burst into laughter, thoroughly amused. "Can he do that? Hahaha! No!" he answered quickly, shaking his head, his expression sobering as he locked eyes with Grey.

"To do that, you need to be a higher-stage Yun warrior," he explained. "What you saw Vanessa do yesterday? That’s how your own technique will look for now—basic, unrefined.

Until you reach a much higher stage and build up a lot of Ki, you won’t be able to replicate what I just did." Yami nodded with a smug grin dancing on his lips.

"Tsk! Party pooper," Grey muttered with a scoff, crossing his arms in irritation. "So, how strong are you then?"

"I don’t know," Yami replied with a shrug. "Depends on who can push

hard enough to get serious." His smug smile didn’t waver.

"Well, sothing’s better than nothing." Grey rolled his eyes and turned back toward Yami. "Teach

the skill already. I want to be able to do it too."

"Yeah, I’ll teach you. But that’ll have to wait till tomorrow—it’s getting late." Yami sighed and glanced up at the sky, noticing the sun beginning to dip behind the distant hills.

"Oh, co on!" Grey growled in frustration, his shoulders slumping.

"Let’s just fix it for tomorrow," Yami said with a chuckle.

Grey clicked his tongue, visibly annoyed. "Fine. Let’s head back." He turned to walk away.

"Huh? Aren’t you forgetting sothing?" Yami called out, raising a brow.

Grey stopped and turned. "What am I forgetting?" he asked, only to see Yami pointing at a set of tallic hand and leg weights lying on the ground.

"Oh! I did forget about that." Grey chuckled sheepishly as he walked over to the equipnt. He paused and gulped audibly, eyeing the gear nervously. "Are you sure my bones won’t break if I wear these?"

"What’s 200 kilograms to soone like you?" Yami asked with a devilish smirk as Grey slowly reached for the weights. "Just know this: once you put them on, you’re not allowed to take them off—no matter what. Well... unless you’re taking a bath or sothing.

"They must stay on at all tis—when you walk, when you train, when you eat, when you sleep. Heck! Even when you take a dump. These weights should beco part of you."

Grey’s eyes widened. "Seriously? Isn’t that a little too extre?" he asked, frowning.

"You asked for a challenge. I’m giving you one." Yami gave a one-shouldered shrug.

"Well, the path to attaining strength and power never cos easy," Grey mumbled his usual mantra as he crouched down and began strapping on the 200KG weights.

Each guard felt like a chunk of a mountain being laid on him. One after another, they clamped down, pressing into his limbs with unforgiving force.

The mont he fastened the last piece, he collapsed to his knees with a loud thud, his breathing instantly turning ragged. Beads of sweat poured down his face as his body trembled.

"Th...th...this is so hea...heavy," Grey stamred, panting. "It feels like the first day I had to run up and down a mountain." He stayed crouched, the crushing weight threatening to pin him permanently to the earth. Even drawing breath beca an ordeal—his lungs felt compressed, his chest tight.

His eyes bulged slightly from the strain, his fingers curling into fists as he tried to push himself up with trembling arms.

"If you follow everything I say, I promise—no one will be able to stand against you," Yami said with a confident smile as he began walking away. "So, let’s go ho."

"C...co on! I can barely walk. Heck! I...I can barely breathe," Grey wheezed, his voice hoarse as he tried to move.

With monuntal effort, he began dragging one foot forward, then the other. Each step felt like walking through a swamp of concrete, his muscles screaming in protest.

His entire body trembled under the pressure, and it felt like his bones might crack at any mont. But he didn’t stop.

"Co on, slowpoke. Pick up the pace," Yami called out teasingly, not bothering to slow down. "At this rate, we’ll get ho in three months."

"C...curse yo...you, Yami!" Grey groaned as he continued dragging his limbs forward. His face and body were now completely drenched in sweat, his will the only thing keeping him from collapsing.
