Chapter 338: Crush the Beast!
Chapter 338
"Raze! Co with !" Amir shouted, his voice sharp and commanding as he surged forward. Raze followed without hesitation, both warriors zeroing in on the monstrous, ten-ard gorilla looming ahead of them.
Boom!
Amir exploded from his position like a cannonball, mana surging around him as a gleaming longsword ford in his hand. With a thunderous leap, he brought the blade down in a precise arc.
But the beast reacted instantly—five of its massive fists rose to block the blow. The sword clashed with a tallic crunch, sparks flying as the gorilla skidded several feet back, its feet gouging trenches into the arena floor.
"Raze!" Amir called, not missing a beat.
"On it, boss!" Raze responded, clapping his hands together. Instantly, a dozen tal spears shot out like missiles, slicing through the air toward the beast.
The gorilla snarled, then grabbed Amir mid-move and flung him directly into the path of the spears.
Clang!
They crashed into Amir’s back with brutal force. His robes shredded, revealing shimring protective armor beneath—no wounds, but a close call.
"Sorry!" Raze yelled, wincing.
Amir ignored him, already springing to his feet—only for the gorilla to appear before him in a blur.
Bang!
Ten massive knuckles slamd forward. Amir conjured a broad tal shield just in ti, raising it to his face. The strike rang like a church bell, sending him skidding backwards, heels grinding into the ground.
The shield trembled, cracks spiderwebbing across its surface.
"Let the captain go!" Raze roared, blasting forward with tal energy flaring from his limbs.
As the gorilla wound up for another punch, Raze unleashed a roundhouse kick that sent a crescent-shaped tallic slash hissing through the air.
The air groaned with pressure as the arc approached.
The gorilla spun, smashing its fists into the attack.
Boom!
The tallic wave burst against its knuckles, detonating in a flash of dust and rubble.
Amir used the distraction. He tossed his cracked shield with perfect precision. It whirled like a buzz saw and collided into the beast’s side.
Bang!
The impact knocked the gorilla off balance—right into Raze’s strike zone.
"Here we go!" Raze snarled, swinging his empty hands down—where a massive warhamr materialized mid-motion. With a brutal cry, he brought it crashing into the beast’s midsection.
CRACK!
A concussive shockwave burst out from the impact, splitting the ground and sending debris flying. The gorilla was hurled back, blood trickling from its lip.
"Did... did I get it?" Raze asked, panting.
The hamr suddenly lost weight.
Raze blinked. "Wait—what—?"
The gorilla had vanished again.
Then—boom!
It reappeared, inches from him, a wicked grin stretching across its bloodstained face. All ten fists rose like battering rams.
"Shit!" Raze shouted, conjuring a thick wall of tal in desperation.
But he was too late.
CRASH!
The beast’s fists hamred through the wall like it was made of paper, shards of twisted tal flying as the structure shattered on impact.
"Argh!" Raze groaned as he was launched through the air, blood streaking from the corner of his mouth. His tal wall shattered into gleaming shards behind him, and his body slamd violently into the ground. He tumbled and bounced across the battlefield like a ragdoll, finally crashing to a halt with a heavy thud.
ROARRR!
The gorilla let out a thunderous roar that shook the arena, its crimson eyes gleaming with savage intent.
It slamd its chest with all ten of its massive fists, the sound echoing like a war drum, before bolting forward with terrifying speed—straight at the barely recovering Raze.
Gasping, Raze looked up, his eyes widening as the shadow of the charging beast lood over him like a storm cloud blotting out the sun.
"Wait—do you seriously want to crush ?!" Raze yelled, scrambling to move. But before the gorilla could reach him, a massive spiraling tal pillar burst from the ground with a sonic BOOM, smashing into the beast mid-air.
The impact sent the gorilla hurtling sideways, crashing into the earth with enough force to leave a crater. Dust and debris exploded outward as the creature bounced violently before skidding to a stop.
"You okay?" Amir asked calmly, striding toward Raze as the younger warrior pushed himself shakily to his feet.
"Yeah... Thanks, Cap." Raze grinned weakly, wiping blood from his mouth. "That was close."
"This is going to get harder real soon." Amir muttered, his gaze fixed on the rising silhouette of the gorilla, now groaning as it pulled itself upright.
’And not only that...’ Raze thought, clenching his fists. ’My mana’s draining faster than I expected. At this rate, I’ve got maybe five minutes before I burn out.’
The beast shook its head, trying to dispel the disorientation from the blow. Its ten fists clenched, muscles rippling as it let out a low, guttural growl.
"Shall we?" Amir asked, summoning a massive tal hamr that materialized in his hand with a crackle of mana.
"Let’s crush this overgrown monkey." Raze smirked, mana swirling around him as a gleaming tal axe appeared in his grip.
Without hesitation, Raze burst forward, the ground cracking beneath his boots from the sudden force. The gorilla charged at the sa ti, a collision of raw power imminent.
"Eat my axe!" Raze roared, bringing the weapon down in a heavy arc. The sheer weight behind the blow fractured the earth, sending stone fragnts flying. The gorilla responded with a brutal swing of its knuckles, eting the axe head-on.
CLANG!
The impact rang out like a bell tolling doom, and Raze’s knees buckled slightly from the sheer force.
ROARRR!
In a blur, the gorilla disengaged two of its arms from the clash and swung them forward again, aiming to puml Raze’s sides.
But a sharp whistle sliced through the air as a tal spear surged from the flank, forcing the beast to recoil and deflect it with a backhand blow. The spear shattered into silver shrapnel, glinting in the light.
The beast snarled, lifting its head to scan for Raze—but he was already gone.
Instead, Amir stood in its path, hamr in hand, smirking.
"Peek-a-boo!" he quipped.
With one fluid motion, Amir swung the hamr from beneath in a savage uppercut. The weapon smashed into the gorilla’s jaw with a thunderous CRACK, the force lifting the beast clean off its feet and launching it across the arena.
The hulking monster soared through the air before crashing into a wall with such power that the structure groaned under the impact, dust and stone raining down around it.
