Jiangtan No. 66 French Restaurant, as the na implies, is a high-end French restaurant located by the riverside in Celestial Sea City.

Due to its classic French cuisine and its unique culinary philosophy, it made quite an impression within the circles upon its opening.

Coupled with its elegant environnt and riverside location, it quickly beca one of the favorite restaurants for many celebrities and wealthy individuals.

Li Jing drove to Jiangtan No. 66 French Restaurant in a Maserati. The sleek, cool car did not attract much attention, but An Tong, stepping out in a striking red dress, caught the eyes of several n around.

"Sir, are you here to dine with us?"

Just as they got out of the car, a young male greeter quickly approached.

Although he was slightly dazzled by An Tong’s appearance, he knew that the well-dressed young man in front of him was his primary focus of service.

"I reserved a table by the riverside."

Since Li Jing had previously encountered obstacles due to not having a reservation, now whenever he visits such high-end restaurants, he ensures to make reservations to avoid disappointnt.

After verifying Li Jing’s reservation details, the greeter smiled and led him into the restaurant.

Though the overall atmosphere of the restaurant appeared upscale and tasteful, it lacked the solemnity of traditional establishnts. The decor featured a clever blend of modern elents and vintage charm, with tables, chairs, and counters mostly minimalistic, complented by vintage artworks strategically placed as decoration.

Li Jing’s reserved table was near the riverside, offering views of the picturesque riverside scenery and the dazzling lights across the river.

As night fell, city lights began to illuminate. Various modern buildings along the riverside glimred with different lights, resembling precious gems that highlighted the vibrancy and prosperity of Celestial Sea City’s nightlife.

Sitting down, An Tong, having just shifted her gaze from the understated luxury of the restaurant’s decor, was again captivated by the cityscape outside the window. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly, with a faint glow erging from the depths of her eyes.

This world of opulence crafted by wealth gradually unlocked An Tong’s inner desires.

Multiple experiences of glamorous luxury consumption had increntally raised her expectations and craving for a higher quality of life.

"Sir, here is our nu. May I take the lady’s order, or will you be ordering?"

Seeing the waiter bring the nu, Li Jing had initially planned to let An Tong choose her favorites, but noticed she blushingly shook her head.

He initially thought she was shy, but upon taking the nu, he discovered it was entirely in English.

Fortunately, Li Jing had been a top student, and although his English was not particularly extraordinary, it was decent.

"Your text is really small."

Li Jing couldn’t help but complain about the tiny, dense English on the nu, without illustrations, seemingly high-end yet incredibly inconvenient.

He adjusted the nu under the light before speaking, "Let’s start with a bottle of this Moet&chandon Rose."

Though he had never tried it, the 1480-yuan price suggested it probably wouldn’t be bad.

"Certainly."

The waiter didn’t dare show any dissatisfaction towards Li Jing’s complaints, maintaining a respectful deanor while jotting down his order.

"And then this..." Li Jing’s finger continued moving downwards.

Though unfamiliar with so specialized English terms, Li Jing could understand most of it. If he encountered sothing unclear, he would directly ask rather than pretending to understand.

Generally, most people who pretend to understand do so because of financial or confidence insufficiency, fearing exposure of their true level. In contrast, those with strength and confidence tend to ask directly when uncertain, without any psychological burden; their deanor and tone alone won’t let them be underestimated.

Thus, with over fifty million in his bank account, Li Jing had no sha or inhibitions asking about dishes he couldn’t understand.

"It’s not my fault for not understanding; it’s your problem for not making it clear enough for ."

This demonstrates the different mindsets stemming from varying levels of confidence.

The waiter, under Li Jing’s calm tone, respectfully explained each item without any impatience.

Across the table, An Tong was sowhat entranced, observing Li Jing’s composed deanor, especially noticing his ability to comprehend most of the English nu, making her secretly amazed.

In An Tong’s heart, Li Jing’s image had undoubtedly been elevated again.

People are like this; once they acknowledge the other, the other’s virtues beco magnified.

After ordering, Li Jing noticed An Tong kept looking at him, prompting a natural smile: "What, suddenly find very good-looking?"

At his words, An Tong’s eyes laughed, then sincerely remarked: "I realize you’re truly excellent; I didn’t expect to have such an outstanding man by my side all along."

Li Jing’s eyebrows slightly raised: "What, regret not pursuing before?"

"Yeah, there’s indeed so regret."

An Tong candidly admitted without denial.

Though she might feel a bit restrained when faced with luxury cars and high-end luxury goods, her nature was not introverted; she was instead sociable, with quite a few friends.

Even her initial eting with Li Jing was initiated by her when she began a conversation in an elevator.

"No problem, you pursuing now is not too late."

Li Jing smiled; seeing the waiter serve the bread, he reached out for a piece, finding it indeed more refined than ordinary street-side bakeries.

"I don’t believe it; I rember you said you wouldn’t get into relationships again."

An Tong snorted softly, then imitated Li Jing’s gesture, picking up a slice of bread.

Taking a bite, An Tong’s eyes revealed slight surprise. Just as she was about to praise it, she saw the waiter bring a seafood dish.

"This is a seafood tower, accompanied by our special house sauce to enhance its flavor."

Subsequently, sesa leaf mushroom truffle salad, mustard tuna tartare, country at pie, charcoal-grilled octopus...

Plate after plate of exquisitely presented French dishes was brought by the waiter, with each plate containing only a small portion, easily consud by both with a few bites.

Looking at the table full of exquisite food, An Tong was amazed but also sowhat uneasy: "This al isn’t cheap, though I said I’d treat you to celebrate your return, it ended up costing you instead."

"It’s okay, having you dressed so beautifully accompanying is already the best celebration for my return."

Li Jing wasn’t exaggerating in his words. No matter how exquisite and beautiful these dishes were, they couldn’t overshadow An Tong’s radiance today.

Even passersby occasionally glimpsing at them couldn’t help but steal glances at An Tong.

It must be said that An Tong’s looks and deanor were impeccable, and apart from her slightly lesser financial power, she even surpassed many female celebrities in comparison.

Even though Li Jing had known An Tong for years, her ticulously planned outfit today stirred his heart slightly.

"Let’s raise our glasses to our reunion."

Under the brilliant nightscape by the window, Li Jing lifted his glass, smiling slightly.

Looking at his face, An Tong’s eyes glimred. Slowly raising her glass in her delicate right hand, she displayed a radiant and beautiful smile, saying, "I hope we can always remain friends."

"Of course."

Clink.

The glasses lightly touched, the liquor swaying.

An Tong tilted her head slightly, the champagne flowing past her red lips.

As she gazed through her glass at Li Jing’s face, her heart, already stirred by ripples, surged further amidst the restaurant’s romantic ambiance.
