"What nonsense are you talking about, kid?"

Wei Jia’s cheeks turned slightly red but quickly regained composure, then she sternly said, "Keep it up and I won’t buy you books."

"A gentleman’s word is his bond, you can’t break your promise!" Wei Zheming imdiately beca anxious.

"I’m a woman, not a gentleman. That doesn’t work on ."

After speaking, Wei Jia stopped paying attention to him and turned back to Li Jing, saying, "I haven’t shown you around the courtyard yet. Would you like to take a walk?"

Seeing her stand up, Li Jing also wanted to see the courtyard, so he agreed, "Sure, let’s admire President Wei’s large courtyard."

Upon hearing this, Wei Jia smiled slightly and said, "My little place isn’t worth much; when you buy a mansion, that’s when I should visit and admire it."

Then, Wei Jia walked forward and opened the small wooden door to the backyard, introducing as she walked, "This is the garden I’ve had soone help maintain. It doesn’t have many high-end or exotic plants, but it has a rich variety, fresh air, and is great for a stress-relieving walk."

Li Jing followed her gaze, observing the garden which was indeed spacious, without particularly rare plant species, yet the design and environnt were ticulous, making it especially pleasant to walk through.

Walking in the garden, Li Jing admired the scenery while occasionally catching the faint scent of Wei Jia’s subtle perfu from beside him, which added to the pleasurable experience.

Li Jing occasionally glanced at Wei Jia, noting that despite being thirty, her skin was exceptionally well-maintained—white as snow and as smooth as fine jade—which made one want to reach out and touch it.

Although Wei Jia usually dressed formally, today her light chiffon blouse subtly outlined her impressive figure.

The only pity was the wide-legged pants she wore this ti, which obscured her legs from view.

In Li Jing’s previous impressions, Wei Jia’s body proportions were excellent, her legs long and straight, but he never had the chance to appreciate them; he wondered if there might be an opportunity in the future...

"What is it, seems like President Li is very interested in my figure?"

Suddenly noticing Li Jing’s gaze lingering on her, Wei Jia, unreservedly, turned her head and remarked, "President Li, Buddha said, ’Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.’ Your mind seems quite unsettled."

"Everyone appreciates beauty. I love watching beautiful won; suppressing one’s desires intentionally can be unhealthy for both mind and body."

By now, Li Jing had developed quite a thick skin and wasn’t embarrassed when called out, admitting openly, "Besides, with a beauty like President Wei beside , if soone can completely resist looking, that person is either an eunuch or gay."

Wei Jia wasn’t offended by his cheeky response; instead, she found it quite amusing, dissolving any discomfort she felt, and she then asked Li Jing, "You must have seen countless beauties, so in your opinion, how would you rate soone like ?"

"Nine out of ten."

Li Jing replied straightforwardly with his score.

"Nine out of ten?" Wei Jia’s eyes briefly showed a hint of surprise, then she teasingly asked, "Surely that’s not out of a hundred?"

"Of course not. With President Wei’s looks and figure, you’re at the top-tier beauty level."

Li Jing explained generously, "The one point deducted is for your attire; it’s too formal and serious, not highlighting your strengths, like the proportion of your legs surpasses that of ordinary won. Wearing high-waist skirts or fitted pants would accentuate the advantage of leg length."

Li Jing had picked up so tips on won’s fashion from An Tong and Zhang Xinxin and unexpectedly applied them to Wei Jia.

Hearing this, Wei Jia raised her eyebrows slightly; it was the first ti a man had unabashedly evaluated her figure in front of her and even offered fashion advice.

Oddly, she didn’t feel offended, nor did she find him greasy; she thought he was genuinely offering feasible advice from an aesthetic perspective.

Highlight my leg advantages?

Wei Jia considered his suggestion, indeed realizing her legs were much longer than those of other won.

However, being almost all-year busy with work, unlike those girls who spent hours on their looks every day, she invested very little ti and effort in dressing up.

Even though Wei Jia didn’t spend much effort on her appearance, no woman would refuse complints, especially well-substantiated ones like Li Jing’s serious analysis.

Therefore, although her face remained unchanged, Wei Jia was secretly satisfied upon hearing her score from Li Jing.

Of course, if Wei Jia knew that Li Jing rated both An Tong and Zhang Xinxin as nine out of ten, she probably wouldn’t feel any joy.

After hearing his analysis, Wei Jia simply chuckled lightly, "I’ve never worn those clothes. For , suits are enough for most occasions. At ho, I dress however I’m comfortable."

She then had a thought and winked at Li Jing, saying, "I rember you said if we beca closer friends, you’d help like you did Huang Jun?"

Li Jing didn’t know why she suddenly brought this up but answered nonetheless, "That’s right, Huang Jun and I know and trust each other; we’re childhood friends. If President Wei, we beco such friends, naturally I wouldn’t hesitate in offering my help when you face difficulties."

Watching Li Jing’s serious expression, Wei Jia’s lips curved slightly upward, "I’m looking forward to us becoming such friends."

She glanced down at her clothes and continued, "If we truly beco mutually trusting and helpful friends, then I’d be willing to try the clothing suggested by a friend and wear it for my friend’s enjoynt. How about that?"

With that, Wei Jia didn’t wait for his response, chuckled softly, then winked and continued to walk ahead.

Li Jing was montarily stunned, seeing her purposely seductive and charming look, he thought to himself:

Alright, alright, is this how we’re playing?

President Wei, you might be playing with fire.

...

When the two returned from their walk in the garden, Wei Zheming, sitting under the parasol, imdiately put down his book and picked up his phone, calling out to Wei Jia: "Sis, it’s five o’clock, what are you ordering to eat?"

Seeing this, Li Jing was slightly surprised: "You planning to order takeout?"

"I’ve specially invited you; how could we eat takeout?"

Wei Jia shook her head and explained, "However, neither my brother nor I know how to cook, and I don’t want to eat out on my birthday, so each year I invite a few familiar chefs to cook at ho.

Since you’re here today, I’ll contact a chef specializing in Hunan cuisine to co over; though he’s from Lishui City, he studied at your place, so you can taste his cooking today."

"A chef from Lishui cooking Hunan cuisine for ?"

Li Jing raised his eyebrows high and then shook his head, "I’d be more authentic than a local chef cooking Hunan cuisine."

"You can cook?"

Wei Jia was genuinely surprised this ti; she’d never imagined Li Jing, who spent lavishly on food, clothes, and housing, could cook.

"Of course."

In ntioning Hunan cuisine, Li Jing displayed confidence and waved his hand:

"No need to invite your chef today; just have soone send over the ingredients. Since it’s your birthday, I’ll cook you a genuine Hunan al."
