The next morning.
Li Jing woke up naturally as usual and found that Wei Jia had already left the bedside.
Although Li Jing still couldn’t take the final step with Wei Jia last night, Wei Jia was clearly more passionate and proactive than ever before, allowing Li Jing to enjoy the charm of her perfect physique.
Sitting up in bed, Li Jing habitually picked up his phone beside him to check the ti and found that Wei Jia had sent him a ssage.
"I’ve left the key for you on the table, it’s to my house. Next ti you co to Linshui, you don’t have to stay at a hotel, just sleep at my place."
Seeing Wei Jia’s ssage, Li Jing raised an eyebrow in surprise and turned to find a delicate key indeed on the bedside table.
Wei Jia actually gave her house key?
As Li Jing was surprised, he also sensed the change in Wei Jia’s attitude towards him.
Thinking of this, he curled his lips slightly and imdiately replied to her with a ssage: "Then be careful when showering at ho, I might appear at your room door anyti."
anwhile, during the early eting at the company, Wei Jia’s phone vibrated on the table. She calmly picked it up to check, and her expression changed slightly, with a hint of embarrassnt and annoyance in her eyes, feeling sowhat regretful for giving that guy her house key.
Noticing Wei Jia’s unusual expression, a subordinate stopped reporting and asked softly, "President Wei, should I continue?"
"Continue."
Upon hearing this, Wei Jia quickly returned to her serious deanor, deleted Li Jing’s ssage, and looked at everyone in the room again.
Yet, the impression of that man remained increasingly profound and unshakeable in her mind.
...
Back in Celestial Sea City.
Li Jing just arrived ho and slled the aroma of food.
As the sound of the door closing reached inside, a sound of surprise and light footsteps ca from the kitchen.
Soon after, An Tong, wearing a scarf, quickly erged from the kitchen and was surprised upon seeing Li Jing at the door, saying, "You’re already back? I thought it would take another ten minutes."
"The roads weren’t congested, so I got back a bit early."
As Li Jing just finished changing his shoes, An Tong had already co forward to help take off his coat and hung it on the coat rack beside him.
Before Li Jing could sit down, An Tong had already brought a cup of hot tea and handed it to him: "Wait a mont, I’ll serve the food right away."
Looking at the busy and considerate An Tong, Li Jing took the hot tea and leaned on the comfortable soft sofa, sighing: "Ho is still the best."
Upon hearing this, An Tong felt joyful internally, then said while heading to the kitchen: "I watched Xu Tuantuan’s videos, her public service video is quite popular, and your account’s traffic has increased a lot along with it."
With that, she brought out the freshly cooked food from the kitchen: "Eat quickly, it’s just out of the pot, now is the best ti to enjoy the flavor."
After serving the food, An Tong imdiately returned to the kitchen to get bowls and chopsticks, aiming for Li Jing not to need to take another step at ho.
Looking at the busy An Tong and the table full of food, Li Jing felt deeply that he could truly relax and feel comfortable in front of An Tong.
...
Just a few days back in Celestial Sea City, Li Jing received a ssage from the Wen Lan crew.
The filming work had reached its final phase, and the character played by Li Jing was about to have his last scene.
So, upon receiving the notification from Wen Lan, Li Jing set off early in the morning for the crew’s new location.
This ti, the last chosen location for the Wen Lan crew was Longhai Lake Park in the old district of Celestial Sea City.
Though the park was old and had few visitors, the architectural style and scenery perfectly aligned with the scenes for the final shooting phase of Wen Lan.
Thus, Wen Lan had contacted the managent office of Longhai Lake Park in advance, greeted the director there, and set up a site in a corner of the park.
Within the park’s filming area, many crew mbers were bustling about arranging the set, with staff carrying props back and forth, working energetically.
The park being a public area, in order to minimize unnecessary public opinion and impact, Wen Lan intended to complete all the shooting of this scene as quickly as possible.
However, as soon as the site was set up, the crew encountered so trouble.
"Brother Liang, what’s happening over there?"
Yang Xiaoxiu carefully protected the packaging bag in her arms and looked toward the crew boundary where the location manager hurried to go, asking curiously and confusedly.
"It seems like the enforcent team is here, not sure exactly, I’m going to check it out."
The location manager quickly explained upon seeing Yang Xiaoxiu and then rushed forward.
At this mont, about ten people had gathered in the direction he was heading toward, and among them, there were four or five enforcent officers in uniform with stern expressions, indicating an atmosphere that seed less than amicable.
Not only Yang Xiaoxiu, but Wen Lan, who was discussing the next filming plans with the crew mbers, also noticed the commotion in the distance and frowned: "What’s going on? Why are enforcent officers here? Is there a problem with the site?"
"This shouldn’t be the case. I’m acquainted with the park’s director; I already gave him a heads-up."
The deputy director, Wang Huan, closed the script in hand and turned to look at the crowd, frowning.
He then said, "I’ll go check it out," and turned to stride over quickly.
Outside the crew’s site, several crew mbers were negotiating and theorizing with the enforcent officers.
"What’s the matter?"
Wang Huan’s deep voice sounded from behind, and the location manager turned to look with a change in expression, imdiately stepping forward to explain: "Director Wang, they say we haven’t completed the procedures and want us to dismantle the site and leave imdiately."
"Dismantle it?"
Wang Huan frowned, looked at the uniford enforcent officers, and his expression changed a bit, but ultimately managed to squeeze out a friendly smile, approached, and lowered his posture to explain: "Dear leaders, there must be a misunderstanding. We just built the site, we can’t just dismantle it."
"This is a public space, you need to file and wait for approval to occupy it, don’t you know?"
One of the enforcent officers, a rotund middle-aged man, glanced coldly at Wang Huan and said sternly: "Not only must it be dismantled, but for unauthorized occupation, you also have to face administrative penalties!"
Seeing the other party’s unfriendly tone, the location manager and others all had bitter expressions and could only look towards Wang Huan, pinning their hopes on him.
Wang Huan glanced covertly at the crowd watching nearby, then took the enforcent officer inside the shooting area, turned his back to everyone, and said with a low laugh: "Leader, there is certainly a misunderstanding here. I’m friends with the director of this park’s managent office, I’ve already inford him, and he agreed."
Saying this, he took out a package of Zhonghua cigarettes from his pocket and handed it to the officer before smiling again: "We are all law-abiding citizens. The procedures will be done soon, how about we just settle this..."
"Sorry, we’ve received complaints from the citizens, so this matter really can’t be settled like this."
The enforcent officer pushed the cigarettes back, looked at Wang Huan’s stiff smile, and sneered coldly, showing an unyielding attitude: "Regardless of who you know or who you’ve inford, without filing and completing procedures, this must be dismantled!
If you disagree, we will collaborate with the police departnt to carry out a forced demolition, you better think it through!"
