Just a day after the whole Yuan Po and Sun Yuying incident, Yang Wei found himself in the courtyard under the clear morning sun, casually tending to a new garden. With a watering can in hand, he joyously sprinkled water over the freshly planted seed.

Enter Wu Fengtian, strolling into the courtyard.

"Good morning, Senior Brother!"

Yang Wei acknowledged the greeting with a casual wave, but his focus remained on the task at hand. He adjusted a strand of hair behind his ear, continuing to water the soil.

Wu Fengtian, being his curious self, asked, "Uh, what're you doing, Senior Brother?"

In response, Yang Wei simply pointed at a shovel. "Get that for ."

Wu Fengtian fetched the shovel, and Yang Wei proceeded to press the flat side against the moist soil, compacting it gently.

"And that's that," he said.

Standing against the shovel he wiped so sweat off his forehead. "Finally finished planting the Dragonfire Spirit Seed, so my spiritual fire garden should be good to go in a few days once I refine the seed. More importantly, now I've got so ti to focus on my cultivation."

Suddenly, Wu Fengtian couldn't contain his shock.

"YOU PLANTED THE DRAGONFIRE SPIRIT SEED LIKE THAT?!" he exclaid.

Yang Wei, maintaining his composure, calmly confird, "Yes? What's the matter?"

Wu Fengtian promptly snatched the shovel, realizing that insufficient air had been left for the inner parts of the soil.

It took him less than a minute to dig up the seed.

Right after, they witnessed a tiny fire pillar shooting up from the soil, extinguishing a few seconds later.

Yang Wei asked, "What the heck was that?"

Wu Fengtian explained, "You didn't leave enough space for air to reach the inner parts of the soil. The Dragonfire Spirit Seed is innately rich in fire spiritual Qi, so if not given sufficient space it'll burn itself out completely."

"I see. That's not what the manual said though."

"They're probably older manuals, explaining how to plant a Dragonfire Spirit Seed. Burning itself out doesn't an it destroys itself; it just ans that when fully planted, its lifespan greatly reduces.

After all, Dragonfire Spirit Seeds used to be pretty common, but due to folks constantly planting them wrong, resulting in spiritual fire gardens dying after a decade or so, people abused the seed until it beca scarce. It's only in recent tis that people discovered the proper way to plant it, which allows it to last for at least 300 years."

Yang Wei simply replied with a nod.

After a few minutes, Wu Fengtian successfully replanted the seed the right way. Standing up, he comnted, "Now that's perfect."

Yang Wei observed Wu Fengtian closely, "Wow, you know quite a lot about herbs, even more than I expected."

Wu Fengtian, slightly embarrassed, scratched the back of his head and modestly laughed. "Well, I did partake in the Sect's Apothecary Master exams... a I almost passed."

"Almost passed?"

"I couldn't afford so of the essential study materials for the final test to beco an Apothecary Master, so I got excluded from taking the exams."

"Why not take it again?"

"Well..." Wu Fengtian paused for a mont. "The exams are sowhat special, so the mont you fail, you're excluded from ever taking it again."

With a contemplative look, Yang Wei sighed, "Well, that's quite tragic." Grabbing the shovel and watering can, he suggested, "Co on, let's go in. I need you to help organize so of the boxes full of my exotic herbs... Then, later tonight we'll sort the other batch sent from the Mu clan."

Wu Fengtian scratched his head and hesitantly replied, "Well... that might not happen today, Senior Brother." He made sure to add "Senior Brother" as a way to show Yang Wei that he wasn't trying to disrespect him by going against his order.

Yang Wei turned, then glared at him, questioning, "And why's that?"

"I was, uh, planning to head to the Capital City today to visit my... my, uh, little sister."

Yang Wei dropped the watering can on the veranda, slinging the shovel casually across his shoulder. He retorted with ease, "Filthy liar, you and I both know you don't have a little sister. You're just dodging so work, aren't you?"

Wu Fengtian nervously chuckled, insisting, "No, really, I do have a little sister! She's the reason I'm trying to be a better man, rember? Plus, I'm always happy to help Senior Brother with any work at all!" A smile ford on his face.

Yang Wei paced on the veranda, still shouldering the shovel, deep in thought. Finally, he said, "Actually, I'd like to tag along to the Capital City. I've never been outside the Sect before, and it could be a nice change."

Wu Fengtian clapped his hands eagerly, shouting, "Great! Capital City, here we co, Senior Brother!"

...

anwhile,

The White Serpent Sect.

Two won strolled towards the sect's Main Hall—a sacred place exclusively accessible to Elders.

These particular won were indeed Elders, to be more precise, they were Missionary Elders.

The role of a Missionary Elder was quite straightforward: to enlist cultivators into their sect.

However, the White Serpent Sect used a more... special approach.

Instead of actively recruiting female cultivators, they opted to maintain a controlled mbership. While won could voluntarily join, the sect refrained from soliciting them. Thus, the primary responsibility of a Missionary Elder in this sect involved abducting n and bringing them to their sect for dual cultivation purposes.

Of the two won walking, there was Hu izhen—a tomboyish woman with short white hair, unimaginably fat breasts, rounded waist, and a full cake-sized buttocks. Her companion, Deng Rulan, has a shapely figure, well-grood long brown hair, and captivating red eyes—all of which scread... dangerous seductress.

"Sister Deng, these n enough for today, yes?" Hu izhen asked as she playfully jiggled the unconscious n on her shoulders.

Unintentionally her breasts jiggled too.

*BOING!* *BOING!* *BOING!!*

Looking at the exaggeratedly bloated chest of Hu izhen, she sighed. Then, she replied, "We still have six more trapped in the Spirit Beast Cave, rember?"

Hu izhen laughed heartily, "Bwhahaha! I didn't know we had that much male cultivators under our control!"

"Mhm~" Deng Rulan chuckled softly, then ran her tongue over the tips of her fingers, creating a stretch of sticky saliva between her tongue and fingertips. "These n are more like boy toys than n," she dryly comnted. "Of course, dual cultivating between sisters might be fun and spicy, but in the end, a man can satisfy the cravings our cultivation bases desire."

Hu izhen yawned and responded, "I can't catch half of what you're saying, but I'm guessing it all boils down to boosting our cultivation and breaking the White Serpent dallion's seal."

Deng Rulan nodded, saying, "Exactly. But for now, let's go see the Sect Master and present these 'willing' male cultivators we've brought for our sect."

Hu izhen agreed with an "Aye!" and the two won continued walking, their next destination being the Main Hall.
