To a certain extent, Underworld Halflings are the most difficult opponents to deal with in the Underworld. Their lives are always filled with cunning, and they act entirely according to their whims, making it impossible to find any patterns. Just because you follow so rules, doesn’t an you can avoid the backstabbing they might do behind your back.

When you have value for the Drow Dark Elves and do not stand in the way of certain families’ interests, you are safe; when you bring the precious ores that the dwarves love most, buying their goods and bringing them great profits, you are safe; when you are a fool or possess secrets that the Brain-sucking Demons urgently want to know, you are safe; when you have sharp claws and a strong shell, then even when walking in the nests of Horror Claw Monsters, you are safe.

But you will never know how to be safe when walking among Underworld Halflings.

So even though there was a caravan to travel with, Lynch was still worried. Nimo sat by his side, and during the years he lived in the Dwarf Cave, he had heard quite a few rumors about this race. They are not like surface Halflings, always so lively and kind-hearted; they do have an astonishing curiosity, but their curiosity is directed towards figuring out how to eliminate their opponents.

Therefore, Nimo also watched the caravan, led by a Halfling, with caution, his rapid-fire crossbow hanging by his side.

However, Deluo, who knew almost nothing about the Underworld, was having lively conversations with the rcenaries of the caravan. From these well-traveled people, you could always hear interesting stories from various places—even though most of these stories were probably exaggerated—Deluo didn’t bother discerning the truth, he just wanted to hear sothing entertaining.

Sotis, Lynch also secretly wondered where exactly Deluo ca from. When they first t, Deluo even knew the location of the "Ridge Mountains," seemingly well-versed in this area far from his "holand," almost spanning an entire continent. Therefore, he should have considerable knowledge of the Anriel Continent. However, judging from his subsequent behavior, he had virtually no concept of this "world": unaware of the dangers of the Underdark, unaware of the lifestyle of dwarves and Halflings, unaware of the distribution of countries on the continent; but he did know about mages, and he knew there were giant dragons in the sky.

Add to that the awkward Common Language he used at first, Lynch even suspected that Deluo ca from another world.

"Hey, have you heard about that recent battle on the surface world? Do you know, Moon Harbor City was captured!" A young rcenary loudly boasted to Deluo about his "broad knowledge," his proud expression as if he had personally participated in that battle.

"Did you know, Moon Harbor City was the sturdiest fortress in Northern Sacred Pate, yet it was captured by the giants in just one day, it’s unbelievable. I don’t know if the giants are too strong or if those surface humans are too weak..."

"What are the giants doing now?" Lynch suddenly interjected while sitting on the back of a lizard, startling Nimo beside him.

"Oh... that," The giants are probably still in Moon Harbor City, haven’t co out. I guess after this winter, they’ll start moving around." The young rcenary laughed heartily: "Seems like it’s going to be chaotic there, but that’s our chance to earn big money. The ssier it is, the more opportunities there will be! Brothers, how about we head to the surface after this job?"

Lynch used his Eye of Insight, seeing the situation behind him without turning his head. Watching the twisted smiles of those rcenaries, he suddenly felt an indescribable disgust. Those who wish for chaos to profit from war truly dampen his spirits. However, on the other hand, the giants were not rampaging on the surface, not attacking the villages one by one, but holed up in Moon Harbor City, which could greatly reduce the damage suffered by Northern Sacred Pate.

He just didn’t know how his companions were doing.

The Halfling leader ca over. After a few days of understanding, he was known as Riel Lizard Thorns, a person frequently trading goods between Hanmosidun Gray Dwarf City and Latitude Drow Dark Elf City. Due to the gray dwarves’ mines being attacked and out of production so ti ago, he had to gather goods from far places to sell in the Dark Elf City to maintain his business. Therefore, he didn’t know that Lynch before him was the mage who solved the mine problem.
