The celebration ended very smoothly, everything seed perfect. Pate's Temple proved its capabilities, and the faith of the Priests and Paladins beca even stronger; soldiers, invigorated, regained confidence in winning this battle and prepared themselves to endure tough trials; the people not only knew they had stronger allies now, but ever since the 'Mage Association's grain' supply arrived, their lives had greatly improved, at least giving them the thought that the 'terrible days are finally nearing an end'.
However, Lynch was not completely satisfied; he had so opinions about the 'small trick' Kuboert played during the celebration ceremony. Initially, he was just a personal advisor to the temple, but after that inexplicable coronation ceremony, there was confusion between his 'personal identity' and 'head of the Mage Association', leading to many suspicions. Lynch's teacher also sent a handwritten letter, reminding him of the 'discordant voices' within the Mage Association now.
Lynch understood what his teacher ant. Becoming the leader of the entire Mage Association was based on strong abilities rather than a wide network. Many mages had heard of his na primarily because of the famous 'joint wanted order'; they didn't really know this new leader nad Lynch. To calm the rumors within the Mage Association, Lynch left Pate City imdiately after the celebration ceremony concluded.
Since hiding his identity was no longer necessary, after leaving the city limits, Lynch and Zilvra mounted the Black Dragon and flew towards the All-Knowing Tower at the fastest speed. The enormous black shadow swept over the snow-covered Pate Plain, leaving a trail of terrified screams from every village it flew over.
Lynch pounded his Magic Wand against the Black Dragon's hard skull, reprimanding it: "Can't you just fly over the Snake-man's fortress? Scaring these weak villagers is your only skill?"
The Black Dragon had never been treated this way, becoming a re transport like a mule or horse, yet having to endure beatings? Under the constraints of the Magic Spell, he had no ability to resist Lynch, and this situation ignited a fiery anger within him, which he ultimately unleashed on the Snake-n.
Initially, when the Black Dragon spotted a few airborne Snake-man Chira scouts, it would swoop down and dissolve them into scattered bones with a mouthful of acid. But after a few tis, it found this unsatisfying and deliberately let a few Chira scouts escape.
Thus, the large group of arriving Snake-man air force beca the tools for his anger release. Though the opponents with three heads were superior in speed and agility, each ti the giant dragon flapped its wings, combined with the Spell to create a strong wind, the imnse force would instantly strike the relatively smaller Chiras, causing them to sorsault and fall from the sky. The Snake-n tried to restrict the Black Dragon's maneuverability with their formation, then attempted to utilize and play on their nurical advantage. The three-headed Chiras could spit three different types of energy, and if these air forces could fire simultaneously, the resulting barrage of fire was very daunting.
The Black Dragon allowed the Chiras to encircle him, then in a blink of an eye, his innate magic ability helped him vanish from everyone's sight.
The Snake-man army was stunned, losing their best attack opportunity. The yellow and red snake eyes kept glancing around, and their forked tongues flicked in and out, trying to quickly locate their opponent's trail.
Suddenly, the Black Dragon's massive body appeared at the side of the entire formation, roaring as it lunged at several Chiras. The other Snake-n reflexively issued attack commands, their mounts imdiately launching magic at the Black Dragon.
A net of attacks composed of dozens of lightning, fireballs, and venom enveloped the Black Dragon, then passed straight through its body, flying off into the distant air. The image of the Black Dragon rely wobbled, then like a burst bubble, vanished with a 'pop'.
"It's an illusion technique! Be careful everyone!" the leading Snake-man shouted loudly, then felt emptiness beneath him. His mount, the Chira, had already been torn in half by the Black Dragon, now revealed in its true form, leaving only a saddle still strapped to the rider's body.
