Eryies did not appear in front of others; she now needed to be alone in peace and quiet. Apart from Lynch and Zilvra, the Desire Demon would avoid any creature approaching her room. Lynch knew that such a ntal blow would take ti to gradually heal, and it certainly would heal, yet he was still unprecedentedly reprimanded by Zilvra.

"Why were you so obedient back then? Did all the wisdom in your skull suddenly turn into mush?" Zilvra said, "I don't believe you didn't know the dangers of doing that; you must have done it on purpose!"

Although Zilvra had realized sothing, it was already too late. She had to accept the current reality and let the Desire Demon stay in the tower. She had once thought about finding Soka and instilling so "irreconcilable opposition between good and evil" ideas in the little angel, to incite a fight between the angel and devil. But halfway there, she stopped. Considering herself, Zilvra couldn't be regarded as a benevolent creature either; although she desperately tried to escape the Dark Elf's life order, she lived like a perfect Drow for hundreds of years.

'Can I say I completely disdain the Drow's way of life?' Zilvra suddenly pondered this question. Then she realized she couldn't deny the fact that she still agreed with and admired the Dark Elf's world, a world of survival of the fittest, in her heart. 'Am I not a soul abandoned by past life, struggling on the brink of freedom, yet never able to break free?'

So she turned, directing her steps toward Lynch's spell lab. At this ti, the mage was watching the events happening in the tower through the Crystal Ball. He didn't want to use spells to change others' minds—that would be a simple, yet barbaric way—so he had to currently use guidance and suggestion.

Lynch had his own worries, as did Wislin. His eyes gradually recovered, now able to see clearly. But his greatest gain was seeing clearly a living being, a relationship. Although neither Anna nor Wislin elaborated, they both tacitly agreed to deal with it after the war ended, only then would they have enough ti.

For now, putting aside personal matters with the elf Anna, Wislin was looking at a letter on the table, at a loss. Although the envelope was adorned with a beautiful blossom, the silver-white lines appeared delicate and exquisite. However, from the wax-sealed exterior ca a shocking ssage. Lynch had beco a wanted fugitive by the Mage Association, accused of stealing spells not belonging to him, exceeding his authority in using magic, and disrespecting high-level mages. Any mber of the Mage Association had the right and duty to bring him back to the Mage Tower for the Great Mage Association's trial.

Although unsure what the Mage Association's trial was like, Wislin knew the tricks Lynch used to intimidate enemies. In past adventures, the mage was always the interrogator responsible for extracting information from enemies; a few spells could make those captives feel a chill to the bone. Although most of those tricks were bluff, no one could be sure if a being like the Great Mage could turn those tricks into reality.

If it was only the Mage Association's letter, it would be easier to handle, as Wislin wasn't a mage, he could ignore the letter's content. But another order from the Pate Temple made him particularly troubled. The content was similar to the Mage Association's but added a clause: imprison the Light Saintess. Wislin didn't know who the Light Saintess referred to, but he instinctively felt this title was related to Angel Soka. He often saw Soka flying freely in the sky, and if that state counted as imprisonnt, then Wislin, stationed at the Five Realms Fortress, wasn't he like wearing heavy shackles, with no personal freedom?

"Pure nonsense!" Wislin couldn't help but start to get furious: "How do these people investigate? How can they draw such conclusions so easily?" He sat at the desk, ready to draft a plea letter to his superiors. But the feather pen in his hand had just begun to write when he crumpled the blank paper into a ball and threw it into the fireplace. "Right now, Lynch's whereabouts aren't widely known; people outside only know there's a young mage here but don't know his na. If I write my plea letter, won't it confirm that Lynch is at the Five Realms Fortress?" Wislin rubbed his temples, unsure of how to handle this matter. His eyes stared at the two letters, his gaze faintly glowing, like embers in a fireplace—as if that could burn them both, the knight would naturally not oppose.
