However, now he only worries about two things. One is when the undead army will reach the Residual Star Swamp—by that ti, he must be in top condition to respond; the other is the situation of the Unicorn Bay elves fighting against the fishn. As long as the singing in the Elf Forest doesn't stop, the defense on the Erutalon River Shore will remain intact. Moreover, besides their wooden high towers, the elves have other backup asures.
Now, he can only trust that the Moonhand Guard is truly as powerful as the legends say, capable of defending against the fishn's assault with less than a hundred n.
Unlike the worries of the mage, Caidi and his companions are filled with confidence, watching the fishn wander like headless flies on Salantir's land.
These sea creatures cannot stay away from water for long; otherwise, their bodies will beco very weak, losing their combat abilities. The way to solve this problem is to find the rivers without Holy Power, thus the fishn's advance route is along the rivers. Salantir is a forest kingdom crisscrossed with water networks, and Erutalon is the only river capable of annihilating evil creatures, flowing past Heather Holy Mountain, forming a vast lake there. Elsewhere in the Elf Kingdom, countless other rivers flow, most nad after flowers and fruits, commorating the sustenance they provide to Salantir's land. However, none of them are infused with Holy Power.
It's challenging for an outsider to rember the complex river network. In the dense jungle, tall treetops completely block the sunlight, and the mist over the rivers makes it difficult to find direction. Even the elves need a long ti to beco familiar with their holand, and humans might not be able to find their way out of this maze in a lifeti.
However, Caidi believes that those fishn must have mastered the map of this land; otherwise, they wouldn't dare set foot on the land of the Elf Kingdom. The greedy fishn of the sea have always coveted the fertile lands of Salantir, especially for its delicious berries, the best they've ever tasted. The ever-ambitious fishn want to turn this water-rich land into their own garden and from here, launch attacks on the entire Anriel Continent. The fishn see themselves as the world's masters, the owners of everything.
At least, that's what they think under their scaly skulls.
Caidi didn't rush to Unicorn Bay first; he knows clearly that with his fifty-plus warriors, it's impossible to annihilate those attacking fishn. His only task now is to delay. He aims to divide the swarming enemies and then use his familiarity with the terrain to slowly eliminate them.
Thus, he sketches a completely new map of the Salantir rivers in his mind. If the fishn truly have the Elf Kingdom's map, they will be confused by the newly erged water network; without a map, they will find it impossible to easily leave this maze.
Caidi gathers his companions and announces this plan. Then, in teams of five, the Moonhand Guard mbers scatter imdiately.
They are only warriors; they don't have spells like Lynch, so they can't forcefully create new river paths with magic—and doing so would only expose Caidi's intentions. The elves of the Moonhand Guard have all undergone the strictest training, selected by the Great Druid Nosta; they all possess certain natural spell abilities—either Druid or Ranger spells.
By simply placing a hand gently on the trunk of a large tree by the river, concentrating and carefully sensing the surrounding natural aura, Caidi and his team can communicate with these plants. Druids believe that all creatures in this world possess wisdom; they all have their own souls. However, that will is only open to other wills that understand and care for them; those without "Nature Enlightennt" cannot converse with these beings.
Caidi slowly recounts the events happening in the Elf Kingdom, using words the plants can understand as best as he can. He compares the fishn's invasion to a surging flood, and Salantir at this mont to tender grass by the shore, trembling as it faces its doom.
"We need your help, friends," Caidi says slowly: "Please, use your sturdy roots to help us grip the land beneath our feet, giving the elves a chance to roam this paradise once more, still being your best neighbors. Help us..."
