It wasn't just Lynch who was contemplating the aning of the soul. Beside him, there was soone who had spent the first half of her life unable to find the answer to this question. If she didn't encounter any accidents and surpassed the eternal life of the elves, then this question would accompany her to the end of ti.

Since her birth, she had always lived in her own shadow. The identity of the Princess and the second pair of prophetic eyes in the Elf Clan made her life not her own. In the first few centuries of her life, she stayed by her mother's side, learning the use of Magic, and how to find a path forward through the layers of fate's fog.

Moreover, her natural beauty caused her much distress. While many may consider beauty to be a woman's greatest asset, for her, it beca her greatest burden. Especially among the elves, countless poems and music were composed to praise her, with all the beautiful words dedicated to her "face".

Later, Yilinrui often gazed into Heather's lake, silently staring at her reflection. She could not determine whether the shadow cast in the lake was truly her own; what would her soul be like beneath that perfect shell?

Other than praise, love naturally followed as well. When she was set to be the next Prophetic ssenger, ready to take over her mother's duties, a male elf entered her life. He was a bard, who sang to her every evening with his seven-stringed lyre beneath the moonlight. Yilinrui watched this man, but her eyes always revealed the canvases of the future. And from any angle, the elven man before her seed bound for a dark fate. She could not stop these visions; she was powerless.

She gradually tired of this life, a life evidently devoid of joy. Yilinrui never expressed emotions before others but would sigh after the elven man played his music.

"Who am I indeed? What is the nature of this soul?"

The elven man interpreted these lants as resignation and bitterness, angry at the chains that bound Yilinrui's freedom. He left quietly, for he too had no answer to the questions of his beloved.

However, after ten years, the elven man picked up his seven-stringed lyre again and appeared before Yilinrui. Although his songs were no longer as graceful and lodious as before, to Yilinrui, it sounded more beautiful than any heavenly tune.

Yet, the ominous vision of the future still did not vanish.

At that mont, he cast a Spell, a Necromancer Spell he learned from a Human Mage. Hundreds of ball-shaped blue flas floated before Yilinrui, filling the space between them.

With a slightly hoarse voice, he said, "I'm sorry, even being able to directly control these souls, I still don't understand what differences lie between them."

After speaking, he turned and left, never appearing before Yilinrui again.

In the Elf Princess's eyes, terrifying visions erged unknowingly, and her longing for the man had enhanced her prophetic abilities beyond her mother's level—even though this was the situation she tried hard to avoid. She foresaw the disaster that would befall the Elf Clan, a dreadful invasion that would destroy Heather, destroying this piece of the Holy Land where the elves resided in the era.

And the starting point of this catastrophe was precisely the elf man in front of her who had turned into a Necromancer. Yilinrui was at a loss. In a trance, she inford her mother of so of the situations.

"That elf will bring about a disastrous calamity," Yilinrui chanically said, her eyes void of any liveliness: "Sothing must be done..."

However, no elves would allow an elf who had learned Human Magic to continue living in Salantir, especially one focused on Necromancy Spells. That elven man was permanently banished from the Elf Kingdom. It is said that he might have suffered a harsher punishnt than this. But since no evidence supported this claim, none of Salantir's residents ever saw him again.

A few days later, Yilinrui awoke from her confusion and finally realized what she had done. No matter how others inquired, she refused to ntion the future she saw in her prophecy. She was filled with deep remorse, believing she had pushed the elf down an irreversible path. She began to loathe her innate abilities, began to hate her identity, began to hate her own "leather bag".
