Nimo and Felps ran over to help, while Lynch stayed in the hall, watching his companions. The mage smiled and nodded, very happy to see Wislin and Morgan safe. For him, whether Moon Harbor City had fallen or not was actually irrelevant; he was only worried about the conditions of these friends and whether they could leave that place safely.

On Wislin’s armor, there was a symbol of a giant’s head, and on the heart part of his chest plate, there was the insignia of Moon Harbor City. It seed that Wislin was a participant in the battle to recapture Moon Harbor City. He had now officially beco a Paladin of Pate, fulfilling his past wish.

"How is Moon Harbor City now? Have all those giants been cleared out?" Lynch found a comfortable place to sit: "Those were almost all the giants of the Northern Mountains; how did you manage to win?"

Morgan’s beard twitched violently, and a hum and a laugh drifted out from underneath it: "Cleared out? The giants are still living in Moon Harbor City; they haven’t left."

Lynch leaned forward: "What’s going on? Isn’t Moon Harbor City under your control?"

Wislin sighed, touching his forehead, and said: "At that ti, we had already gathered the army, ready to recapture it. Before dying, several attacks were ineffective. Although many giants were killed, we couldn’t enter the city. This ti, it was basically Pate’s strongest force—the priests of the temple had felt the crisis, with the constantly erging Beastman raids seriously endangering the safety of the entire nation. Just as we were ready and about to set off, the giants suddenly requested to negotiate with us."

Lynch frowned, carefully listening to Wislin’s description.

"The giants said they could surrender, but there were a few conditions. The main one was giving them the freedom to reside in the Holy Pate."

"That’s really strange," Lynch said. "They’ve lived for generations on those lofty mountains; why would they want to co to reside in Pate? Did sothing happen to the Ridge Mountains up north?"

"You’re right, sothing big did happen in the Ridge Mountains. The Beastn, who used to live with the giants, suddenly beca aggressive. Very cleverly, using their knowledge of the giants’ dwelling areas, they forced the giants to migrate south through raids. Originally seeking support from Holy Pate, the giants were repeatedly attacked by cavalry from Pate on their way south, and this situation led them to capture Moon Harbor City."

"So, Pate attacked before the giants even arrived," Lynch said, "which is unlikely, isn’t it?"

"Indeed, it’s impossible," Wislin replied. "To this day, we don’t know where those knights ca from. However, they certainly weren’t soldiers of Holy Pate. The giants were deceived, and thus we got drawn into this war."

Lynch fell into contemplation. During the battle, he was on-site and was very familiar with Moon Harbor City’s defenses. Truth be told, apart from an overwhelming force like the giants, Moon Harbor City should have been able to withstand attacks from any other northern races. So it seems, letting the giants and Holy Pate mutually exhaust each other and open the passage of Moon Harbor City made the Beastn the biggest beneficiaries. They not only seized the giants’ land but also rooted themselves on Pate’s territory. But the Beastn couldn’t have concocted such a smart plan. If their brains were that good, they would have dominated the entire Anriel World by now.

"What asures do you have now?" Lynch asked.

"Seeking allies everywhere," Wislin laughed. "Don’t worry, Holy Pate has long been stopping the advance of Beastn into other nations in the north, and we have many friends. Currently, the nearest dwarves have agreed to attack the Beastn from the eastern Gunn Mountains, and southern lords will support us by sea routes from the inner sea. The alliance with Haisas has a long history, so there won’t be any issues there. Those Beastn should be cleaned up by next year."

Morgan said, "Exactly, exactly! Those disgusting Beastn aren’t getting away this ti! With the recapture of Moon Harbor City, their retreat is cut off. Now, I can thoroughly enjoy myself, making those Beastn cry and soil themselves."
