"You are imprisoning them; without freedom, they cannot possibly be happy."

"Does the sky have any borders? Does Eden have any walls? Isn’t that a large prison as well?"

"......"

"Would you be willing to serve ?"

"Absolutely not!"

He gently brought his mouth close to the Angel’s neck, lightly licking the tender skin there with his slender tongue, and slowly pierced it with his sharp fangs.

The teeth pressed into the skin, creating a small indentation, making the blood vessels clearly visible.

The teeth moved downward bit by bit, full of patience, just like their owner.

At last, they pierced through. Soylard extended his arms, tightly embracing the Angel, pressing their bodies together without any gap. He took a deep breath and began greedily sipping from the Angel’s neck.

The Angel slowly closed her eyes, tears of pain streaming down.

"Ah~~~~" Suddenly, Soylard scread, clutching his mouth as he fled.

The Angel watched in confusion as the powerful Vampire Prince scrambled away.

On the second day, two vampire won quietly opened the door and approached the Angel, beginning to untie the shackles binding her.

"Soylard’s strength was severely diminished from drinking your blood; if not for his innate power, he would have turned to ashes on the spot. You know, we won are also ill-fated..."

"Please, quickly kill him, so we can gain our freedom in return."

The Angel silently regarded the vampires in front of her. Once they had undone the last shackle, she flew into the courtyard, looking at the vampires scattered about: "If I kill Soylard, wouldn’t that make all of you free? Wouldn’t the world then have a hundred more roaming demons? No!"

She leaped into the sky, her eyes filled with urgency.

At night, under a full moon, a small village was ablaze. A figure wielding a longsword road between the burning houses, straining to hear for cries for help. When he located soone, he would rush over and cut them down with his sword.

The Angel landed in front of him: "Why are you doing this? They are innocent!"

"No one is innocent," he said, pointing his sword at the Angel. "They will attack , and I cannot allow such threats to exist."

"Why~ Why must you do this!" The Angel looked at the longsword still dripping with blood in his hand. At his feet laid the broken body of a girl.

In the next instant, two powerful beings clashed with their respective weapons, and the ground was strewn with pure white feathers, stained with blood.

The moon vanished behind the clouds, and the frenzied man was now headless. The Angel lay weakly by a large stone, sobbing gently. A dark figure landed softly beside the Angel—it was him, Soylard.

"What happened, my dear? Who bullied you?" the vampire leisurely asked the beauty before him.

"You!" The Angel stood up abruptly. "Why did you turn him into a vampire! Why, why!" The Angel shouted, pointing at the man she had beheaded.

"Because you love him," the vampire lightly brushed off a trace of burning ash from his shoulder, "and I want you."

The Angel looked at the Vampire Prince in front of her, using her remaining strength to summon a flaming longsword, striking at the demon before her.

Soylard effortlessly caught the oncoming longsword between two fingers—the Angel had beco terribly weakened after her long captivity and recent battle.

"By the way, I never told you, the one you loved and killed was not a vampire. He was just a human, the Hunter—the Blood Clan Hunter."

The Angel lifted her head, looking at the vampire with tear-filled, blood-red eyes.

"No! That’s not possible! He wouldn’t... he wouldn’t!" The Angel stepped back, her wings trembling violently, feathers falling one by one.

"Go ahead and look. Only Blood Clan mbers above the rank of Duke could hold this Celestial Soul Receiving Bottle. He was rely hypnotized by into believing he was a vampire."

"Then, he thought everyone around him was a Blood Clan Hunter, all wanting to kill him. His capacity for understanding is remarkable; even without being a Blood Clan mber, he quickly seduced souls into corruption. Over the past six months, he truly brought so delightful snacks."

"In human hearts, there always exists a fundantal evil desire, rely obstructed by a thin layer of identity. Just lightly peel away this cover, and they will reveal their true nature to you. All I did was give him true freedom..."

The Angel discarded the longsword in her hand, pouncing forward to bite Soylard’s neck with her own teeth: she wanted to punish her enemy with the enemy’s thod, the one she considered most wicked.

Slowly, the feathers on the Angel’s back turned black, hanging limp. The hands that had been fiercely tearing at the vampire’s clothes gradually relaxed, holding tightly to the vampire’s body. The Angel pressed against Soylard, as though wanting to rge with the deepest darkness.

"Mmm... mmm..." The Angel greedily sucked the blood from Soylard’s veins, unwilling to waste a single drop.

He gently stroked her silver locks, covering her injured body with his cloak—though the wounds were healing rapidly. He lifted her chin, wiping away the bloodstain at her mouth with his fingers, gazing into those craving, azure blue eyes.

"Actually, what you need to let go of is just an identity, my most adorable concubine..."

Blood Clan Law: When a high-ranking Blood Clan wishes to create a new Blood Clan mber, they must first absorb the blood of the prospective novice and then grant them pure blood from the Blood Clan to complete the process. Special note: the act of blood-sucking during the initial embrace must be mutually consensual; forced blood infusion is impossible.
