"Lynch, we elves have many friends from other races, and you are a rather special one." The Empress said, "Almost a year ago, you entrusted Anna to bring back Salantir’s defense strategy map. At the ti, we didn’t pay much attention to it and rely regarded it as a gift from a friend. But not long ago, this docunt helped us fend off a mighty enemy, keeping Heather’s sky from being tainted by evil."

Anna bowed her head, sowhat regretfully saying, "I didn’t expect this plan from a friend to be so helpful at the beginning. If I had brought it up sooner, not so many of my fellow compatriots would have sacrificed their lives."

"No, child, it’s not your fault," the Empress said, "At the ti, we were too complacent and forgot the virtue of humility, which was a price we had to pay. If bla must be borne by anyone, then as Empress, I am responsible."

"What kind of enemy could cause such a commotion?" Lynch asked, "I would think, with the elves’ strength, there wouldn’t be any insurmountable barriers. Among the warriors I’ve seen, elves are the most elite, especially in familiar environnts, with no other racial creature able to gain an advantage."

’Except for the Dark Elves,’ Zilvra silently thought. ’Though the Drow should also be considered a type of elf, when it cos to well-trained, Dark Elves are the most outstanding.’

"Even those Dark Elves who sold their souls to the darkness for imnse power find it hard to resist such attacks. My friends." As if hearing Zilvra’s inner voice, Empress Hernfurry spoke, "We elves now must learn humility, recognize our strengths, and always be aware of our remaining shortcomings—this is a warning our compatriots exchanged their lives for. What Mage Lynch said should be taken as a complint, not simply as fact."

Zilvra furrowed her brow and stood back behind Lynch. The mage was like a barrier, shielding the female Drow from the Elf Queen. Only this way could Zilvra feel at ease.

"Mr. Mage, in the vast sea of books in your association, is there any record of the Undead army?" the Elf Queen said, "If we can’t eliminate this threat at its root, I fear that all living creatures on the continent will live under the shadow of death."

Lynch bowed his head in thought for a while, recalling all the docunts he had read during his studies. All the elves watched the mage, reluctant to disturb his contemplation.

The young mage raised his head, his eyes also filled with confusion: "Sorry, Your Majesty, I couldn’t recall any related records. If you could describe the scene in more detail, perhaps enough clues will surface."

The Empress did not show disappointnt or any other expression, rely sighed softly: "Every ti I think of the elves’ sacrifices, my heart feels pierced by a sharp blade. When the images of their cold bodies surface in my mind, and I think of the monts when only their souls drift, I can only close my eyes and let tears slide down my cheeks. But to avoid greater pain and harm, I will recount the scene once more—even if heartbreak is inevitable again."

The elves behind the Empress softly humd an elegy, the only song of the elves without lyrics. Under the mournful lody, no elf could endure the poignant words; their hearts trembled, so how could they control their throats to sing lyrics?

Soka, too, followed Zilvra and hid behind Lynch. Celestial creatures easily grasp the sorrow within this music, and she too was now imrsed in lancholy with the music.

Only Lynch and Zilvra stood unmoved in the center of the hall. One unaffected by the elves’ music, the other focused on rational thought, paying attention to the story the Empress was about to tell.
