Traveling through the woods is a novel experience, especially for Zilvra and Soka. The green leaves are within arm’s reach, and the white blossoms above emit a faint fragrance.

All the building materials here co from nature, especially trees. Whether it’s the platforms built on large trees, the staircases winding around tree trunks, or the materials used to make ropes, they are all provided by the plants here. Only the weapons used by the elves co from the lakebed outside Heather, forged from ores soaked in holy water for years.

"Mage friends, our esteed Empress will only et with you tomorrow. Please rest here today and wash away the dust of travel." The elf accompanying Lynch said, "In the evening, please enjoy the als of our elves. If you have any special requests, just follow this path at the door, and you’ll reach our gathering place. Every elf living here will be honored to offer assistance."

"Thank you." The mage said, "I really can’t think of any other requests."

Soka reached out from behind Zilvra’s shoulder, tugging at the hood on Lynch’s robe, blushing and a bit embarrassed, "Brother Lynch, could you ask for so fruit for ?"

The mage smiled at the elf: "Friend, could you bring so of our little one’s favorite fruits?"

"Of course, that’s no problem." The elves retreated from the room prepared for the mages: "We’ll have everything ready soon."

The door curtain was drawn, leaving only the three mages in this treehouse. Except for the Holy Temple and so very important places, the elves’ houses do not have doors. A blue or green curtain decorated with white threads is the only barrier here between inside and outside.

The little angel was no longer dizzy, jumped down from Zilvra’s back, and happily road around the room. The windows here avoided the dense leaves, allowing the beautiful lake view and the crimson colors of the sunset to drift in with a refreshing breeze. The decorations inside were very simple. Three hammocks hung on one side of the room, and soft cushions lay on white fur blankets, placed casually yet not disorderly. An incense burner emitted a wisp of blue smoke, filling the room with various floral and herbal scents.

Zilvra carefully examined the entire room, not overlooking any corner. The mage silently watched her actions. The female Drow also sensed Lynch’s gaze and seed a bit embarrassed. She asked, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing important." The mage said, "Just so aningless speculations."

"Speculations?" Zilvra said, "Even if it’s a speculation, once you’ve thought about it, it’s likely very close to the truth."

"Although that’s a complint, I hope this guess isn’t very close to the reality." Lynch said, "Speaking of this room, it’s ant for receiving distinguished guests. Generally speaking, only when other elf tribes or very important guests arrive, will this room be used. We just happened to co here by chance, without informing the Empress in advance. Yet, we were still placed in this room..."

"What does this an?" Zilvra asked.

"According to my theory, there are only two possibilities. First, it’s related to my identity as a mage; the Elf Queen might want to communicate with the Mage Association. Second, it’s related to the recent battle that happened here." Lynch whispered, "I can’t quite believe that the noble Elf Queen suddenly wants to deal with the proud mages, which doesn’t match with the elves’ usual independent style. So it’s very likely about that recent battle."

"What’s there to fear about battle?" Zilvra licked her lips, "I can take care of Soka; surely, with your strength, you wouldn’t fear battle?"

"Actually, I always wish to avoid battles." The mage placed the powerful wand aside, sitting on the hanging chair by the incense burner: "Magic is not ant for killing."

"But in terms of creating death, no one is more powerful than mages," Zilvra said, "Even the Dark Elves, when they went underground, faced battle, and that shaped their race. When battle is unavoidable, wouldn’t you use your spells?"
