Goblins, a relatively weak group, their only notable trait being their numbers, and the only thing they can rely on is also their numbers, but it’s the number of allies around them. They follow behind the Beastn, wielding crude weapons, shouting loudly. In their hearts, finding ’enemies easy to deal with’ and ’safely scavenging treasures’ are their highest pursuits. In the team, they are never the main combat force, but they are excellent at cheering.
Naturally, Lynch, who was in Invisibility, didn’t want to be trampled into a at patty by the Beastn and goblins, so he quickly got out of the way and hid to the side. Although the residence of the second family seed silent, the seemingly calm courtyard was full of traps. Lynch’s Arcane Vision clearly indicated the positions of nurous Magic Runes, and using the Eye of Insight’s X-ray vision, he also saw many spike pits and crossbow chanisms.
When the first trap was triggered, the entire second family suddenly sprang into action. A large number of Dark Elves appeared in the courtyard, all fully ard and in a state of alert. Initially, Lynch thought the second family was already prepared for battle, setting up a trap pocket for them to walk into. But then he recalled the Dark Elves’ habit of living ’perpetually prepared,’ and he felt reassured.
Brilliant flas and explosive roars erupted one after another— the yard of the second family beca a stage for trap performances. The astonished screams of the Beastn replaced their original battle cries, even drowning out the noise of the Fireball explosions. They could understand the spike pit traps underfoot, as they would sotis use such ans to deal with ’troubleso’ enemies. But the suddenly igniting and electrifying ground left them utterly confused. This ignorance filled them with fear. Suddenly, strong wine, treasures, and beautiful won beca illusions, turning dangerous and unreal.
So Beastn turned and wanted to flee, believing even facing a Dark Elf’s punishnt was better than being burned to death without knowing why. They figured there would surely be many fleeing, and they would be the unfortunate ones, seeing themselves as the lucky ones, thinking the punishnt would never land on them.
This behavior of the Beastn had long been anticipated by the Dark Elves; the second wave sent forth was the family’s soul-bound corpses squad. The last battle had resulted in heavy personnel losses but also provided ample material for making these soul-bound corpses. Unlike Beastn, these Undead lacked a sense of fear as they moved slowly, blocking the gap in the fence.
Like all other Undead, the soul-bound corpses exuded a terrifying aura that made living beings recoil in disgust. The Beastn and goblins were at a loss, caught between heaps of traps and terrifying walking corpses.
"Charge! Take down the Dark Elves in front, drink their blood, let them feel the power of the Beastn!" A genuine and pure Beastman language erupted suddenly, instantly rousing the indecisive cannon fodder’s spirits. Since their retreat was already blocked by the dead, besides advancing, there was indeed no alternative.
Thus, as Matron Batana planned, the goblins and Beastn began using their own flesh and blood to clear the traps on the path again. They were blasted into flaming fragnts by Fireballs, burned into stinking charred bodies by lightning, turned into pancakes, or skewered like beehives by spike pits. Regardless, the Dark Elf forces behind no longer had to face these obstacles. Especially the goblins, though nurous, were quite timid. Upon seeing the myriad traps, they finally couldn’t bear it and began to scatter and flee. However, the more scattered they ran, the more traps they ’disard.’ Originally, multiple Beastn would have been blown up by the sa Fireball trap, but now, the trap’s destructive power was distributed, with one goblin taking out one Fireball trap.
"A truly cheap deal." Matron Batana lightly tossed aside a sheepskin scroll, the Illusion Sound Technique she had just used, "Ignorant creatures are easily incited."
