"What exactly is the situation now? Why does Little Finger have to use such a secretive way to contact us?" Lynch threw the magic wand aside and asked urgently.
"Felps is fine for now, still lively and energetic. Let explain slowly," Deluo said, seeing the Mage was quite agitated, calming him down first.
...
One night passed, and the fire at the Fifth Family’s headquarters had long been extinguished, and the entire city returned to normal. Although pedestrians on the street were still very scarce, Ratris City finally regained so vitality.
Lynch and his two companions sat quietly in the room, pondering their strategy.
While Felps was exploring alone in Moon Harbor City, he unexpectedly witnessed the Great Mage Kuziman eting with a few strange figures. Those people were wrapped tightly in large robes, with a pair of blood-red eyes glowing under the shadow of their hoods. Little Finger overheard so of the Great Mage’s plans with those figures. Moon Harbor City was just a beginning, rely an experint, and Kuziman’s role in this plan was not limited to just Moon Harbor City. The halfling, after knowing this, intended to sneak away quietly and warn his companions, but unfortunately, he was discovered by those people. Sohow, they used a thod to abandon Little Stone in a dark castle in the Underdark.
According to his description, the castle had no other people, no food, or water. In the maze-like underground rooms, there were only corpses. Relying on so divine arts he had learned, he barely managed to create water to drink and, with the halfling’s tenacious survival ability, he finally escaped.
When he saw the Dark World outside the castle, it was already two months after he left Moon Port. The Underdark was not suitable for a halfling’s survival, but luckily, while wandering blindly through the underground passages, he encountered a convoy of Underworld Halflings.
Following the convoy, Little Finger ca to Ratris City, where he beca a mber of the Underground Union. He had been gathering maps to leave the Underdark and preparing all possible tools needed, hoping to return to the surface. But just recently, Little Finger saw the sa group in the Underground Union, with large cloaks and blood-red eyes, speaking with a slightly airy tone. The halfling directly told him that these guys were about to stir up a conspiracy again. Although he was not a mber of Ratris City, he did not want to let go of those who had caused him misery in the Underdark easily.
Then he received a ssage that a Mage had entered Dark Elf City, and to his surprise, this Mage was soone he knew, Lynch.
He intended to quickly reunite with Lynch and return to his friends, but the mysterious figures and the Underground Union held a strong hostile attitude towards the Mage’s arrival. This puzzled Felps greatly; he held back his desire to et, trying his best to gather information about the union and the Mage.
The mysterious group had now taken control of the union, and their words were no different from the union’s orders. A big action was going to happen soon. The halfling didn’t know what it was, but from the recent tense atmosphere in the city, Felps believed this action would be massive.
In the high-level discussions of the union, Mage Lynch’s na appeared multiple tis, always accompanied by other words: clear out, kill, make him disappear.
"So, Little Finger has been staying in the union and hasn’t left," Deluo finally said, "Because that unknown plan is about to unfold, he decided to take the risk to et you to prepare you."
Nimo said, "Lynch, he wanted to pass on a ssage to you, to be very careful with your safety. He is well-liked in the union, as long as he remains undisclosed, he will be safe."
Lynch looked out the window; the Flash Gold Stone of the Black Crystal Tower was the only light here, and the oppressive air of the dark cave was stifling. In such an environnt, Little Finger was living alone, and even now, he was busy for his friends.
"Underground Union? People in large cloaks." Lynch felt the situation was becoming increasingly complex, tangled like a ball of yarn with clues everywhere but none clear. He thought carefully, stood up, and said to Deluo and Nimo, "I need to go out for a bit."
