cmfu发布Although now in the Anriel Continent, so human, elf, or beloved nations have been established, the barbaric lands are still very abundant. Sowhat remote areas have never even been inhabited, and many large beasts still dwell everywhere, tearing apart trade routes, making contact between the human world extrely unstable. Thus, various rcenaries and small adventure groups erged. At that ti, Wislin was just an Apprentice rcenary in Moon Harbor City. During an escort mission, he t the hearty dwarf Morgan, then the traveling companions Felps and Anna. Lynch, a Mage, beca the last mber to join this small group.
cmfu发布A rcenary group with a Mage was simply unimaginable in the rcenary world at that ti. The scarcity of Mages across the continent was akin to the rarity of fist-sized diamonds. Those who had magical abilities and were opposed to the rcenaries were generally priests from small temples or sorcerers with innate spellcasting abilities. Although these two could also provide considerable help, they lacked two very crucial aspects—knowledge and wisdom.
cmfu发布Apart from using various strange unnatural powers to eliminate enemies and protect allies, Mages were also the most important advisors at critical monts. Their advice could always resolve crises, bringing the dawn of hope and victory.
cmfu发布anwhile, becoming a Mage was exceedingly difficult. Without extraordinary talent and long-term study and learning, acquiring magical power was nearly impossible.
cmfu发布Lynch looked at his hands, smooth and soft. His long exposure to various special magic materials made his hands emit a faint fragrance. He lifted the glass of wine before him with these hands and suddenly beca dazed by the color of the wine.
cmfu发布The glass of wine contained a kind of yellow powder, hard to detect when the glass was shaken, but after being left on the table for a long ti, the yellow powder settled out again. Lynch looked up to observe the others in the tavern.
cmfu发布Several individuals quickly avoided the Mage's gaze, focusing on their food in front of them.
cmfu发布Lynch could distinguish between looks of fear and greedy looks. "No wonder hardly anyone cos here; turns out it's a bandit den."
cmfu发布The Mage gently shook a gold coin from between his fingers—no one saw where it ca from—and tossed it onto the table. The coin spun and scraped against the wooden surface with a "whirring" sound. The delightful sound attracted many greedy gazes to this small round tal.
cmfu发布The Mage smiled lightly, with the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, appearing as a kind smile to others, but those familiar with him knew that it was a smile indicating confidence in victory.
cmfu发布Just from the expressions earlier, Lynch knew who among them were the bandits in this shady tavern.
cmfu发布"Boss, the bill." Lynch said without turning his head, walking towards the door.
cmfu发布Several burly n suddenly stood up, blocking the Mage's path.
cmfu发布The Mage lightly smiled at the sturdy n before him, who indeed could easily throw the Mage out like a chick.
cmfu发布He swiftly tossed sothing into his mouth, continuing to smile at the n in front.
cmfu发布The innkeeper noticed the Mage's action and frowned slightly. Clearly, he had told the bandits earlier to wait until the Mage was unconscious before making a move. Unexpectedly, one gold coin triggered their desire to rob, causing them to forget the dreadful fact that their target was a Mage. "What a bunch of hopeless fools," the innkeeper spat and said bitterly.
cmfu发布"You! Hand over that stuff from before, you son of a bitch. If I'm satisfied, maybe I'll let your head stay on your neck, hahaha." He reached out a greasy hand to grab the Mage's shoulder, but suddenly pulled back and grimaced, "What the hell is this? The shoulder is growing teeth!"
cmfu发布The Mage maintained a faint smile, gently taking out a small pouch from his waist. As he untied the thin string, a faint fragrance spread throughout the tavern. The Mage placed the pouch gently into the bandit's hand, "Here, that's what you wanted."
