"Here they co..."

In a wonton shop near the gambling den, one of the two n eating suddenly whispered.

The other man imdiately looked up. He quickly spotted a young man in the crowd—not particularly tall, yet possessing an incredibly broad fra. The musculature of his back was thick and heavy, maintaining a posture with a hollowed chest and straightened spine even while walking.

This was what the Huayan people called the "Turtle-Back, Crane-Form."

Furthermore, the target's arms were noticeably longer than those of an average person.

It was clearly him.

The man took one look, then lowered his head to finish his wontons at lightning speed, even downing half the bowl of soup.

He then took out his phone to notify the other two: "Target has appeared."

These Luoyue people had been waiting here for three days, and finally, Chen Wujun had shown his face.

Soon, the other two arrived. Three n and one woman gathered together.

They dispersed along the street, waiting for Chen Wujun to erge.

There were no obvious signs of martial arts training on their bodies. They often needed to tail targets or infiltrate the hos of the wealthy; obvious physical signs would easily arouse suspicion.

However, all four were masters of the Qi Observation Way. This was a fist style developed in the old tis by absorbing Huayan martial arts, incorporating forms like the Tiger, Crane, and Mantis. They were also proficient with daggers, short and long knives, swords, iron rulers, twin axes, staffs, and glaives.

Although they were only at the Body Forging realm, the most important rule in killing was the prepared striking the unprepared.

Caught off guard, even an Old Arts expert at the Qi Refining realm or a New Arts master in the Harmonization Phase could fall at their hands.

...

anwhile, in the back room of the gambling den, Chen Wujun was giving instructions to his n.

"Curry, Ah Wei, you two go into the market this afternoon. Find a place to hide, then block their back door at eleven tonight."

"Ah Fei and Fa Zai, you two co inside with ."

"Rember to bring your gear."

"Brother Jun, should we prepare a weapon for you?"

"Get two scythes... actually, never mind. It's all the sa whether I have a weapon or not. Just get any blade." Chen Wujun hadn't used a scythe in combat before, but on second thought, the wounds left by a scythe were too distinctive.

He had already suffered a disadvantage because of sothing similar before.

Although Wen Long would definitely suspect him... the goods had appeared in Ji Xiang's car.

He couldn't possibly have robbed eight million in goods just to fra Ji Xiang, could he?

Ji Xiang didn't have that much face.

"Go and get ready," Chen Wujun ordered.

After lingering in the gambling den for a while, he stepped out.

On Longjin Street, the four individuals saw him exit the den and imdiately began to close in on him.

"Hm?" Chen Wujun's eyes suddenly narrowed.

He had been refining and training his eyes for the past few months. Now, with a single sweep, while he couldn't claim to see everyone on the street with perfect clarity, he could at least clearly discern the condition of the dozens of people around him.

Mixed in the crowd, a woman was walking toward him, her gaze fixed on him. This in itself wasn't unusual; Chen Wujun's physique was extraordinary, and people stared wherever he went.

But although the signs of martial arts training on her were faint, he spotted them at a glance.

Moreover, her hand was behind her back, as if reaching for sothing.

This imdiately put him on high alert.

At the sa ti, his gaze swept to the side. Three ters away from her, a man was also walking in his direction. The man's eyes landed on him, and the mont their gazes t, he imdiately looked away.

'Sothing's wrong!' Chen Wujun instantly realized sothing was amiss. He casually turned his head and spotted two more people in the crowd staring at him with unfriendly intentions.

'At least four of them! Lidong hired hitn to kill !' The realization struck Chen Wujun like a flash of lightning.

His first thought was to turn around and run back into the gambling den. After all, he was a boss now; there was no need to fight assassins himself.

However, in just a split second, he realized this was an opportunity—a chance to clear himself of most suspicion.

Besides, they thought they were the prepared striking the unprepared. In reality, he had already spotted them; now, he was the one prepared striking the unprepared.

Having made up his mind, Chen Wujun feigned ignorance and continued walking forward.

Simultaneously, he took a deep breath, circulating the Qi and blood throughout his body.

His physique began to expand, inch by inch.

When he was one ter away from the woman, she suddenly stumbled as if tripped, lurching toward Chen Wujun. At the sa ti, she pressed a dagger close to her body and thrust it toward his lower abdon.

"You have a death wish!" Chen Wujun suddenly roared. With a twist of his foot, he squeezed to the woman's side and simultaneously slamd his palm horizontally against her head.

The woman tried to twist away, but her head buzzed violently. Her vision went black, and she saw nothing more.

She wasn't dead, but blood was flowing from her eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

Chen Wujun could crush a skull with a single punch. His palm strike had nearly exploded her head.

Then, Chen Wujun grabbed the dagger in her hand with one hand and seized her neck with the other. He slamd her forward into another approaching man, sending the people between them flying to the roadside like a rampaging human truck.

While charging forward with the person in his grip, he swiftly stabbed the dagger into the woman's body, saring his hand with blood.

The assassin facing him realized the situation was dire. He leaped backward, knocking over two bystanders, then stomped violently on the adjacent wall to launch himself into the air. His index fingers hooked down like iron claws—the Mantis form of the Qi Observation Way.

He intended to gouge out Chen Wujun's eyes in a single strike.

"Roar!" Chen Wujun let out a tiger-like roar, shaking his opponent's Qi and blood.

At the sa ti, he released the woman, letting her fly into the wall.

He crossed both hands upward to catch the opponent's wrists.

Seeing his wrists seized, the assassin imdiately sank his body weight and kicked toward Chen Wujun's chest.

However, his expression changed instantly. It didn't feel like he had kicked a human chest but rather an iron plate.

The mont Chen Wujun grabbed the opponent's wrists, he gauged the man's strength. Allowing the kick to land on his chest, he twisted the man's wrists, turned, and smashed him into the ground.

Bang!

The assassin was half-buried in the ground, an unknown number of bones broken in his body.

Chen Wujun's movents were as swift as a rising rabbit and a diving falcon. He followed up with a kick to the man's waist, visibly deforming the man's body.

At this mont, Chen Wujun clutched his chest with one hand and covered his mouth with the other, spitting out saliva while saring the blood from his hand over his mouth.

At first glance, with his mouth covered in blood, it looked as if he had vomited it.

Seeing the scene, pedestrians on the street scread and scrambled into the nearby shops. anwhile, the remaining two assassins rushed toward Chen Wujun.

One wielded two short knives, leaping up to hack at Chen Wujun's head.

The other shrunk his body, seemingly transforming into a dwarf, and slashed two short knives toward Chen Wujun's calves.

Chen Wujun leaped backward, grabbing a nearby stool and hurling it at the assassin in the air.

The opponent shattered the stool with a kick, stepped on the shoulder of the man below to launch himself again, and lunged at the top of Chen Wujun's head once more.

The man below suddenly unfolded his body, stabbing knife after knife toward Chen Wujun's chest and abdon.

These two assassins weren't exceptionally strong, but their teamwork was superb, and they were ard. Chen Wujun was forced to continue retreating, taking seven or eight steps back until he hit a fried eggplant stall. Without turning his head, he suddenly grabbed the pot of hot oil used for frying eggplants behind him and splashed it at the man lunging from above.

A look of horror instantly appeared on the opponent's face, and he hurriedly raised his arms to block.

But there was no dodging it. The pot of scalding oil splashed squarely onto him. Amidst miserable screams, he fell to the ground, accompanied by a savory aroma.

However, this move caused a delay in Chen Wujun's actions. The other man drove a short knife directly into Chen Wujun's lower abdon. Yet, the mont it pierced, he felt sothing was wrong.

Chen Wujun grabbed the short knives with both hands. Although the tips were pressed against his stomach, they hadn't penetrated a single inch.

The man tried to pull the blades back to slice off Chen Wujun's fingers, but Chen Wujun's fingers were crimson and hard as refined steel.

"Argh—!" Chen Wujun let out a miserable scream, while silently launching a kick squarely into the opponent's chest.

Bang!

The kick snapped an unknown number of ribs.

The dual blades fell into Chen Wujun's hands.

Chen Wujun used a bit of force to poke his own stomach... it didn't hurt.

Looking down, he saw just two white marks.

He simply gripped the blades with both hands as if they were stuck in his abdon, stepped forward a few paces, and kicked the assassin who was emitting a savory fragrance.

The other assassin, who had taken a kick to the waist, scrambled up to flee but was caught by Chen Wujun, who swept a kick across his ankle. The man was instantly sent crashing sideways.

Before he could hit the ground, Chen Wujun delivered a lightning-fast kick to his spine.

Crack!

The spine was snapped by Chen Wujun's kick, and the man flew down the street.

At that mont, Chen Wujun's mind raced, figuring out how to act out the next part.

Lie on the ground... he couldn't afford the embarrassnt... he had a reputation to keep.

If he didn't lie down, how could he make his injuries look severe?

The entire battle had lasted less than a minute. Their movents were faster than in the movies. All four assassins had been beaten to death by him, and the gambling den hadn't even received the news yet.

Fortunately, they were close to the den. Ah Fei and Fa Zai, having received word, rushed over with a dozen lackeys.

Seeing Chen Wujun with blood on his face and stomach, and blade handles protruding from his abdon, they turned pale with fright.

"Brother Jun, how are you?"

"Fuck! By the ti you lot arrived, I would've been hacked to death!" Chen Wujun feigned a look of ferocity and rage. He glanced at Ah Fei—this was his Head Horse; weak in combat but thorough in work. Couldn't kick him.

He glanced at Fa Zai. This one he could kick.

Clutching his stomach with one hand, he kicked Fa Zai with the vigor of a dragon and tiger, sending him flying more than three ters to slam against the wall.

Then he cried out, "Ouch... why aren't you taking to the hospital yet!"

Fa Zai, having taken a kick to the stomach from Chen Wujun, felt as if his lungs had been flattened, unable to catch his breath despite being an Initial Construction Phase martial artist.

"Quick, to the hospital!" Ah Fei hurriedly led the n to escort Chen Wujun out of the Walled City and into a car headed for the hospital.

As soon as they got in the car, Chen Wujun took the blades down.

"Brother Jun, you can't pull them out..." Ah Fei said anxiously.

"You think I'm dying?" Chen Wujun snapped.

Ah Fei looked closely and saw there were no wounds on Chen Wujun's stomach. His face completely blanked with shock.

"Find a reliable doctor. Sternum fracture, two stab wounds in the stomach... If the doctor has an objection, make him have a sternum fracture and two stab wounds!" Chen Wujun said through gritted teeth.

"Understood?"

"Understood!" Fa Zai replied imdiately.

"And find out whose n those were!"

"I'm going to skin them!"

"By the way, when you speak to the public, make it clear: those assassins were all Old Arts experts, and every one of them was stronger than Yu Wei. Not just any random cat or dog can ambush and severely injure ..."

"Make sure you rember that!"

This was about his gold content—his prestige!
