Back in his dressing room, just as he was about to catch up with Heidi Klum, Tina Fey ca over to notify him that soone was waiting for him.

After taking the elevator to the floor of his suite, Tina Fey walked beside Duke, reminding him, "I told her you were busy and suggested she co back another day, but she insisted on waiting for you."
Entering the living room of the suite, a slender, weak girl was standing with her back to them, seemingly engrossed in a painting on the wall.
She wore a simple gray T-shirt and denim shorts, and her brown curly hair was casually tied into a ponytail, topped off with an old New York Yankees baseball cap.
"Hey, Nat."
Duke walked up to her and greeted her first, "What brings you here today?"
"These days, the dia’s been all over your news, and I think your promotional tactics for the film are interesting." Natalie Portman looked away from the painting and turned to look at Duke. "I rember last ti you said you’d buy a drink when you were back in New York."
"I’ve been a bit busy lately..." Duke lightly tapped his forehead, "I almost forgot about that."
He gestured for Tina Fey to leave, and Tina promptly did. Duke walked over to the bar, casually rummaging through the cabinet. Not being very knowledgeable about wine, he just grabbed a bottle of Bordeaux red wine, along with two glasses, and set them on the counter.
"Please, have a seat, Nat."
Duke opened the wine and pointed to a high stool across from the bar. Natalie walked over, sat down, and waited while Duke set up the glasses. He poured so wine, and without saying much, she imdiately raised her glass and drank nearly half.
Looking at the glass that Natalie had set down, Duke furrowed his brows. He had heard from Tina Fey about her behavior, and it seed odd to him. They weren’t exactly friends.
Though Natalie appeared calm, her actions suggested sothing was going on.
Duke poured more wine and raised his glass. He clinked it with hers, "Cheers!"
"Cheers!" Natalie drank half of her glass again.
"Nat?" Duke asked, seeing her thoughtful expression.
"Yes?" Natalie raised her face to et his gaze.
Duke hesitated before asking, "Can you tell what’s going on?"
"Do you know, Duke?" Natalie slowly swirled her wine glass, her eyes lowered. "Since The Phantom nace ca out, everything has changed."
"That’s normal," Duke responded with aning, "You beca the globally famous Queen Padmé Amidala."
"I’m Natalie Portman..." Natalie stressed again, "Not anyone else!"
Duke shrugged. He wasn’t going to argue on this topic.
Natalie took off her Yankees cap, tossed it onto the counter, and adjusted her brown hair. "Fa cos at a price. I’ve been feeling it recently. Everyone treats like Amidala, assuming I’ve beco an unreachable big star. They distance themselves from , even my close friends."
"That’s not surprising." Duke raised his glass again, clinking it with hers, "At every stage of life, you lose and gain friends as you progress."
"Is that how it is for you?" Natalie took a sip of her wine and asked.
Duke shook his head, "I have few friends, but Zach Snyder, John Schwartzman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Irene Landay, and Sofia Coppola are friends who have the right to speak to on equal terms."
Natalie’s brown eyes flickered, as if she were contemplating his words. After a mont, she suddenly changed the subject, "I passed my Harvard interview. I’ll be heading to Cambridge soon."
"Congratulations!" Duke raised his glass in celebration.
"Thanks." Natalie drank it all in one go.
As Duke poured more wine, Natalie continued, "The acceptance letter from Harvard has brought so trouble. I don’t know who to ask for advice."
"Your parents." Duke replied without hesitation.
But Natalie shook her head, "They can’t help, because the trouble cos from my family, from my father."
As she ntioned this, Natalie’s brow furrowed lightly. She took another sip of wine. "When you chose Hollywood, didn’t Leah oppose it?"
"No," Duke’s fingers gently traced the rim of his glass as he thought back on his mother’s seemingly indifferent but supportive stance. A small smile crept onto his lips. "Mom just reminded that it would be tough, but she supported in every way, whether through encouragent or finances. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today."
Duke wasn’t slow to catch on. Seeing Natalie silent, he asked, "Does your father oppose your acting career?"
"He wants to give up being an actress."
Rubbing her flushed face, Natalie drank the last of her wine. Her voice had a rebellious tone, filled with youthful frustration. "Why can’t I chase my dreams like other girls? Why have I always had to eat vegetarian food? Why am I forced to be celibate? Why..."
