“I keep seeing Master Nie reply to ssages on his cell phone, I wonder who it is. I heard that Master Nie is a very serious person and hardly does this in public areas. Who could he possibly treat this way?”

That person must be really important and impressive, too.

He thought that but did not verbalize it.

Whoever the other party was, that person was out of their league.

It must be another master.

Wei Ling watched that old man from afar, who was still looking down on his cell phone. Her brows knitted together as she recalled sothing.

It had been over a month since Qiao Chen ca to Beijing, and her piano skills had improved a lot since then. Since her husband had already brought her over to nurture her, Wei Ling felt that they could use her for their own interests as well. She thought that the timing was perfect. With Master Nie returning from abroad, she could have Qiao Chen learn from him. When Qiao Chen got into Qing University, she could get soone to market her so that the public could forget about all her ugly affairs in Rao City. Qiao Chen was a worthy investnt.

But seeing how Master Nie wasn’t the least bit interested in the Piano Association, she couldn’t help but pull a long face. She had no idea how to proceed from here.

Twenty minutes later, the crowd dispersed.

Wei Ling picked up the item on the table and ignored everyone trying to get her attention. She walked against the current and approached the old man.

“Mas—”

She hadn’t even managed to finish her sentence when soone made it to him before her.

Tang Wanru was proud by nature and ca from a wealthy family. Everything had gone her way her whole life and she rarely ever put herself down in front of soone else. This ti, she smiled very kindly as she politely greeted the old man. “Master Nie, nice to et you. I’m Tang Wanru, the Jiang Family’s daughter-in-law. This is my daughter, Xianrou.”

She waved her hand and got Jiang Xianrou to walk over. She smiled and said, “Xianrou, hurry and go say hi to Grandpa Nie.”

Jiang Xianrou obediently went forward and greeted the man courteously. “Hello, Grandpa Nie. I’m Jiang Xianrou. My grandpa has always told about how amazing you are. It’s an honor to et you.”

Nie Mi looked at the two who had just got into his way. He intuitively frowned, and a flash of annoyance could be seen on his face. However, after hearing their introduction, his expression softened and he asked kindly, “I haven’t visited your grandpa for a few years because I was abroad. How is he doing?”

He and Jiang Weishang were elders who greatly respected tradition and culture. Jiang Weishang was an outstanding man who had a way of managing people. In the early years, Jiang Weishang had always helped him out whenever he needed it. They were on good terms and were considerably close long-ti friends despite not eting much.

Jiang Xianrou felt much more at ease when she heard his tone soften. She looked up at him with her bright eyes and responded respectfully, “My grandpa is in good health, but he’s been thinking about you. He said he hasn’t seen you in a while and hopes to et you for a al to catch up.”

A look of longing appeared on Nie Mi’s face, and his features softened further. He revealed a rare smile. “...I’ll visit him when I have the ti.”

Tang Wanru imdiately followed up. “Master Nie, would you have the ti one week from now? I can reserve a table at the Imperial Mansion. We can all have a al together.”

“One week from now?” Nie Mi had sothing on his mind. One week from now, the results for Qing University’s examinations would be released. He would want to have a look right away. After a short mont’s daze, he tactfully declined, “I might not have the ti.”

After all, they were the family mbers of his old friend, so he didn’t want to make things ugly. “How about this, I will contact Weishang when I have the ti. We can decide where to have our al when the ti cos.”
