"What man? Another con artist? Tell him to get lost!"
Madam ng didn’t have the energy to worry about whether it was a man or not; she just felt it must be another person trying to deceive her.
Here, ng Fanfan was still yelling, she yanked her hand away forcefully, glaring at Qin Qin, Feng Bai, and also President ng and Madam ng.
"You commoners, are you even worthy of speaking with ?"
ng Fanfan sneered coldly and walked outside.
"Stop Miss, stop her."
ng Fanfan ran outside; she needed to leave this ghostly place. She clearly rembered being forced to drink poisoned wine, so why was she in such a strange place? She had to go back to the Emperor to explain her innocence.
Seeing several oddly dressed n running towards her, ng Fanfan disregarded her deanor as an Imperial Noble Consort and quickly ran outside. As she exited the villa’s door, an approximately sixty-year-old beggar, disheveled and with hair that seed unwashed for months, blocked her way.
"Get out of the way, filthy beggar, do you know who you are blocking?"
ng Fanfan pointed at the old man’s nose, scolding fiercely.
"You should not have co here. This is not where you belong. You should not occupy a body that isn’t yours."
The Old Beggar grabbed ng Fanfan’s hand, and under her furious gaze, produced two red chopsticks from sowhere to pinch her middle finger, sticking a yellow talisman paper to her chest, while mumbling sothing in a low, rapid voice.
ng Fanfan’s initially angry expression started to beco dazed, her eyes turned vacant; she wanted to struggle, but couldn’t.
"What are you doing? Who are you?"
President ng looked furiously at the old beggar using red chopsticks to clamp his daughter’s hand, as she appeared dazed and seed close to fainting.
Qin Qin and Feng Bai also ran over from inside, watching what the old beggar was doing.
The Old Beggar did not notice Qin Qin and Feng Bai behind President ng and Madam ng.
The Old Beggar looked at the enraged President ng, a mysterious smile playing on his lips, "If President ng wants to save Miss ng, then shut up."
President ng and Madam ng were intimidated by the aura emanating from the Old Beggar, shocked that such a beggar could have such a commanding presence.
The Old Beggar chanted curses again, taking out another sheet of yellow talisman paper and sticking it onto ng Fanfan, commanding sharply, "Go!"
As the Old Beggar’s voice rang out, ng Fanfan seed to be in excruciating pain, her whole body trembling. At one mont, she let out a weak sound; in the next, a fierce voice.
The Old Beggar pressed the red chopsticks in his hand, gradually silencing that fierce voice.
ng Fanfan seed utterly drained of strength, on the verge of collapsing to the ground. The Old Beggar supported her body, looking towards Madam ng and President ng, "Miss ng is fine now, take her to rest."
Madam ng hurried forward to support ng Fanfan, watching her fall into a deep sleep, then looked towards the Old Beggar, "Is my daughter really alright?"
ng Fanfan awoke from her slumber, looked at Madam ng, "Mom, Mom!"
Madam ng joyfully embraced her daughter, gratefully thanking the Old Beggar, "Thank you, sir, I was blind just now and failed to recognize your greatness."
President ng stepped forward, standing before the Old Beggar, gratefully thanking him, "Thank you, sir, for saving my daughter. Please co in and rest for a while; let the servants prepare so good food as well."
An inconspicuous beggar, disheveled in appearance, turned out to be a powerful expert, an exorcist no less.
The Old Beggar laughed heartily, looking at President ng and Madam ng, "No need, I’m not fond of these things."
The Old Beggar smiled and turned around to leave but stopped, turning back to gaze past President ng and Madam ng at Qin Qin and Feng Bai, his face growing serious.
"There’s another one!"
"What is the old gentleman saying? Another what?"
President ng looked at the Old Beggar puzzled, who shook his head, his gaze fixed on Qin Qin.
Feng Bai, displeased, glared at the Old Beggar, blocking in front of Qin Qin, "What are you looking at?"
The Old Beggar stared at Feng Bai, his expression subtly changing; he... he couldn’t see through him! How could it be?
"Who are you people?"
The Old Beggar frowned inquiringly, after seeing Feng Bai, he then closely examined Qin Qin. This woman was no ordinary person, occupying soone else’s body, yet that body exuded a kind of spiritual energy that he himself found incredible. Who exactly were these two people?
Qin Qin’s heart fluttered greatly; the old beggar’s gaze was so piercing that it seed to see right through her.
When he dealt with the other invading consciousness in ng Fanfan earlier, she felt a bit tense, an emotion she hadn’t experienced in a long ti.
