Thinking about how Li Jingmo had so much food to himself in the evening made her fu.
“Okay, I’ll take you out for so tasty food tomorrow.”
Feng Bai’s eyes lit up as she nodded vigorously.
As long as there was good food, she was easy to talk to.
“Sleep well when you get back, and I’ll take you out for food tomorrow.”
Feng Bai made a couple of sounds in agreent. Li Jingmo stepped forward and swept her up into his arms. Feng Bai looked at him, puzzled, “Why are you carrying again?”
“Girlfriend benefits!”
Bending his head to gaze at her adorable expression, Li Jingmo couldn’t resist and leaned in to kiss her on the lips.
Feng Bai covered her kissed lips, again puzzled, “Why did you kiss again?”
Why did he like kissing her so much?
“Boyfriend benefits!”
His deep, sexy voice rang out, and Feng Bai was stunned, finding herself unable to rebut.
The next day, Feng Bai got up on ti. Since arriving here, she was used to getting up at six o’clock to clean, so she had grown accustod to rising early.
After washing up, Feng Bai went downstairs. Seeing her, Steward Ming walked over with a cry of surprise, “Feng Bai, why are you up so early?”
“I’m up to clean.”
Steward Ming’s question was strangely worded. It wasn’t like her to not get up early.
“No need for that, not anymore.”
Steward Ming smiled obsequiously. Last night Master Li had personally given him a call, instructing him not to arrange any more work for Feng Bai.
Of course Steward Ming understood Li Jingmo’s aning and quickly nodded. He had gotten up early just to make sure Feng Bai wouldn’t have to do any work.
“Why not?” Feng Bai looked at Steward Ming with curiosity.
“Your status isn’t the sa anymore, we certainly can’t have you doing manual labor.”
“Status isn’t the sa? Could it be because I’m Li Jingmo’s girlfriend?” Could this also be a girlfriend benefit?
Steward Ming was shocked; his mouth agape. What was Feng Bai talking about? Master Li’s girlfriend? She beca his girlfriend overnight?
“Could you… could you say that again?”
Had he misheard because he was not fully awake?
“Li Jingmo asked to be his girlfriend. Could this be the girlfriend benefit? No need, I don’t want this benefit. I still like to move around, to warm up my body.”
After all, the work wasn’t hard, and she quite enjoyed it.
“You are… Master Li’s girlfriend!”
Steward Ming’s voice failed to remain under control, startling all the new servants who had just arrived. They were brought urgently from the Li Family by Steward Ming and, of course, knew of Li Jingmo’s cold and ruthless deanor. Could it be that Master Li now had a girl, who looked to be around eighteen, as his girlfriend?
“Yes, he asked to. He even talked about benefits.”
After speaking, Feng Bai prepared to pick up a rag to start cleaning, but was stopped by a horrified Steward Ming, “Oh dear young miss, you really can’t do this. If Master Li sees, I’m done for.”
“No, he won’t mind. Just let work a bit.”
Feng Bai tried to get past Steward Ming but was blocked by him, “Or, or, why don’t you take General for a walk?”
Taking a walk with General was the easiest task here; it wasn’t really considered work. It just ant taking Master Li’s favorite pet for a walk.
“Alright, I’ll go check on General.”
“Good, good, take so food with you.”
Steward Ming wiped the nonexistent sweat from his forehead, relieved at last.
It was fortunate that Feng Bai was rather simple and not one to hold grudges. If she were the vengeful type, he might have been kicked out of Jade Creek Garden by now.
And what Feng Bai had said earlier about being Master Li’s girlfriend—had he misheard?
“Tell , did Feng Bai just say that Master Li made her his girlfriend?”
Pulling over a servant, Steward Ming asked in a whisper.
The maid nodded hastily, confirming to Steward Ming that his ears were indeed working fine. His Master Li had finally seen sense.
Feng Bai carried so food into General’s room, which had its own cozy warming house, filled with comforts and toys. Seeing General’s bed, Feng Bai felt a mixture of envy and resentnt.
“General.” The mont Feng Bai’s voice sounded, General bolted from his bed and pounced towards her.
Seeing General about to jump on her, Feng Bai’s face fell, “Sit down and be good.”
General looked at Feng Bai with pitiful eyes, and she was montarily distracted. It seed like she had once bullied an animal just the sa, but what was it? She just couldn’t recall.
Forget it, no use thinking about it. It only gave her a headache.
Watching General sit obediently in front of her, Feng Bai moved to sit aside and placed General’s food on the floor, “Go ahead and eat, have a little more.”
General waggled his tongue and walked over to Feng Bai, lowering his head to the dog food in front of him.
