Chapter 647: Chapter 240: Su Qing, Can You Heal? Chapter 647: Chapter 240: Su Qing, Can You Heal? Su Qing followed Aunt Hong to Madam Fu’s private shrine. Madam Fu was a devout Buddhist, so she had built a small shrine at ho to worship Buddha, where she spent most of her ti chanting and copying scriptures.

“Madam!”

Aunt Hong walked towards the inside of the shrine where the wooden fish was being gently struck. Madam Fu knelt on the cushion with her hands pressed together in prayer, her eyes closed as she recited Buddhist sutras from mory.

After hearing Aunt Hong’s call, Madam Fu opened her eyes after a mont, bowed to the Buddha statue in front of her, and Aunt Hong stepped forward to help Madam Fu to her feet. With Aunt Hong’s assistance, Madam Fu rose and turned to look at Su Qing, who had been standing quietly without speaking.

Madam Fu had a kind appearance and was dressed in simple clothes. Despite this, she exuded a noble air, graceful and luxurious.

Madam Fu walked towards Su Qing, her gaze tender, “It’s good that you’ve woken up. I heard from Ah Hong that you can’t rember your own na?”

Madam Fu took Su Qing’s hand and looked her over carefully, noting with so surprise that she was wearing a pair of black-frad glasses. Madam Fu glanced at Aunt Hong beside her, aware it must have been her idea, probably due to the influence of her own second daughter.

“Please sit down, your health probably hasn’t fully recovered yet.”

Madam Fu led Su Qing to a wooden table nearby, where they sat facing each other.

“Thank you, Madam Fu,” Su Qing said softly.

Madam Fu smiled and shook her head, “No need to thank , it’s good enough that you are alright. It doesn’t matter if you can’t rember, you can stay at the Fu Family residence for now. I will try to help you find your family, and you can leave once they are found.”

Su Qing did not refuse, lacking any mory at the mont, staying at the Fu Family’s house indeed seed the best option. She would decide what to do once she rembered who she was. If she couldn’t recall, she would find a way to search for her family on her own.

“Then, I’ll be troubling you, Madam,” she said.

Madam Fu gave a smile tinged with a wry amusent, “You don’t rember your na, and I won’t know how to address you in the future?”

“Madam, you can just call her Su Qing from now on,” Aunt Hong chid in with a smile.

Madam Fu looked puzzled for a mont, then smiled, “Alright, then I’ll call you Su Qing. Treat this place as your own ho and don’t be shy. If you need anything, just tell or Aunt Hong.”

Su Qing nodded, feeling grateful towards Madam Fu.

Madam Fu continued to speak with Su Qing for a while before instructing Aunt Hong to take her away.

Once Su Qing had left, a maid who had been striking the wooden fish ca over. She was about the sa age as Aunt Hong and had accompanied Madam Fu for years. All the Fu Family’s servants respectfully referred to her as Aunt Xue, even the Fu Family’s most haughty second young miss was well-behaved in front of her.

Aunt Xue approached Madam Fu, looking at the departing figures of Su Qing and Aunt Hong with curiosity, “Madam, why are you so kind to this Miss Su Qing?”

Madam Fu was kindhearted, but it was rare to see her treating an unfamiliar girl with such courtesy and offering her to stay indefinitely while looking for her family.

Madam Fu’s lips curled into a knowing smile, looking at Aunt Xue, who had followed her for over two decades. “This girl nad Su Qing is not simple. She must co from a significant background. Being courteous to her can only benefit and will do no harm.”

Aunt Xue nodded in understanding—it was a surprise that Miss Su Qing had an extraordinary background.

Aunt Hong did not take Qin Qin back to her room but took advantage of the good weather to lead her to the Fu Family’s back garden instead.

Qin Qin observed the Fu Family’s back garden, which was abundant with flower beds, trees, artificial hills, and fountains.

Walking on the fine gravel path, she and Aunt Hong strolled through the back garden, chatting as they went.

Two won, one around twenty-one or twenty-two and the other about eighteen years old, ca from not too far away, the younger one clinging to the other’s arm, speaking softly.

“Sister, you just…”

“Eldest Miss, second young miss,” Aunt Hong greeted the pair, pausing and calling out softly as she saw them.

The Fu Family’s eldest young miss resembled Madam Fu, having an elegant and luxurious appearance, her smile warm and gentle. The appearance of the second young miss of the Fu Family, on the other hand, was striking and dazzling.

The second young miss Fu Lii released her sister Fu Lixin’s arm and looked at Aunt Hong, then turned her gaze to Su Qing, “Aunt Hong, who is she? I haven’t seen her before; is she a new servant?”

“To answer the second young miss, Su Qing was brought back by Madam Fu and is not a servant,” Aunt Hong replied softly.

Fu Lii’s gaze swept over Su Qing, and she sneered, “So you’re the person mother saved. Not much to look at, and with those glasses, hideously ugly.”

Su Qing remained silent. Seeing her reaction, Fu Lii scoffed, “Hey, your na is Su Qing, right? Take off your glasses for ; I want to see what you actually look like.”
