Just as everyone was engaged in a heated discussion, ng Xing’s puzzled voice rang out.
Sun Xiyang looked toward Jiang Qingtian’s position, only to find it empty.
“Afong, take Ah Ji and these three away, Ah Xing and I will go look for the captain,” Sun Xiyang said.
“Alright, be careful. I’ve heard that Luoyun Mountain isn’t very safe,” Afong replied.
Afong and Ah Kang nodded, one supporting Ah Ji while the other held a gun to hasten the departure of Black Panther and his two companions.
Sun Xiyang and ng Xing exchanged glances, then took out their guns and headed in the direction Qin Qin and Jiang Qingtian had left.
Qin Qin was oblivious to all of this. She carried the Spirit Fox toward the place she had seen in Black Panther’s footage. Along the way, she put the Spirit Fox down in a spot that seed safe and laid out several bunches of grapes at its feet. “Alright, little one, you stay here. I have to go,” she said.
The Spirit Fox didn’t even glance at the grapes at its feet but instead swiftly clasped its front paws tightly around Qin Qin, preventing her from leaving.
Looking down at the fox at her feet, Qin Qin showed a puzzled face. “You don’t want to go?!” she asked.
The Spirit Fox gave a pitiable look, and its dumbfounded expression softened Qin Qin’s heart considerably. Rembering that the little creature had saved her before, Qin Qin smiled, squatted down, and stroked the snowy white fur of the Spirit Fox. “Little one, I really can’t stay here, and this isn’t a place I can live in,” she explained.
“Woo woo… woo woo…” the Spirit Fox clutched anxiously at Qin Qin’s pant leg, as if wanting to say sothing but unable to speak.
Squinting at the agitated Spirit Fox, Qin Qin suspiciously asked, “Do you want to leave with ?!”
The Spirit Fox released Qin Qin’s pant leg and started to bounce on the spot, nodding its head in a cute and adorable manner.
This little creature actually wanted to leave with her?!
Watching the bouncing little fox, Qin Qin thought for a mont and then nodded. “Okay, you can co with , but you must listen to , understand?”
In truth, she was quite fond of the little thing and since it had also saved her, she decided to let it follow her away.
In the space, Xiao Fong drew circles in a corner, thinking how shaless the stinky fox was for latching onto its master so quickly.
Seeing the Spirit Fox’s happy deanor, Qin Qin smiled and walked on, with the Spirit Fox obediently wagging its tail and following behind her.
Half an hour later, Qin Qin stood in front of a cave entrance; she had seen the trio sneakily place things inside this cave in the footage earlier.
Qin Qin stepped into the cave, followed by the Spirit Fox that hopped in after her.
Soon, a tall figure appeared in front of the cave, Jiang Qingtian frowned as he stared at the not-so-large entrance, puzzling over what that woman was doing inside the cave. Moreover, the way she had walked seed as if she was very familiar with the path.
Jiang Qingtian didn’t enter the cave but instead carefully surveyed the surroundings, making sure there were no dangers before waiting in place.
To be honest, Jiang Qingtian himself couldn’t understand why he had followed this girl nad Qin Qin. After much deliberation, he could only tell himself that he was worried about the young girl wandering alone in Luoyun Mountain, fearing she might encounter trouble.
Inside the cave, the dim light didn’t hinder Qin Qin’s eyesight.
Following the scene she had observed, she walked directly to the innermost part of the cave, where a rock lay. Squatting down, Qin Qin removed the stone and then picked up a broken branch to dig the soil. Minutes later, a black leather suitcase erged in front of Qin Qin. She promptly pulled it out, opened the suitcase, and a curve graced her lips at the sight that greeted her.
A large sum of neatly arranged cash occupied the suitcase. Without counting, she knew there were millions in cash there. Qin Qin threw both the money and the suitcase into her space.
As for the big bag buried beneath the suitcase, she wasn’t interested and decided to let that harmful stuff rot underground.
After finishing all this, Qin Qin dusted off her hands and walked out of the cave, but her eyes grew cold when she saw a figure not far from the cave.
Jiang Qingtian opened his feigned-sleepy eyes and walked towards Qin Qin from the big tree he had been leaning on, his deanor relaxed as though he was simply enjoying a stroll around the area.
“You’ve been following ?” Qin Qin questioned, looking at Jiang Qingtian with suspicion. She hadn’t noticed soone was following her, which ant this man was certainly no simpleton.
Jiang Qingtian glanced at the cave and then fixed his gaze on Qin Qin, “As a young lady, you’d better not wander around such dangerous places in the future.”
Qin Qin stared at Jiang Qingtian, thinking he was about to interrogate her.
“… Yeah, I know my limits!”
Seeing that Qin Qin didn’t seem to take his words to heart, Jiang Qingtian felt a surge of anger for no apparent reason and stepped forward to grip her right hand, forcing her to look at him, “If it’s nothing, then leave this place! Don’t take my words lightly.”
Qin Qin’s beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, and a gleam shot through her black pupils as she lifted the corners of her lips, “I know. I’ll leave when I need to. Can you let go of my hand now?”
Qin Qin attempted to pull her hand away but found that the man’s strength was cleverly applied, preventing her from freeing herself.
“What are you doing?” Sun Xiyang and ng Xing erged, both of them observing Qin Qin and Jiang Qingtian with peculiar looks.
Seeing the two n arrive, Jiang Qingtian did not release Qin Qin’s hand. Irritated, Qin Qin’s left hand promptly pressed a pressure point on Jiang Qingtian, and as he briefly loosened his grip, she pulled her hand free.
This man was truly strange! Who did he think he was to control her like that?
“Qin Qin, you’re here too? When you left, our team leader disappeared as well. I figured he must’ve been worried about a young girl walking in such a dangerous place, and so he followed you. Our team leader is a really good person, right?” ng Xing seed oblivious to the tension between them and cheerfully moved closer.
Qin Qin forced a stiff smile and ntally rolled her eyes, neither confirming nor denying.
The guy seed okay, but a little bit off in the head.
“Oh, you left so quickly, I forgot to ask for your phone number. I might need to reach you for sothing in the future, and in our line of work, having a doctor available is essential.”
ng Xing cheerfully approached Qin Qin and said.
Qin Qin liked this young man who didn’t seem much older than her. She recited a string of numbers and then said, “I’m not from Ning City. If you need , you can co to find in Guanyin Town.”
“You’re not from Ning City? How co you’re at Luoyun Mountain?!” ng Xing asked in bewildernt, not expecting Qin Qin to be from Chuandu City, so distance away from Ning City.
“There are plenty of wild herbs on Luoyun Mountain, and I ca here to have a look,” Qin Qin simply explained.
“Oh, but you better not co here again, this Luoyun Mountain is quite dangerous, and you, as a girl, should be more careful.”
Qin Qin nodded with a smile, but she didn’t notice the darkening look on Jiang Qingtian’s face. He showed concern for her, yet she spoke to him with that tone, while treating Ah Xing so gracefully. It was infuriating.
