Chapter 67: Chapter 67
It was his mother who sensed his weariness. When Camilla asked about the problem, he told her everything.
’It’s okay. I will ensure he never returns to her side,’ Camilla said back then.
Magically, Arthur disappeared not long after Camilla said that. When he asked his mother about Arthur, Camilla simply replied,
’Don’t worry about him. I sent him to another country and forbade him from returning. He won’t be a problem anymore.’
Sebastian didn’t know what Camilla did to get rid of that persistent shadow, but alas, Winter was all alone now, and he was at peace once more.
He rembered how indifferent Winter seed after Arthur’s disappearance, so he assud she wasn’t that attached to him.
But he couldn’t let his guard down, especially knowing that Arthur might be waiting for the right mont to seduce Winter.
"Step aside, I’m not done talking to my wife just yet," Sebastian said. But Arthur didn’t budge.
He stood firm and steady. He always maintained a polite and subservient deanor in front of Sebastian since this scum was his beloved Madam’s husband.
But Arthur didn’t want his Madam to be touched by Sebastian’s filthy hands.
"I’m afraid I cannot do that, sir. It all depends on Madam’s wish," Arthur said. He looked over his shoulder and asked, "What do you think, Madam? Do you want to go with
or with this man?"
"I’m her husband, not just ’this man.’ Mind your language. You’re just a hired bodyguard," Sebastian said coldly, ensuring Arthur knew his place.
"Madam doesn’t want to be with you, sir. Please don’t cross the boundary."
"Boundary? She is MY wife!" Sebastian raised his voice as he got offended by Arthur. He shifted his gaze to Winter, who hid behind Arthur. She looked as unimpressed as before, as if the argunt between Sebastian and Arthur was nothing but a hassle to her.
Sebastian didn’t know if he should be happy or not, knowing that Winter didn’t show any reaction to Arthur because that ant she also did not react to him.
Nevertheless, he still wished that Winter would take his side. "Let’s go ho, Winter. It’s been a long day for both of us."
"Don’t listen to him, Madam."
Winter didn’t react at first, thinking the petty argunt between these n was so annoying to listen to.
But her annoyance worsened when she realized so people began looking at the scene.
It was already embarrassing for two grown n to fight for... for what, exactly?
"I don’t need you to drive , Sebastian," Winter said calmly. Before Sebastian could protest, she quickly added, "I don’t think it’s necessary. Besides, we are literally living in the sa house. What’s the fuss all about anyway?"
"But—" Sebastian wanted to persuade Winter until she gave up. Unfortunately, Winter had already walked to her car and sat in the backseat.
She slamd the car door shut and waited for Arthur to drive her ho.
Arthur wore a triumphant smile, feeling smug about his victory. He relished the anger on Sebastian’s face, which Sebastian had been trying to hide.
"Looks like Madam feels safer with , sir. Now then, please excuse us. I’ll drive her ho," Arthur said, turning around and opening the car door, leaving Sebastian eating the dust as they drove off.
Sebastian gritted his teeth, rushing to his car and driving off. He silently followed Winter’s car, keeping a close distance so Winter knew he was behind her.
Honestly, Sebastian was unsure why he was doing this.
He was consud by anger and jealousy. He was worried that the bastard might’ve done sothing to his wife, even though it had been proven over and over that Arthur was a loyal bodyguard of hers, nothing more.
Sebastian’s actions were indeed unreasonable, but he couldn’t control his feelings.
anwhile, Arthur checked the rearview mirror and said, "Madam, Mr. Saenz is following us. Do you want
to confront him, or should I drive faster to lose him?"
"Hm? And why would we do that?" Winter asked, puzzled by Sebastian’s action. She didn’t rember offending him in any way.
"He is upset that you chose
over him to drive ho, Madam. I don’t know why he has to follow us, but I have a feeling he might be dangerous," Arthur said.
"Over that reason? Is that even sothing you need to get angry about?" Winter was even more confused than before. "Besides, we live together in the penthouse. He can be so unreasonable at tis."
"He’s indeed an unreasonable man, Madam. I don’t understand why you married him," Arthur said, feeling bolder as he thought his Madam shared the sa contempt he had for Sebastian Saenz. "I have a feeling he might be abusive, Madam. I think you should divorce him as soon as possible, or at least live in a separate house from him. We don’t know what he might do next when I’m not around."
"No, he’s not abusive," Winter denied.
She rembered what Sebastian had done to her in her previous life. He might be ignorant, cold, and a cheater. He had all the bad qualities a man could have, but he never laid a hand on her.
So she wasn’t scared of getting physically hard by Sebastian.
"A-are you sure, Madam? He seems to be the type who might snap and hit his wife," Arthur persisted. "If you feel unsafe, let
live in the penthouse too, Madam. I don’t mind taking a guest room or even the storage as my room, as long as I can be by your side."
Winter raised her brow, thinking that Arthur was so bold to propose living in the penthouse with her.
She knew this man probably just wanted to protect her, but it was too extre even for her taste.
"You don’t need to do that. Sebastian won’t do anything to ," Winter assured him. "And you don’t need to worry about him following us. We will et him again in the basent parking lot anyway."
