Chapter 144: Chapter 144
"Then I will walk by your side once again. All roads in my life will always lead to you, Winter," Sebastian said. "You don’t seem to understand that I always have the choice to leave if I want to in our previous lives after your death."
"Yes, you can..." Winter didn’t know what happened after her death. At first, she assud that Sebastian would’ve led a happy life without her being a burden. He would probably marry another woman imdiately, and then forget that Winter ever existed.
But after learning how he had suffered even worse than her, she began to wonder if it was truly okay to place the bla on him.
"Truthfully, at first, I wasn’t sure whether I loved you or not after we got married. I was contemplating my feelings for you, and it’s getting difficult for
to choose between you—the woman whom I married and eventually grew to like, and my mother, who kept reminding
that I have nobody but her in this world. That’s why I distanced myself from you, as I was afraid my feelings for you would continue to grow," Sebastian paused montarily. That mory was so bitter that it was difficult for him to continue. "But after your death, I realized that I truly fell in love with you. I lost a woman who loved
unconditionally, and I went into a deep depression because of that until I shot myself in the chest."
"So... Winter..." Sebastian halted his step. He turned to face Winter and vowed, "Even if your love for
in this world is conditional, or even if you can’t love
as much as you love Aiden, I vowed to stay by your side no matter what. I see this second chance to nd my mistake, so WE can be together."
Winter saw the unwavering determination in his eyes. Sebastian was serious about what he just said, and it made her want to reciprocate.
"Then, I will do my best to start loving you as much as I love Aiden. You and him are both important n in my life," Winter said.
Thus, Winter and Sebastian left the cetery after that.

Winter guessed that she would have a son as her first child, just like what happened in their previous lives. Though she didn’t mind either a boy or a girl, so she decided not to do an ultrasound as she wanted it to be a surprise once the baby was born.
Winter began to lessen her visit to the cetery in her second trister and stopped entirely in her third. She spent most of her ti at ho with her old mother.
Her bump was getting bigger and bigger, especially starting from her 36th week. Fortunately, she was still able to do everything at ho normally.
Sebastian was the one who stressed out over everything, to the point that he would call at least three tis a day when he was at work, on top of sending a second caregiver for her in case she needed anything.
"Do you already have a na for the baby?" Gina asked as they watched TV while waiting for Sebastian to eat dinner together. She looked at Winter’s bump and comnted, "It seems to be a boy."
"Oh? How do you know, Mom?"
"Just a gut feeling. But I can see the baby is kicking just now."
Winter smiled.
Her mother was right. Even in her previous lives, her baby bump was bigger than most, and the baby was very active from the start of the second trister.
It made her happy because that ant the baby was healthy.
"I don’t have a na yet, but Seb told
that he already has two nas prepared, depending on the baby’s gender later," Winter said. She rubbed her belly and muttered, "Well, I still want another child after this one. So, I’m sure none of the nas will get unused for long."
"Then, I hope I live long enough to see all of my grandchildren," Gina giggled. "Oh, I can’t wait to hold them for the first ti in my life."
The door was knocked and then unlocked from outside as they were watching TV. A loud, familiar voice echoed inside the penthouse, "I’m back!"
Sebastian rushed to the living room, and his eyes auto-focused on his wife, who smiled back at him.
"Welco ho, you’re early today," Winter greeted.
Sebastian took off his shoes and rushed to the sofa. He sat next to Winter and then kissed her on the cheek, "How are you doing today? All good?"
"Yeah, though the baby has been kicking more often. It makes
wonder if I’ll give birth soon," Winter said. "I’m on my 39th week."
"You could give birth anyti soon. I should probably stay at ho until next week, just to be sure," Sebastian said.
"Nu-uh, I know you’re busy in the office right now. Don’t worry. I can always call the ambulance when that ti cos," Winter assured.
Sebastian was still worried about his wife, but Winter didn’t want to dwell on this topic, so she asked, "How about we have dinner now? I’m starving."
"Oh, right!"
Sebastian helped his wife to get up and walk to the dining table before helping his mother-in-law. He called the caregiver who lived in the penthouse to take care of Gina, and they had dinner together.

It was late at night when Sebastian and Winter lay on the bed. They were in peaceful silence for a while before Winter asked, "Do you think I will give birth to a boy or a girl?"
"A boy. My gut feeling told
that you’d have a boy, just like in our previous lives," Sebastian replied. "Though, I’d love to have more with you in the future."
"Why don’t we put a gap between each baby? A five-year gap would be fine, right?" Winter asked.
"Yes, that would be perfect," Sebastian agreed. He placed his palm on her belly and felt a kick. "He’s feisty, unlike . I was very obedient as a kid. I can’t wait to see you soon, champ."
Winter giggled as she allowed her husband to rub her belly until her smile suddenly faded, and she said, "Seb..."
"Yes?"
"My water just broke."
