An Yuanyao clearly didn’t fully understand what was going through her younger brother’s head, but seeing how serious he looked, she decided not to object. She simply nodded.

At that mont, Liu Changqing, having just finished his phone call, walked quickly back into the house from the courtyard. His steps were brisk, and the mont he entered, his gaze swept around the room and imdiately landed on An Qianxun, who was standing behind his wife.

Striding straight over, he patted An Qianxun on the shoulder. Sensing the touch, An Qianxun turned and looked at his brother-in-law.

Liu Changqing’s expression was rather serious as he said,

“Co outside for a bit, I’ve got sothing to talk to you about.”

“Honey!”

Just as he finished speaking, An Yuanyao—who had been sitting on the sofa, still mulling over the baby-naming topic—called out, stopping him in his tracks just as he was about to turn and leave.

He looked at her in confusion.

“What is it?”

“Qianxun just said we should hire a professional to na the baby. What do you think?”

“Professional?”

He repeated the word, then blurted confidently,

“I am a professional. I’m great at naming.”

“Really?”

“Co on, trust your husband. Do I seem like the kind of guy who talks nonsense?”

Liu Changqing’s confident tone actually convinced An Yuanyao for a second.

But standing next to him, An Qianxun looked unconvinced.

“Brother-in-law… so, you already picked a na?”

“Not yet. But I’ve got the basic idea.”

With that, Liu Changqing didn’t rush to take Qianxun outside. Instead, he turned to the An siblings and began:

“Nas have real aning behind them. Take mine—Liu Changqing—it may sound ordinary, but if you reflect on it, you’ll realize it carries deep aning.”

“What aning?”

Hearing An Qianxun’s question, Liu Changqing paused.

“Well… let’s talk about that another ti. Anyway, for the baby, I already have a direction. For example, my surna is Liu, your sister’s is An. So I thought we could combine them. Right now, I'm thinking sothing like Liu An’an—it’s simple, easy to write and rember.”

“……”

“……”

The atmosphere grew awkward in an instant.

An Qianxun and An Yuanyao exchanged looks—and from each other’s eyes, they could both see it: utter disapproval.

This was their child, and as a mother, there was no way An Yuanyao would let her husband just throw together a na.

For once, she put her foot down.

“No way. That’s way too random!”

“Exactly!”

An Qianxun chid in, fanning the flas.

Seeing his wife so adamantly against one of his ideas was rare, and Liu Changqing looked a little surprised.

“Random? I think it’s pretty nice. Could even double as a nickna…”

“No!”

With arms crossed in an unmistakable no gesture, An Yuanyao stood firm in her maternal authority. She couldn’t let him be that casual about sothing so important.

Her expression turned unusually serious as she looked at Liu Changqing.

“Naming the baby is my responsibility. Once the baby is born, I promise to deliver a perfect result!”

“A perfect result? What, you think this is an exam or sothing—”

Halfway through, he caught sight of his wife’s increasingly angry face and wisely shut his mouth.

“…Alright, it’s all yours.”

Then, he grabbed the still-laughing An Qianxun.

“You can quit grinning. Co with .”

And with that, Liu Changqing dragged him outside.

Watching the two leave, An Yuanyao was still a bit upset.

How could her husband be so casual about this? “Liu An’an”? A na made of repeating syllables…

Liu An’an… Liu An’an…

She kept repeating it silently.

Bit by bit, her anger began to fade.

The more she thought about it… the more it actually sounded kind of cute.

That realization stunned her.

She quickly shook her head, trying to chase away the thought.

Then patted her cheeks lightly and mumbled to herself,

“Don’t get led astray by him. Changqing’s taste is not normal. You have to rember that…”

Not far away…

Liu Xiazhi, sitting upright, had heard the entire conversation about naming the baby.

She wanted to chi in so badly, but under threat from her brother, she could only sit obediently and stay quiet.

She stole a glance at him watching TV.

After hesitating for a bit, she finally couldn’t hold it in. She whispered—

“Brother, if we’re naming the baby… do you think Liu—”

“Shut your mouth.”

“Got it!”

She snapped her mouth shut, completely cowed by her brother’s warning.

That’s life.

If she had a second chance… Liu Xiazhi would never, ever rat out her brother again.

Outside.

Liu Changqing ca to a stop and turned to the still-chuckling An Qianxun, smacking him lightly on the shoulder.

“Cut it out. I’ve got sothing important to talk to you about.”

“I’ve never seen my sister actually get mad. Brother-in-law… respect.”

“……”

Liu Changqing’s blank expression shut Qianxun right up. Feeling a little awkward, he gave a couple of dry coughs and moved on.

“So, what’s up?”

“Li Chongming and Li Wanran are getting divorced.”

“…What?”

An Qianxun froze. Then he blinked and asked with disbelief,

“Since when?”

“Couple of days ago. Li Chongming cheated—Li Wanran caught him red-handed.”

“……”

An Qianxun was visibly shocked.

He stared at Liu Changqing for a long ti, then rubbed his forehead.

“Wait, wait—are you saying… Li Chongming was with another woman and Wanran caught him?”

“Yep.”

“He’s that stupid?”

“Who knows.”

Liu Changqing shrugged.

“Anyway, forget that part. Do you think you can help investigate soone?”

“Who?”

An Qianxun, though still processing what he’d just heard, responded imdiately.

As Liu Changqing recalled his recent phone call with Chu Fang—

He rembered that she had snuck the call in while Li Chongming was out. From her, he’d learned why Chu Fang had gotten close to him in the first place…

And why she hated him so much.

Although he couldn’t yet confirm if it really was connected to Li Chongming—

If he could just find that driver…

Liu Changqing looked at An Qianxun and said,

“Li Chongming’s forr driver—the one who went to prison.”
