Liu Changqing arrived at the company entrance, parked his car, and strode toward his office.

Pushing open the office door, he saw Feng Qian sitting inside and imdiately asked, “How’s it going over there?”

Noticing Liu Changqing’s arrival, Feng Qian responded, “It’s settled. It’s just a small company, after all, and the ga wasn’t even fully launched.”

With that, he handed over a contract signed with a South Korean online ga company.

Liu Changqing plopped down in his chair, adjusted his position, then placed his car keys lightly on the desk. He reached out, took the contract from Feng Qian, and flipped through it.

He had just bought a ga.

But… it was still incomplete and wasn’t even a dostic title. It was developed by a small South Korean company.

The ga was called 던전앤파이터—which, when translated into Chinese, was Dungeon &

Fighter.

Or simply, DNF.

When Liu Changqing first thought about making an online ga, this was the one that instantly ca to mind. Back in his original world, this ga had taken the student community by storm.

DNF was a 2D side-scrolling action RPG that inherited many features from classic console and arcade fighting gas. It combined quest-driven character progression with dungeons, PVP, and PVE, featuring an extensive gear and leveling system.

And the mont it launched, it exploded in popularity.

More importantly… it had incredible longevity.

Even in his previous life, when Liu Changqing had crossed into this world, DNF was still hanging on, barely alive, yet surviving year after year.

He even heard that a level 100 expansion was in the works.

Liu Changqing had played this ga for a long ti. During college, he had been addicted to farming Abyss Dungeons, grinding out over a dozen alternate accounts just to get better drops.

But eventually, the rapid cycle of gear updates made it impossible to keep up, and he gradually quit.

Even so, Liu Changqing still considered it an amazing ga. Its playability and fa made it a groundbreaking title.

Unfortunately… it was a real money sink.

At first, Liu Changqing thought that DNF, like Pokémon, wouldn’t exist in this world.

But reality proved otherwise.

At least, this ga existed here…

Thankfully, he wasn’t too late. The developers had only produced a rough, untested version before his team swooped in last month and acquired it for a reasonable price.

Now that he had it, Liu Changqing felt relieved. The next step was to assemble a team and establish a dedicated online gaming division to refine the frawork.

In fact, before sending his people to South Korea, he had already begun preparations. The office space was secured, and recruitnt was underway.

Setting the contract aside, Liu Changqing tapped his fingers lightly on the desk, lost in thought.

Feng Qian, seeing his silence, didn’t press further. He simply waited…

Until Liu Changqing finally spoke.

“Get in touch with Qiuqiu and arrange a eting.”

Li Chongming sat in his office, his brows furrowed.

He was deep in thought. Clearly, whatever he was pondering was a major headache.

Because… his company had run into financial trouble.

Although it wasn’t enough to bring him down just yet, things weren’t as easy as they used to be.

After officially divorcing An Yuanyao, he lost access to her family's network and connections, which dealt him a heavy blow.

In high school, Li Chongming had been smooth and well-liked—kind, warm, and easy to get along with.

But that was only during high school.

Once a person steps into society, experiences different realities, and faces new challenges, their mindset inevitably changes.

Li Chongming was no exception.

Sitting at his desk, he reached for his pack of cigarettes, pulled one out, and lit it with a lighter. Taking a deep drag, his tired eyes blinked slowly, and his dark circles stood out.

His ntal state was clearly worse than before.

In fact, it had been a while since he last went ho.

The ho where Li Wanran still lived.

He had given her an excuse—saying the company needed him and that he was too busy.

It wasn’t a lie. The company did need him.

But the part about not having ti to go ho? That was a lie.

Fortunately, Li Wanran didn’t question him too much, sparing him from having to pile on more fabricated explanations.

Snuffing out the cigarette in the ashtray, Li Chongming felt irritated. He took another puff, then crushed the cigarette out completely.

The more he smoked, the more agitated he beca.

Ye Rong had also encountered so minor issues recently. Luckily, her deep-rooted resources had helped her weather the storm.

But… that wasn’t what Li Chongming wanted.

In his plan, Ye Rong should have struggled more—pushed to the brink of collapse—before he swooped in at the last mont to seize control.

Then, bit by bit, he would consu everything she had.

That was how it was supposed to go.

But to his surprise, Ye Rong had managed to resolve the crisis on her own.

That woman—so arrogant and self-absorbed—had actually handled it?

After this incident, Li Chongming found himself admiring Li Wanran’s deceased father even more.

Even in death, the foundation he left behind was still holding strong.

Exhaling a heavy sigh, Li Chongming leaned back in his chair. Just as he was about to get up, his phone rang.

He glanced at the caller ID, his expression shifting slightly, then answered.

It was Ye Rong.

Holding the phone to his ear, Li Chongming adjusted his tone, putting on his usual calm deanor, even adding a faint smile.

“Mom, what’s up?”

“Are you still at the office?”

“Yeah, things have been busy. I haven’t been ho in a while… Did Wanran say sothing to you?”

“No, nothing like that.”

There was a brief pause on the other end. Then, Ye Rong’s voice ca through again.

“By the way, when you have a mont, co by. We need to discuss sothing about the company.”

“……”

Li Chongming’s expression shifted subtly, but a smile quickly ford on his lips.

“Sure! I’ll head over soon.”
