Chapter 341: You know I like Zhuang Heng
“Thanks for the reminder, Mr. Huo. You do love after all,” Yan Jinyi said with a grin.
Huo Xishen choked on his saliva.
“Enjoy yourself, Darling.” After saying that, he hurriedly hung up.
‘Doggy Huo is getting less and less resistant towards flirting.’ Yan Jinyi thought to herself in contempt.
She put away her phone and returned to the living room to see that it was already extrely crowded at this ti.
She walked around and soon saw Chen Keyi.
Tao Wei was present too and they were both speaking to an old man whose hair was white.
The old man was dressed in a traditional Chinese suit and he looked extrely energized.
She reckoned that he should be Peng Wusheng.
Peng Wusheng’s wife seed to be elsewhere. Well at least, Yan Jinyi didn’t notice anyone else when she looked around.
Just as she was contemplating if she should join in the conversation now, she suddenly saw Liu Ran loitering sneakily around the door.
‘This woman must be up to no good.’
With a glass of red wine in hand, Yan Jinyi followed Liu Ran to the garden outside.
Liu Ran was making a phone call and there was an elderly lady behind her who was wearing a dark red Cheongsam dress, looking particularly elegant and relaxed.
She could tell that the old lady must have been a stunner in her younger days.
“You an Yan Jinyi clinched the role she’s playing now by sleeping with others? That can’t be, Jinyi is not such a person!”
Liu Ran who was talking on the phone, suddenly exclaid loudly and the old lady glared at her with obvious displeasure.
Yan Jinyi was confused. ‘Is there sothing wrong with Liu Ran?’
Liu Ran obviously hadn’t noticed Yan Jinyi’s presence and as she continued to speak, she got more and more agitated. “That’s impossible, Jinyi knows that I like Zhuang Heng, so how can she be in an ambiguous relationship with him…”

While speaking on the phone, Liu Ran wiped her tears and she suddenly turned around, only to see that the old lady was behind her. She quickly put her phone aside and bowed to her. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Peng, I…”
The old lady took a sweeping glance at Liu Ran from head to toe. “You look quite familiar.”

The old lady rely nodded a little and asked, “Did you just ntion Zhuang Heng during the phone call?”
Liu Ran said with an awkward smile, “Yes.”
“Are you Zhuang Heng’s girlfriend?”
Liu Ran did not answer directly and instead said vaguely, “Zhuang Heng and I are both focusing on our acting careers for the ti being.”
“Oh I see. Did the Yan Jinyi whom you ntioned, co in between the both of you?”
Liu Ran suddenly teared up and hung her head low while fiddling with the hem of her skirt. “I believe Jinyi isn’t such a person, there must be so misunderstanding here!”
Liu Ran’s acting skills were best whenever she pretended to be the innocent party.
‘Do the pretentious b*tches of this era all behave like this? Cant you use smarter tactics? Even the cook at Black Clouds Fortress is smarter than Liu Ran.’
“If your love can withstand all obstacles, no one can ruin your relationship.”
Liu Ran wiped the tears at the corners of her eyes and then bowed again. “Mrs. Peng, you’re right. I… I have sothing to do now, I wish you a happy birthday and may you always be in the pink of health.”
“Alright.” The old lady nodded.
As soon as she turned around to leave, Liu Ran started smiling smugly.
Leaning against a tree trunk, Yan Jinyi observed her calmly.
Almost imdiately after Liu Ran left, an old lady who was dressed in simple clothes walked over and watched Liu Ran leave.
“Sis, what are you looking at?” asked the other old lady who had been talking to Liu Ran.
“Young people these days really resort to unscrupulous ans to achieve their agenda.”
‘Sis? Peng Wusheng’s wife is actually the other old lady who walked over?
