"So students from that gambling school are transferring here… doesn't sound too good."

"Agreed."

Standing beside Shirogane, Kaguya added,

"That school has always given off an abnormal vibe, both in individuals and as a whole. In my view, the students there have already grown pathological. Though, like Shuchiin, it's an old prestigious academy, Hyakkaou has clearly lost the ability to raise proper students. Bringing them here won't be good for us."

Kaguya's aning was obvious—she didn't want gamblers coming to taint the school.

"To be honest, I can't really oppose the school's decision either." Iino frowned. "Gambling does violate our rules, but if they strictly follow Shuchiin's regulations after transferring, then it should be fine."

"I think it sounds fun~"

As always, Fujiwara loved anything interesting.

"Students from that school must be fascinating."

Rinji: "I hope you're not thinking sothing dumb like 'Ah, I want to face off against real gamblers.'"

"But there's one thing…"

Ishigami suddenly realized sothing.

"Shouldn't transfer student information be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office? Why would the president get it too?"

His words made Shirogane flinch. He turned his head awkwardly and stamred,

"Th-that's because…"

"Oh, of course the president would get it." Rinji cut in. "Because besides being president of Shuchiin's student council, he's also the student council president of Hyakkaou Academy."

The room fell silent.

"Eh!!?" ×4

Everyone stared at Shirogane, who looked embarrassed in his seat.

"The president is also the president over there!?"

"I never heard about this!"

"Ah… actually… there's a reason, an accident, really." Shirogane tried to explain.

"When their council election happened, the president barged in and defeated their student council president, Momobami Kirari." Rinji interrupted. "It was the sa day he ca to that school to pick up."

"…."

The council mbers looked at him in shock, with a hint of respect, leaving Shirogane feeling imnse pressure.

But seeing admiration in Kaguya's eyes, he thought maybe it wasn't so bad.

"Ahem, that's the gist of it."

Though, he hadn't actually managed Hyakkaou's affairs much at all.

Buzz~

Just then, Rinji's phone rang.

The caller ID showed an unfamiliar number. He stepped outside the council room to take the call.

About five minutes later, Rinji returned.

"President, Momobami just called ."

"Huh?"

"She said that even though you haven't managed Hyakkaou's affairs, you're still technically its student council president." Rinji said. "She suggested that now, with students transferring here, you should claim the funds that belong to you."

"F-funds?"

Shirogane looked completely dumbfounded.

He had no idea that the student council there had such a thing.

"Oh, right. Because Hyakkaou's council ran the whole school, every student had to pay a 'tax' monthly." Rinji explained. "Most of it went to the council president, with the rest split among mbers. Though that system probably doesn't exist anymore, the money collected before is still there."

"Uh… how much?" Shirogane asked.

"Not that much."

"That's a relief…"

"Since collections stopped for a whole sester, the president's share should only be about 300 million yen."

"…How much did you say!!?"

Shirogane was stunned by the number.

Not just him—Fujiwara and Ishigami gaped at Rinji in disbelief, while Iino was already wondering what cri this constituted.

Only Kaguya wasn't overly surprised.

She cared less about the money and more about the fact Shirogane had actually beco Hyakkaou's president.

"300 million yen…" Kaguya frowned. "Hyakkaou's already that run-down?"

"Of course. I ran an anti-gambling campaign there for a month, and tons of students left. It's nothing like before."

"But still, there should be more left than that."

"An entire sester without paynts makes a big difference."

Listening to Rinji and Kaguya discuss, Shirogane could only sigh at how he couldn't even comprehend the world of the wealthy.

"By the way, President, do you have the transfer student list?"

"Huh? Oh, yes."

Shirogane pulled out a few pages from his drawer.

"Do you need it, Rinji?"

"I'll at least check who they are. If it's those pathological gamblers, we can shut them down at the agreent stage."

Rinji already had a few notorious gamblers in mind.

For example, Jabami Yuko.

He skimd the list.

Three nas: Munyuda Kaede, Nureba Aya, and Tsubomi Nanami.

All of them had been mbers of the Anti-Gambling Club Rinji founded.

"President, these three are fine. They've already been rehabilitated."

"Good. That's reassuring."

Shirogane put the list away, though he now had to figure out how to refuse that 300 million yen.

anwhile, Rinji pulled up Kaede's number from his phone and stepped outside to call him.

The call connected quickly.

"Hello? President."

"I'm not president anymore," Rinji replied. "Why did you suddenly decide to transfer to Shuchiin?"

"Eh? I told you before I wanted to transfer, didn't I? And you agreed."

"…Oh, that's right."

Rinji rembered that during Hyakkaou's election, Kaede had ntioned it.

"My father didn't agree before. He thought leaving Hyakkaou was cowardly. But lately, for so reason, he suddenly relented and even praised for my decision."

"That's odd."

Rinji didn't think it had anything to do with him, since aside from a select few, no one knew about his connection with IW.

"It seems the reason lies with President Shirogane," Kaede said. "So high-ranking people in Japan seem to have started paying attention to him."
