That evening, Kaguya sought out Hayasaka to vent.
If it were the usual kind of complaints, Hayasaka would have already been used to it. After all, back when she served as Kaguya's personal attendant, she spent at least two hours a day listening to her young lady's rants.
But this ti, Kaguya was using Rinji's body to complain.
Rinji's facial expressions had noticeably beco more animated after Kaguya took over.

Kaguya was currently using Rinji's body. That expression on Rinji's face actually looked kinda cute.

After all, Karura was Rinji's official girlfriend. Hayasaka had stepped in as the third party.
"Hmph. Looks like your charm isn't enough, Hayasaka." Kaguya grinned. "The one who always says 'beauty is a weapon' has finally stumbled."

Kaguya clutched her head, eyes tearing up as she looked at Hayasaka.
In Hayasaka's hand was the black paper fan she'd received from Kana.
"So it really does hurt."
"Why did you hit !?"
"Just wanted to test whether this thing I got this morning actually works on Rinji."
"Then why didn't you test it when we were swapping bodies!?"
"Because I couldn't bring myself to hit Rinji."
"So you can bring yourself to hit !?"
"Don't be ridiculous. Kaguya-sama, your body isn't even here. Technically speaking, I didn't hit you."

It was very quiet with no pedestrians around. Rinji, using Kaguya's body, leaned against the wall smoking. In front of him were several n in black who looked like trouble, and two n kneeling on the ground, blindfolded and gagged.
"So it was you two who leaked my information to the main family."
Rinji flicked the cigarette to the ground and stomped it out, speaking to them calmly.
"I, Shinomiya Kaguya, treated you well. Never thought you'd beco traitors. Did you really think your little tricks wouldn't be noticed?"
"Mmmph mmmph..."
The two n struggled, but with their mouths gagged, all they could do was make muffled noises.
Once they heard 'Kaguya's' voice, their hearts sank.
They were indeed spies sent by the main family or Kaguya's brothers, tasked with reporting her daily life in detail.
Even Hayasaka had once been ordered by Shinomiya Oko to monitor Kaguya. Having multiple informants helped ensure the reports were thorough and provided a safeguard against betrayal.
"You may not have done anything outrageous, but I'm afraid this is where it ends," Rinji said flatly. "I'll write a resignation letter on your behalf. Your families will be compensated. Rest in peace."

Sensing the murderous tone, the two began struggling even harder.

At Rinji's command, the man in black nodded, pulled out a silenced pistol, and aid at one of the n.

The struggling stopped instantly. The man collapsed on the ground.
Realizing the person beside him had been killed, the remaining man sohow mustered the strength to wriggle the cloth off his mouth.
As soon as it ca loose, he scread, "Miss Shinomiya, please don't kill ! I have valuable intel for you!!"
"Hmm?"
Hearing that, Rinji raised a hand, signaling the man in black to stop.
He stared blankly at the man and smiled. "What kind of intel?"
"I-it's true... besides us, there's another spy. Soone very close to you."
"Oh? Who?"
"Your attendant, Ha—"

Before he could finish, he collapsed into a pool of blood, eyes wide.
The last thing he saw was 'Kaguya's' cold stare and raised gun.
"You don't know what you should, and you know what you shouldn't. Letting you live would make an idiot."
