“The list is here,” Shi Liming said as he brought out a list for Pan Mingyue. “I’ve chosen a hundred. You can filter out the rest.”
It was a long list. The first column was the na and the subsequent columns were statistics of their abilities. The ones in this list were mostly rated “B” and better.
The last column even had a background check.
The function of the background check was to prevent spies from sneaking in—the first district was a huge place and was the target of many international forces. The second function was to balance out the influence of the different families in the capital.
Even though Shi Liming was like a God of War in the military, he didn’t have the permission to check on such things. Only Pan Mingyue was capable of that.
Lu Zhaoying took a look at it. There were two mbers from the Lu family on the list, but he wasn’t sure if they would be selected.
Pan Mingyue then pulled out another chart with everyone’s information. They eliminated one person from the list.
Now she would have to select thirty-six from the remaining ninety-nine.
Lu Zhaoying and Shi Liming didn’t dare to disturb her while she examined the list and just stared at her.
Then, his phone rang. It was a ssage from Cheng Juan. He asked Lu Zhaoying to fetch Cheng Ziyu from Beijing University after he was done.
Lu Zhaoying was confused and asked Shi Liming, “Were you guys babysitting the brat at the Cheng family yesterday?”
Shi Liming replied, “No, I wasn’t.”
“Master Juan said that he’s going to the Cheng family. Weren’t you, Cheng Mu, and Sister Cheng there?”

Shi Liming was chatting with soone at this mont, and a lady in casual clothes was standing next to him.

The officer greeted Shi Liming smilingly. “Captain Shi, this is Mr. Lu. He had heard of you and wanted to et you for the longest ti.”
