Ch: 140 [Luke]
As the blast door crumbled under Jessica's powerful punch, she stepped through the debris and entered the room, her eyes scanning her surroundings. To her surprise, she found herself face to face with Luke Cage, a person she once considered a close friend and ally.
But this was not the Luke Cage she rembered. His body had been subjected to the AMO's twisted experints, grafting machines, and advanced weaponry onto him. His once unbreakable skin now appeared covered in a tallic sheen, and his eyes glowed with an unnatural light, a clear indication of his brainwashing.
Jessica's heart sank as she realized the gravity of the situation. Her mind raced, rembering their last encounter when they were raiding the AMOs at the docks. The gas grenade that had incapacitated her had also affected Luke, leaving her with no mory of what had transpired afterward.
"Luke... what have they done to you?" Jessica's voice trembled with a mix of sadness and determination.
Luke Cage, now under the influence of the AMO's brainwashing, stared at Jessica with an eerie calmness. His deep voice resonated through the room, "Jessica Jones, you are no longer a threat to AMO. Stand down and join us, or face the consequences."
Jessica's eyes darted between Luke and her teammates, Blink and Ophelia. Ti was running out, and they needed to act quickly to neutralize Luke and find a way to escape the facility. She couldn't afford to hesitate, even if it ant confronting her brainwashed friend.
"Luke, snap out of it!" Jessica called out, her voice filled with a mix of concern and determination. "We're here to stop AMO, not join them. We can help you break free from their control."
Blink, her teal energy crackling around her, stepped forward, her expression resolute. "Jessica's right, Luke. We can find a way to free you from their influence. You don't have to be their pawn."
Luke Cage remained stoic, his tallic skin reflecting the dim light in the room. "Luke can not hear you, fools. Now, since you lots destroyed our precious operation base, it's only fair that you three go down along with this base. Oh, and don't even bother trying to get out because, with our new system online, this entire area has now beco mutant-proof. None can go out or co in anymore. Welco to AMO's Phase 2."
[Initiating Self-Destruct]
[T-5 minutes]
As the self-destruct sequence was initiated, the team knew they had no ti to waste. They couldn't afford to hold back or try to reason with Luke Cage, who was now a formidable adversary under AMO's control. With a shared sense of urgency, Jessica, Blink, and Ophelia prepared to engage in a fierce battle against their brainwashed friend.
"Fuck! No ti to waste, let's just knock him out and figure out the rest later," Ophelia said summoning her pink energy.
"Blink, support ," Jessica charged toward Luke.
Jessica took the lead, her superhuman strength and agility driving her forward. She lunged at Luke with lightning-fast speed, delivering a powerful punch aid at disorienting him. However, Luke's tallic skin proved to be a formidable defense as her fist rebounded off his reinforced body.
Not one to be deterred, Jessica imdiately followed up with a barrage of quick and precise strikes, targeting vulnerable areas such as joints and exposed machinery. Her punches and kicks landed with remarkable force, but each blow seed to have little effect on Luke.
"It's useless, Jessica," Luke easily endured everything, and Jessica stumbled back from the recoil after hitting his enhanced body, he charged toward her, trying to tackle her down.
Blink, her teal energy swirling around her utilized her teleportation abilities to her advantage, "Got ya!" She teleported Luke to a nearby pillar.
Jessica quickly recovered from the impact.
"Damn you, kid!" Ophelia constructed a giant hamr and smashed it on Luke's head, "Just stay down. I don't want to kill you."
Luke countered the hamr with his punch, shattering it to pieces, "A useless struggle..." Two laser guns popped out from the chanical grafting on his shoulders.
As the laser guns erged from Luke's chanical grafting, he aid them at Jessica and Ophelia, unleashing a barrage of energy projectiles. The powerful beams cut through the air with deadly precision, forcing Jessica and Ophelia to evade and take cover.
Blink used her portal to redirect those laser beams back at Luke, "You can have it back."
Blink's quick thinking allowed her to redirect the laser beams back at Luke, catching him off guard. The energy projectiles struck his tallic body, causing sparks to fly and montarily disrupting his aim.
Seizing the opportunity, Jessica charged forward once again, her determination burning bright. She unleashed a series of powerful punches and kicks, combining her superhuman strength with her combat skills. Each strike landed with precision and force, gradually wearing down Luke's defenses.
"You're stronger than this, Luke!" Jessica shouted, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and conviction. "Fight back against their control!"
Luke's response was a powerful swipe of his chanical arm, narrowly missing Jessica as she agilely dodged the attack. The force behind his strike sent shockwaves through the air, causing debris to scatter across the room.
Ophelia, her pink Lantern energy radiating around her, repositioned herself for a strategic advantage. She unleashed a barrage of energy blasts, targeting Luke's exposed machinery and attempting to disrupt his systems. Her attacks were precise and calculated, aiming to weaken his hold over his own body.
[Self-destruct in T-3 minutes]
"He is hard as hell! And we ain't got any ti. Get back Jessica," Ophelia took off her Pink lantern's ring, removing her transformation. The pink energy disappeared with a flicker.
Jessica leaped back, dodging Luke's grapple.
"I didn't want to reveal this side of mine since it's not beautiful," Ophelia said as she used her body modification power to buff up, "Luckily, I wore my magic clothes today, or else I would have to fight you brat naked. Well... Ti to go to sleep, kid."
As Ophelia's body underwent a remarkable transformation, her muscles bulged, and her size increased significantly. Her appearance now resembled a hulking powerhouse, radiating raw strength and power.
Luke Cage's eyes widened in surprise as he faced the formidable opponent before him. "What the... who are you?" he muttered, montarily taken aback by Ophelia's sudden transformation.
"I'm soone who is going to beat the shit out of you," Ophelia growled, her voice now deeper and more resonant. "Ti to put an end to this."
With her newfound strength, Ophelia charged at Luke, her massive fists clenched tightly. She delivered a bone-crushing punch, aiming to incapacitate him and break free from AMO's control. Her strike connected with Luke's reinforced body, sending shockwaves through the air.
Luke staggered under the force of Ophelia's blow, his tallic skin showing signs of denting and damage. However, his resilience remained steadfast as he quickly recovered, retaliating with a powerful counterattack.
"This isn't enough to keep
down," Luke yelled as his arms transford into two glowing laser blades, "Ti to slice you up to proper size."
"You are so rude, brat," Ophelia slamd her giant fist on Luke's head, "Rude brats must be punished."
Luke tried to dodge but the damage he received earlier was too much. The enhanced machines on his body cracked. Without any choice, he raised his laser blades, trying to slice apart Ophelia's arms, but alas it was useless against her.
As Luke's laser blades clashed against Ophelia's unyielding strength, the room filled with sparks and the sound of tal eting tal. The two adversaries engaged in a fierce battle, each determined to overpower the other.
"You think those puny blades can hurt ?" Ophelia sneered, her voice laced with confidence.
Luke growled in frustration, his eyes blazing with an unnatural intensity. "You underestimate the power of AMO's enhancents. I am stronger, faster, and more durable than ever before!"
"Blah... blah... Good Night..." Ophelia crushed Luke on the floor, crushing his bones, barely keeping him alive, "Grab onto ..."
[...T-20 seconds]
With ti rapidly running out, Jessica, Blink, and Ophelia knew they had to escape before the facility self-destructed. Despite their intense battle with Luke Cage, they couldn't leave him behind. Ophelia's massive form lifted Luke, holding him tightly as she shouted for her teammates to grab onto her.
"Jessica, Blink, hold on! We're getting out of here!" Ophelia's voice bood through the room, her imnse strength allowing her to carry both Luke and her allies.
Jessica and Blink quickly seized the opportunity, grabbing onto Ophelia's massive form. With a burst of energy, Ophelia propelled herself upwards.
As the team soared through the air, debris and flas trailing behind them, they maneuvered their way through the crumbling facility. Ophelia's strength and durability provided a shield of protection for her teammates as they navigated the chaotic environnt.
"Keep it together, everyone! We're almost out!" Jessica shouted, her voice filled with urgency.
Blink used her teleportation powers to create portals, clearing a path through the wreckage. They moved swiftly, dodging falling debris and avoiding pockets of intense heat. The countdown to self-destruction continued to tick away, each passing second heightening the tension.
Finally, the team burst through the last barrier, finding themselves outside the collapsing facility. Blink quickly created a portal in the air, teleporting everyone to the ground.
The AMO facility went up in flas.
