I was running toward the inner island, the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I prepared to confront the threat that had dared to target Alana. If I am not wrong, they want to silence her just like Willo's mother or maybe they tried to fra
for her murder. Well, we will know after catching them. Jessica is dashing by my side. With her spider senses, she won't have any problem dealing with the snipers.
With a deep breath, I activated my Blood Vision, my eyes scanning the area for any traces of the enemy. My enhanced senses picked up faint signals of weapons, leading my gaze towards the distant snipers hidden within the island. There were four of them. A smirk ford on my lips as I locked onto their locations, "Jess..."
"Yeah, I can sense them. Don't kill them like the last ti," Jessica said while swiftly dashing beside .
"I will try," I replied.
[Bang!] [Bang!] They started to shoot at us, but it seems they were using suppressors to muffle the sounds of the gun.
Bullets whizzed past, grazing the air dangerously close to our bodies. I utilized my agility, weaving through the onslaught with precise movents, while Jessica utilized her spider-like reflexes, gracefully evading each projectile with her acrobatic prowess.
With a focused determination, I utilized my enhanced speed to my advantage. As the bullets approached, ti seed to slow down. I moved with unnatural speed, sidestepping the projectiles with milliter precision. The bullets grazed past , their montum disrupted by my supernatural swiftness. Although I don't need to dodge them, I can't get arrogant. Who knows what kind of superpower they are hiding?
anwhile, Jessica's spider senses guided her, warning her of incoming danger. She leaped and flipped through the air, her body contorting in impossible ways to avoid the onslaught. Her reflexes were unmatched, allowing her to dodge bullets as if she could predict their path.
"These bastards are trying to kill us," Jessica yelled while dodging.
"You tell ..." I replied with a grin, "You still want
to not kill them? Because I really want to rip their heads out."
"Just knock them out or break their bones," Jessica yelled.
"Yes, Ma'am," I said as I used Shadow Dasher. With lightning speed, I closed the distance between myself and one of the assassins.
"Fuck!" The assassin stumbled back throwing his rifle at
as he took out two micro uzis.
In an instant, I blinked behind him and hit his neck with a little chop. With a cracking sound, his neck snapped. His head dangling like a yo-yo. He went limp, "Yeah, fuck!"
As he fell forward, the assassin behind him raised his handgun and pulled the trigger, "Die! Fucking monster!"
Bullets were useless against my defense. I grabbed the gun's muzzle and crushed it like a paper roll and crushed his knees.
[Crunnchh!] "AAAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!"
He fell on his back, screaming like a maniac.
Humm... My new tuxedo! Full of bullet holes!
[Booom!] The assassin threw a ball of fla at . But a weak attack like this won't do any damage to .
"Did you just destroy my tuxedo?" I said angrily as I took a step forward. My clothes were in ashes, thankfully, I saved my pants, or else... Anyway, the assassin... I can't see his face due to the mask, but I can imagine the face he is about to make in a mont. I raised my leg and was about to stomp his hands, but Jess stopped .
"Don't," Jess grabbed my shoulder.
"What? You told
I can break their bones," I replied.
"Yeah, but you ended up killing one," Jess pointed at the assassin with a broken neck, lying behind us.
"Anyway, they are too weak to be professional killers," I said.
"Agreed," Jess replied as she knocked him out and bind him in her webs, "I have contracted the nearby Avengers base. They should be here within twenty minutes."
[Zing!!!] A silver bullet flew past my cheek from behind toward Jess. I didn't even sense it! I am sure Weapon Master and Blood Vision are still active. I tried to catch the bullet, but I couldn't touch it. A shiver ran down my spine. It was as if the bullet itself possessed so ethereal quality, evading my grasp. I had encountered similar abilities before, most notably with Harley, whose ghost-like powers allowed her to manipulate matter.
In that split second, my instincts took over, propelling
into action. I lunged forward, pushing Jessica out of harm's way. The bullet's speed was remarkable, but what surprised
more was the realization that I couldn't touch it.
The silver bullet found its mark in a nearby tree, embedding itself deeply within the trunk. The force of its impact caused the tree to shudder, leaves rustling in response. I knew then that this battle had taken an unexpected turn. Our enemies possessed more than just camouflage and bullets; they are high-class assassins awakeners. It seems whoever shot it must have analyzed my power. If so, then they will target Jess to get
riled up and force
to make a mistake.
Wait! If the bullet can pass through my hand and if I take that the person controlling it has full control... Then what if this fucker stops his skill as soon as the bullet enters my body!?
"What the fuck was that?" Jess's eyes were on the tree with a burning bullet hole, "My senses! I couldn't sense anything..."
" too. Humm..." This sll... A woman! It's like she is all over the place. I can't pinpoint her position.
"You think you have figured out my abilities. Well, call
impressed. You even saw through my new face, but are you sure you have it all figured out?" I yelled with a smirk.
Thanks to my training in the Mutant Academy, I have gained extre control over my Dracul's Aura. I just need Jess out of the way to unleash my power or else she will get caught in the imnse Aura.
"Yes," A woman's voice ca from sowhere around us. It was as if her voice was echoing through the space, "I have analyzed all your abilities and have co prepared to kill you tonight."
Well, at least she is honest.
"Get out of here. Go back to Mom. This bitch ca for ," I said turning toward Jess.
"But..." Jess tried to say no, but...
"GO!" I yelled.
"Be careful," Jess webbed through the trees and rocks and left the area while dragging the unconscious assassins. Surprisingly, that unknown woman assassin didn't even try to stop her. This can an only one thing, those unconscious bastards don't know anything about anything. Hired rcenaries, I guess.
...
I focused my energy, channeling it into a crimson aura that enveloped my body. The air crackled with anticipation as my aura expanded, its fiery tendrils extending outward like unbreakable strings, covering approx 300 ters around .
*Blood Aura*
The once invisible assassin, shrouded in her camouflage, was now forced to reveal herself under the influence of the domination effect of my aura. She erged with grace and agility, clad in a sleek white skin-tight armor that accentuated her every move. Her short hair frad her face, partially obscured by a white mask, leaving only her piercing eyes visible. It was clear she was no ordinary adversary.
"So interesting power you got there, kid. So, you used these strings to destroy his house," The assassin said as she pointed her gun toward .
"Huh?!" I am confused. So, she isn't related to Alica or Willo in any way. It seems my uncle has found out about my little visit, "So... What are you gonna do about it?"
"Isn't it obvious?" The assassin once again disappeared before my eyes, "I am going to bury you here."
