Titus II
Before anything, Titus first decided to see what sort of Stat increases his nurous titles granted him.
Soul Forger: 5% Willpower, 10% weapon durability, Ambrosia regeneration 15%
Indomitable: 10% Endurance, 10% Willpower, ntal resistance boost
Little King: 5% to all stats, enhanced Presence effect in leadership roles
Tenacious Student: 15% to skill mastery speed, minor stat scaling boost under duress
Legendary Prodigy: 10% Agility, 10% Intelligence, latent talent resonance
Titus felt his brows rise as he read the stats, these were quite generous.
From their descriptions, he could guess what he did to get each Title. Soul Forger was self explanatory, but the increase in Willpower threw him off a bit. Did using his soul forge have anything to do with his Willpower?
'I an. It makes sense... right? Or am I in over my head? Still it does make sense that a Stat woukd do more than just buff up my ntal defenses, maybe it increases my ntal faculties as well, but then what's the point of intelligence? Right Mana. Or am I just dumb?' He thought so more, but then the system ca to his rescue.
[Willpower as a Stat dictates your ability to influence the world around you.] Titus snapped his fingers
"So like the Authority master talked about!" He exclaid.
[Affirmative. However, the Willpower you possess is a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of a tenth of a fraction compared to his.] Titus' enthusiasm deflated.
"You didn't need to spell it out so blatantly..." He mumbled likena petulant child, but he quickly shook off the feeling.
He HAD noticed his sudden ability to subtly affect the world behind him.
It was a bit difficult, at first, but that's why he had a Master. He found out that he could shape his will and enforce it on the world around him to generate a certain effect.
He'd been practicing this specific ability, one example was when he was sparring with his brother Hank. His ability to give his body the properties of any weapon he chooses had received an explosive upgrade after the last enhancent from the Primordial Expanse, so not only could he give himself the properties of weapons, he could TURN himself into any weapon he chooses as long as he understands how it works and the rank of it isn't too far above his level.
As such, even Titus was having a hard ti breaking through his defenses whenever he turned his arm into a shield that could withstand Apex rank attacks.
That's when he decided to try and use his Willpower and 'willed' Veylthar to be capable of cutting through Apex rank materials.
The result had been incredible, to say the least, as he sliced right through the shield and pierced his brother's shoulder.
He'd asked Christopher why he suddenly had the ability to do sothing like this, and Christopher tied it into the fact that transcending ans the world passively aids you in whatever you do.
If one doubled down on that fact, they'd find out that they could change the passive assistance to active assistance, and make the world around them aid them according to their desires.
That's how Willpower and authority worked, and the highest forms of authority one could obtain was that of an Arbiter.
After recalling all this information, Titus suddenly found his high Willpower Stat to be extrely appealing.
'Still, that doesn't explain what it has to do with my Soul Forge.' He humd.
[Ambrosia is ford when your Souk Firge passively takes in the surrounding reality, and breaks it down into a single, pure substance that is Creation Nor Void energy, and feeds it into items, thereby enhancing them. The higher your Willpower, the faster and easier this process becos.] The system explained.
"That's for that." Titus said appreciative.
[It is my duty to assist you.] The system replied humbly.
Moving away from that, Titus focused on his next Title that was Indomitable.
Once more, the na was self explanatory, and Titus found the increase in Endurance and Willpower more than welco. A 15% increase was a lot more than he'd have imagined.
As for how he got the title, he thought about he previous feats and anything he could have done to earn it. A few situations stuck out, but the one that stood out the most had to be his battle against the Lenax clone.
He hadn't done it alone, and a lot of planning on Aisha's part had gone into its fulfillnt, but that didn't change the fact that he had contributed imnsely, even landing the final hit to kill the clone.
'Though, sothing tells fightingba clone at 60% his power won't end well for .' He chuckled before moving on.
Next was little king, and this one really confused him. Did he get it due to being a good leader? That would explain the Silver ranked achievent he got. But sohow he doubted it.
[The Little King title was attained simply for the virtue of being the direct Disciple of the Master. It is an astounding feat, considering that of all the talented individuals within the Primordial Expanse, he chose you to be his Disciple. Moreover, your constant proximity to him has caused him to 'rub off you', so to speak. Making your presence contain faint traces of his, which is why you get an enhanced Presence in leadership roles.] This explanation truly startled him.
But when he thought about it, it made sense. The Primordial Expanse was a place that was constantly upgrading itself with its inhabitants. That didn't just an their strength, but also their potential. With the number of inhabitants, there were bound to be so people who were nothing short of extraordinary, yet of all of them, Christopher had picked Titus.
The idea made Titus feel warm and pressured. Warm because he was deed worthy, and pressured because he suddenly realized just how lucky he was. Who knows? Maybe there is soone within the Expanse working hard to reach his position. He suddenly realized that he couldn't be complacent at all
But the idea that simply being in close proximity to Christopher caused traces of his Aura to mix with Titus', automatically deepening his presence, was certainly an interesting developnt, and Tutus wondered what it was like for his main subordinates who were with him most of the ti. Just how much of his Aura had mingled with theirs?
Anyway, the 5% to all his stats was certainly a welco bonus. That also ant he now had a total of 20% additional stats to his Willpower and 15% to his endurance. Which was more than welco.
Then ca the Tenacious Student Title. He assud he got it due to handling the heavy assignnts Christopher usually gave him, the most recent of which being his leadership of an entire Battalion of the Genesis Corps. But the perk it gave was interesting.
Skill Mastery wasn't a Stat, but it was an option available under System Paths. Sothing told him that if he went for that, with this title, the gains would be a lot more. But he hadn't decided just yet.
Lastly, there was the Legendary Prodigy Title. A small part of Titus wanted to say it was corny, but as soone who was barely an adult, Legendary and Prodigy in the sa sentence used for him made him feel good in a childish way he wouldn't admit.
But the stats he got confused him a bit. If he was being honest, he felt like the 5% in all stats woukd have been more fitting here than under Little King, so Agility and Intelligence being the stats that were upgraded threw him for a bit of a loop.
But what was more was what ca after.
'Latent talent resonance? What does that an?'
The system quickly gave him an answer.
[The Stat bonuses received are tied to your combat style. You focus on skill augnted by magic rather than magic augnted by skill. Hence, your Agility which is very important in your skill and intelligence has received a boost.
Moreover. The Latent talent resonance slightly ties into your Physique that gives you perfect muscle mory. You can learn and adapt to abstract or high-concept techniques naturally. For instance, say you witness a high-speed sword technique that manipulates space. Your body will subconsciously analyze it, and if you train that sword technique, you will progress in it exponentially faster than normal.
Think of it as a "Prodigy filter" where high-end skills and techniques naturally sync with your existence when you try to learn them.]
When the system finished, Titus was frozen fir a few seconds as he replayed the information in his mind, then he started laughing boisterously.
"Was this your intention, Master? Because I must say, it's very well thought out." He said to himself, but was certain Christopher heard him.
When he cald down, he sighed.
And without further ado, he picked the Skill Mastery path.
