Evolution Theories
Without wasting too much ti, Christopher returned to the Primordial Expanse.
When he did, he was t with the sight of three celestial bodies orbiting a moon that was equal parts black and white. He spent a mont looking over everything, that made up this place. The way they all occupied the space that made up his Dinsion and how they interacted.
Even though he couldn't see them directly, he sensed every living being within the Dinsion and exhaled.
"We're doing it again huh?" He thought to himself and stretched a bit before folding his arms and teleporting to the Haven of the Enlightened. Imdiately he appeared on the tallest building, Aisha who was already there turned to him with an impassive look on her face. It was a facade as Christopher could sense her excitent, but he didn't call her out on it.
"We're doing it again?" She asked with barely contained excitent and Christopher just smiled.
"Yeah, but first of all, I need to do sothing first. Tell the others to break through to the Apex rank in the anti." As he said that, he sat down cross-legged and spread his awareness throughout the entire Dinsion.
A mont later, he used Annihilation Insight.
To his surprise, where he was expecting to see all sorts of weaknesses lining every inch of the Dinsion, he saw very few of the cracks that represented weaknesses and most of them were on the various life forms within the dinsion.
He felt a bit relieved as he knew those would be rectified when the Dinsion upgraded again.
'I'm surprised, I expected there to be a lot more weaknesses. Hm.' He mused, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. The system was focused on improving things, after all, it was only natural there would be few things that could be exploited.
'There's that thing though.' Christopher humd and looked up. Visible only to him, there was a thin but extrely long crack that stretched for the entirety of the Dinsion.
It might not seem too bad at first, but when Christopher focused on it, he realized that this was the source of many minuscule but equally nurous cracks that went through the Dinsion, removing his previous conclusion. However, he sohow sensed that the crack wasn't normal, and true to his thoughts, the system suddenly explained.
[The system is focused on enhancing things. For sothing to be enhanced, there needs to be an area that is lacking. In short, it has to be capable of growing before it can be enhanced. In this case, that crack is a self-introduced feature of the system. Essentially, it makes it so that everyone always has a minute weakness here and there. After all, if sothing was perfect, then there would be nothing else to enhance it. In short, it's ant to ensure the ceiling of everyone and everything within the Dinsion has sowhere they can improve.] When he heard this, Christopher paused for a mont, then his gaze turned slightly sharp.
'So you are intentionally introducing weaknesses into everyone just to make sure they can still grow?' He asked sharply, unlike his usual calm tone, he didn't sound very happy right now.
[Incorrect. The weaknesses are already there, to be more precise, the System is rely making it so that these virtually inconsequential weaknesses aren't completely removed from the body to ensure that there is still an avenue that can be improved upon.] Hearing this, Christopher took a deep breath.
'So what if these 'inconsequential' weaknesses were discovered and exploited by an enemy which led to one of the inhabitants of this place or myself dying?' He asked flatly and the Systan answered instantly.
[They are deed inconsequential because exploiting them at the sa level is virtually impossible. Even if they were discovered, it would beco a minor annoyance at most. Nothing worth worrying over.] Hearing this, Christopher didn't feel satisfied at all, but he also couldn't deny the validity of the System's words. If there was no route to improve, then improvent couldn't take place.
Then he noticed sothing.
'Hold on. You said 'Exploiting them at the sa levels is virtually impossible'. What does that an?' He asked.
[Essentially, it's only a weakness in the eyes of entities much stronger than you. To elaborate, if two ants were fighting and one of the ants had a slight scratch on its carapace, that could be considered a bit of a weakness. But not sothing that could be exploited, at least not easily. However, if a being cos and steps on both ants, they die. But was that because of the weaknesses they had on their bodies? No, they were simply outmatched in every category. So it isn't that they had a weakness, they were simply outmatched. That is what I was referring to in your case, it's virtually impossible to exploit any of the weaknesses that are purposefully being kept from being kept from being removed. They are so inconsequential that trying to exploit it at the sa rank of power would be pointless as even if one succeeded, its impact would change nothing. But if a much stronger entity co along, there isn't much you can do about that.] Christopher frowned, but the system continued.
[To clarify: The purpose is not to make you weak. It is to ensure you are never finished. You are not a statue. You are a storm. And storms must always have winds left to rise.] It then lingered before continuing.
[Moreover, this isn't sothing the system is doing alone. It is in fact a fundantal principle that stretches across all realms and dinsions, realities, universes, and so on. In short, the entirety of existence. Even if you wanted to remove such a feature, I can't. Every entity within existence has a flaw one way or the other. Even dragons that are widely recognized throughout existence as 'hacks' can be defeated one way or the other. There is no such thing as 'true perfection'. What I'm saying is that my thod is a lot more controlled than the haphazard thod employed by the rest of existence where the weaknesses are so glaring and certain races and entities have such a disadvantage they go extinct the mont they co into existence while others have such an advantage they seem like insurmountable mountains. In short. There is a sense of 'fairness' in my thods.
Moreover, this phenonon has been tested and observed by various races and was nad the 'Evolution Anchor Theory', but I decided to call mine the 'Progression Seed Protocol.] It finally finished.
Christopher took a mont to grasp everything it had just said, then he snorted.
'You could have explained that way better.' When he said this, the system didn't even reply, he just felt sothing enter his mind, like a sort of ntal folder.
When he decided to open it, he was a bit startled.

A universal principle discovered independently by multiple civilizations, the Evolution Anchor Theory posits that all lifeforms and constructs within existence contain intrinsic flaws, no matter how minuscule. These flaws act as taphysical "anchors"—subtle limitations that prevent a being or object from reaching a state of absolute perfection.

In practice, the anchor might be so insignificant it would be impossible to notice—yet it remains, subtly guiding growth and developnt by making perfection theoretically impossible, but improvent always feasible.

Unlike the naturally chaotic and uneven application of the theory throughout the cosmos, PSP is designed to introduce controlled, minimalistic imperfections—"progression seeds"—into beings and constructs within the System's domain.

Controlled Weakness: Rather than random, potentially fatal flaws, PSP introduces trivial, virtually unexploitable imperfections—present enough to allow continued enhancent, but not enough to beco true vulnerabilities under normal conditions.
Selective Visibility: These imperfections are often beyond the perception of beings at the sa rank or realm, rendering them practically nonexistent in combat unless faced with an overwhelming power gap.
Systemic Fairness: Unlike the natural world where so species are born with crippling disadvantages while others are overpowered by default, PSP applies a form of cosmic fairness—allowing all inhabitants under the System's enhancent to grow with balanced progression opportunities.
Ceiling Expansion: These progression seeds act as taphysical scaffolding, preventing premature perfection and allowing constant ceiling extension through System enhancent.

Addendum: Implication for Arbiter-Class Authorities
As an Arbiter, Christopher's authority allows him to perceive and manipulate these flaws at a conceptual level—an ability that can be weaponized or harmonized. However, it also places him in a unique position: the ability to glimpse beyond what most consider the ceiling... and to see the scaffolding underneath.
Christopher read through it and shuddered.
