Chapter 681: Chapter 168: eting the Lion God
Lu Hong wanted to see the Lionheart God? Gui He didn’t understand, but that didn’t prevent him from carrying out his master’s request.
Clan Leader Chang Xin pushed the door open and entered, “Gui He, where are we going to have fun later?”
“Chang Xin.” Gui He stood up, tucked the letter into his chest, and spoke, “I can’t go shopping with you today. My master just sent a letter, hoping I could help contact the Lionheart God. He wishes to et with your divine ancestor.”
“Ah? My master wants to see our Lionheart ancestor?” Shi Changxin exclaid, “That’s not going to be easy.”
“What do you an?”
Shi Changxin shook her head, “I don’t know, but I feel the divine ancestor won’t et with outsiders. Even we don’t know the current situation of our ancestor. The sacred land is sealed off, and other than the Clan Leader, no one can contact the ancestor.”
“Since it’s my master’s command, I have to try.” Knowing it would be futile to ask Shi Changxin for help, Gui He decided to set his sights on Shi Feiqing.
Accompanied by Shi Changxin, the two arrived at the luxurious residence of the Lionheart royal family.
The Lionheart royal family was already acquainted with this royal son-in-law and did not stop them. While leading them inside, they sent soone to inform the Young Master of the Lionheart family.
It didn’t take long for them to enter the back garden, where Shi Feiqing was indulging in drinks and rrint, with a line of dancers singing and dancing gracefully, clearly enjoying himself.
Shi Feiqing glanced at the two guests and called out, “Brother Gui, you’ve co at the perfect ti. Join in appreciating the latest dance arranged by Xian Xiang Ge.”
“Shi Feiqing, can’t you be more mature?”
Confronted with Shi Changxin’s reproach, Shi Feiqing pouted, “Mind your own business. Am I the Young Master or are you? Mature? Who watched dances as a child? Isn’t it sothing we do when we grow up?”
“I…you…”
Seeing the two were about to co to blows, Gui He quickly intervened, “Alright, alright, let’s all say less.”
“Hmph!”
“Hmph!”
Shi Changxin knew Gui He had serious matters to attend to, so she didn’t pursue the argunt.
Shi Feiqing also gave Gui He face by not saying anything more. He poured a cup of fine wine and passed it to Gui He.
Gui He took the fine wine but didn’t taste it. Instead, he sat down in front of Shi Feiqing, spoke earnestly, “Brother Feiqing, I am here today to ask a favor, hoping you can help.”
“No problem, just say it,” Shi Feiqing assured as he patted his chest.
Seeing Gui He didn’t continue, Shi Feiqing straightened his body, waved his hand, and dismissed the dancing divas, “Brother Gui, have you encountered so major issue?”
“My master wants to et with your royal family’s divine ancestor.”
“et our divine ancestor?” Shi Feiqing’s brow furrowed slightly, “Who is your master? Why haven’t I ever heard you ntion him?”
“He who taught all my blood skills, his na is Lu Hong. This is a matter of urgency. I hope you can relay a ssage to your divine ancestor on my behalf. Whether to et or not is entirely up to your ancestor’s decision.”
“Relay a ssage…” Shi Feiqing tapped his fingers thoughtfully. “It’s not impossible, but…”
Relaying a ssage sounded simple, but the recipient was far from ordinary. Their Heavenly God divine ancestor, whom even he, Shi Feiqing, had only seen twice—no one but the Clan Leader could communicate with the ancestor. Even the Clan Leader was not allowed to casually use the communication technique granted by the ancestor, lest they disturb him.
If this ssage was handled well, it might be fine, but if it displeased the divine ancestor, the consequences would be severe.
Seeing Shi Feiqing hesitating, Shi Changxin chid in from the side, “It’s just passing a ssage, right? Can’t you just help out or not? If not, I’ll find soone else.”
Shi Feiqing glanced at Shi Changxin, “Besides my father, who else could you find to help?” Ever since he had given up the idea of marrying her, Shi Feiqing’s perspective on Shi Changxin drastically changed. She now seed to him like a dimwit, only redeemable for her looks and a modicum of strength; he wondered what he ever saw in her in the first place.
Shi Changxin was about to retort but was stopped by Gui He. However, Gui He did not speak; he simply waited quietly for Shi Feiqing’s response.
Surprisingly, this silent strategy worked quite well. If Gui He had spoken, Shi Feiqing might have refused outright. But, facing the quiet, he found himself at a loss for how to refuse, so he finally said, “Alright then, wait for a few days. I’ll send soone to relay the ssage back ho, but this decision is not mine to make. Ultimately, it has to go through my father.”
Seeing that Shi Feiqing agreed, Gui He thanked him with a bow of his hands, “Thank you, brother Feiqing, for your assistance.”
“Don’t ntion it. Don’t leave tonight, let’s have a good drink together.”
To seek soone’s help, one has to show genuine goodwill. Gui He nodded with a smile, “Alright.”
The news that Lu Hong wanted to et the Lionheart God was quickly relayed through special channels to the ears of the current Clan Leader of the Lionheart royal family.
Watching the letter his son had sent, the Clan Leader found himself quite conflicted.
His son had never complained to the family or asked for help since he left ho years ago, and this was the first ti he had asked for assistance. As a father, he should render full support, but damn, this was a tricky situation!
Helping an outsider et their ancestral deity was a risk he would have to assu as a father.
After much deliberation, he decided to give it a try; if the Lionheart God refused the eting, no one could bla him.
Without hesitation, Lionheart Clan Leader strode to the sacred ground of the Lionheart Royal Clan, knelt, and initiated the Secret Technique. He called out, “The Eighty-Seventh Clan Leader of the Royal Clan, Shi Motong, seeks an audience with the Heavenly God!”
After a long wait, a deep response echoed in his ear: “Motong, what do you seek from ?”
“Bowing before the Ancestor, there is a human nad Lu Hong who wishes to et you!”
“Lu Hong?”
After repeating the na silently, the Lionheart God gave no further response.
Shi Motong, lying prostrate and waiting, beca incredibly anxious. Dammit, he knew the Ancestor wouldn’t recognize this damn human, and he might even be punished for it.
After a lengthy pause, the old deity of the Lionheart Royal Clan finally said, “I understand. You may go.”
Huh? He wasn’t going to punish him?
Just as Shi Motong was feeling relieved, a shadowy figure swept out from the sacred land and vanished into the sky.
“Ancestor?!” Shi Motong was dumbfounded; the Ancestor had actually ended his ditation early for a human?
The event of Lionheart God coming out of seclusion attracted much attention, but unfortunately, his whereabouts remained concealed, and no one knew where he went.
Lu Hong returned to Beixing Mountain, where he arranged the construction of the new Xiao Clan hostead and waited for the response from Gui He.
Conservatively estimated, the ssage delivery would take at least half a year to begin.
As night fell, Lu Hong tossed and turned, his mind too restless to sleep or ditate; he decided to go to the mountain peak and practice his swordplay instead.
Not long into his training, Lu Hong sensed soone nearby. Turning his head, he saw, under the moonlight, a figure in a black cloak with a masked face within his field of vision.
“May I ask who you are?” Lu Hong asked.
“The one you seek to et.”
“The one I wish to et?” Lu Hong was taken aback, then blurted out, “Are you the Lionheart God?!”
“Correct.” The figure removed the cloak, revealing a mane of gold.
Lu Hong had thought he would have to travel deep into the beast clan’s territory to see the Lionheart God, and yet, surprisingly, the deity had co to him.
“Young Lu Hong pays his respects to the Lionheart God!” Facing one of the most powerful Heavenly Gods from the Era of the Gods, Lu Hong held imnse admiration and hastily bowed in salute.
“There’s no need for formalities. You’ve sought to see , what for?”
“I have many questions I would like to ask Your Honour.”
The Lionheart God raised a finger: “I am aware you have many questions, but I plan to answer only one. Think carefully before asking.”
Only one question?
Lu Hong offered no complaints; the re fact that the deity had co to answer his question was already an imnse honor.
He needed to consider this question carefully.
The Lionheart God’s personal appearance indicated the importance he placed on Lu Hong and indirectly confird that the Lionheart God knew the secret of his transmigration; otherwise, he would never have co to et him.
Thus, the core question to ask was about the impact of his transmigration.
After much thought, Lu Hong decided on his question and asked: “May I inquire, Lionheart God, what impact my transmigration might have?”
The Lionheart God smiled faintly: “You ask a critical question, but knowing the answer will benefit you not at all and would instead bring you endless sorrow. Are you sure you wish to know?”
“I am certain!”
