383: Chapter 139 The Dawn Church 383: Chapter 139 The Dawn Church Far across the Star Sea, Lion King Tai’e was strolling through the imperial garden, accompanied by a fox official who was reporting the political affairs of the Beastman Empire.

Seemingly losing patience, Tai’e waved his hand, and the fox official bowed and slowly retreated.

In the vast garden, there was only the Lion King.

As the Beastman Empire’s top powerhouse, he needed no guard, nor could anyone protect him.

Naturally, the guards at the Beastn Palace were few, almost invisible.

Tai’e was in a foul mood because in the morning, his undercover agent had brought back a piece of crucial intelligence.

Through continuous investigation, they finally found so clues regarding the forces hunting the Tower Master.

These people were from a mysterious organization called the Dawn Church.

“Dawn Church…” There was no origin of this church beyond the star realm, an organization without a trace of origin, yet it possessed a large number of top powerhouses.

This was a very unsettling matter.

The Snowy Region and the Sacred Empire were busy dealing with the sea tribe, and probably didn’t have the ti to investigate this mysterious organization.

Hence, currently, only the Lion King held first-hand information.

This information was not simple, and Tai’e did not wish to conceal it, pondering whether to send soone to the Sacred Empire and the Snowy Region, at least to let them understand that beneath the Star Sea lay a colossal entity, eyeing them covetously.

According to the data, the earliest appearance of this church was on none other than the Continent of God’s Grace itself!

“Right under their noses!” Tai’e muttered, then said, “You are quite bold to dare to cause trouble in my territory?”

“Whoosh…whoosh…” Accompanied by a strange laugh, two dark shadows arrived with the wind, one in front and one behind, blocking the Lion King’s path.

Tai’e raised an eyebrow, “People from the Dawn Church?”

“Lord Lion King, I hope you won’t be too curious.

This isn’t favorable for your Beastman Empire,” one of the black-clothed n said, “I hope you can stop investigating the Dawn Church and keep this secret.”

“Oh?” Tai’e grinned, “Are you threatening ?”

“We wouldn’t dare, the illustrious Lion King Tai’e, how could we threaten you?

Just a friendly reminder,” the other black-clothed man said, taking out a wand from his hand.

Tai’e wasn’t concerned and continued to ask, “I am quite curious to know so things about your Dawn Church.

Could you enlighten ?”

The black-clothed man pursed his lips, previously asking him not to investigate, and now asking this?

“It seems Lord Lion King hasn’t taken our words to heart,” the other black-clothed man grinned, “Second brother, let us teach the Lion King a lesson.”

As he finished speaking, the wand in his hand burst forth with fierce purple lightning, charging straight at Tai’e.

“You are indeed bold.” Tai’e had not had much action for a long ti; today was a rare opportunity.

A lion’s roar resounded—Lionheart’s Roar!

The purple lightning dissipated quickly under the roar, while the two black-clothed n set up layers of defense, resisting the roar’s assault, and once again launched an attack toward the Lion King.

A red battle knife and wand attacked in tandem.

Tai’e stepped forward, swung his palm horizontally against the side of the battle knife, and then turned to kick the abdon of the black-clothed man behind.

The black-clothed man was shocked and retreated repeatedly.

Tai’e’s speed was astonishing, a stark contrast to the information they had received.

“Since you’re here, don’t think of leaving; I have many questions for you,” Tai’e activated his Bloodline Power, nearly doubling his combat strength.

A series of phantoms flashed, and the black-clothed man holding the wand was struck with terror; just as he raised the wand, before the magic nodes lit up, the Lion King grabbed his arm.

“A Nether Cadaver?” The Lion King pulled forcefully, tearing the opponent’s arm off, blood spurting out.

The black-clothed man howled and, before he could retaliate, the Lion King kicked him again in the abdon, temporarily neutralizing his combat power.

Having accomplished this, the other black-clothed man charged, yet the Lion King remained unfazed.

Turning and raising a hand, two fingers caught the blade, preventing it from moving in the slightest.

“You?!” The black-clothed man was both shocked and furious.

The information he had received indicated that the Lion King’s strength had regressed significantly, equating to a draw with Raven in an ethereal duel.

For this reason, the black-clothed man felt emboldened to intrude on the Beastn Palace and confront Tai’e directly.

Yet they did not know that Tai’e’s previous performance was rely a facade, an illusion.

Upon reflection, Tai’e’s strategic misdirection truly was brilliant.

With another kick, Tai’e struck the opponent’s abdon, causing the black-clothed man to release the battle knife and collapse, clutching his spasming abdon, mouth spewing blood.

The Lionheart royal family, a pinnacle representative of physical power, their every punch and kick rivaling the artillery of skills at the Third Transition Peak.

After flooring the two assassins, Eferot erged from sowhere, smiling mischievously, “Caught them?”

Tai’e glanced at his son, “Your father in action, how could there be any mistakes?

Bind these two, we’ll interrogate them later.

I want to see what kind of monster this Dawn Church truly is.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a black bone spear suddenly assaulted from the sky.

This bone spear, a hundred yards long, exuded a chilling death aura.

Its whistling sound was akin to a wailing demon from the abyss.

Before the spear even landed, its formidable pressure forced the golden lion to half-kneel, unable to move.

Tai’e’s Bloodline Power automatically activated, countering this attack from the sky.

King of Lions Descends!

Tai’e dared not underestimate it; he activated his strongest form imdiately.

What effect would co from utilizing the inherent skill, King of Lions Descends, using a high-level Lionheart Bloodline?

Behind him, the figure of the Lionheart God faintly appeared, opening its right palm towards the incoming bone spear.

In the next mont, the spear pierced the right palm.

The golden Bloodline Power and the black aura of death from the bone spear beca two opposing colors between heaven and earth, seemingly about to tear the sky asunder.

The standoff continued for over a minute, both sides strained.

The ancient treaty’s constraints on power rendered both skills into nothingness.

Tai’e stepped back, and a muffled hum echoed from the sky.

“So strong!” That bone spear strike cast a shadow over Tai’e’s mind; the opponent’s strength was not beneath his!

“Father!” Eferot called out, noticing the two subdued black-clothed n had vanished.

“Forget it.” Tai’e shook his head slightly, “For now, let’s leave it at that.”

Though the black-clothed n were taken, their saviors’ actions inadvertently revealed a trace of their origins.

Tai’e’s eyes flickered, murmuring, “Netherworld—death aura!”

The Dawn Church must have the Netherworld involved behind the scenes.

The Netherworld had always been the most mysterious plane under the Star Sea.

Aside from the original Heavenly God, only the families under the command of the four legendary Netherworld Gods knew its entrance.

Tai’e had also investigated this matter.

The White Family of the Wilderness was an abandoned family, part of the golden lion’s secret plans.

Unfortunately, a strong resistance by demons and the subsequent appearance of a Holy Ancestor disrupted their attempt to conquer the wilderness and obtain information about the Netherworld.

Of course, Tai’e wasn’t too concerned about this, for the Netherworld had never shown any traces beneath the Star Sea.

Tai’e was rely curious about the Netherworld, treating it as a pasti.

But now, it seed he might have overlooked so key elents.

From legacy texts passed down to today, it was not difficult to find that the previous Netherworld God had long since died, leaving the Netherworld governed by three Domain Masters.

The three Domain Masters were quite at odds, and coupled with the unique nature of Netherworld’s creatures, posed no threat to the Star Sea.

Yet now, these Netherworld beings seed intent on targeting the Star Sea.

How powerful the Netherworld was, Tai’e could not ascertain, but considering the nearly inevitable entrance of dead souls into the Netherworld, it was far more formidable than any current force under the Star Sea.

It was rumored that the creatures of the Netherworld could not leave their realm, yet the actions of the Dawn Church made Tai’e worried that they might have mastered a crossover thod, waiting for an opportunity to breach Netherworld’s barrier and open wide its greedy maw upon the Star Sea, consuming it down to the dregs.

In his contemplation, Tai’e swiftly proceeded to the Hall of Affairs, addressing the officials inside in a grave tone, “Contact the Naga Queen at once!”

In no ti, the Naga Queen’s phantom appeared before Tai’e, “Lion King Tai’e, why have you sought out?”

“Could you pause the conquest of the Sacred Empire and the Snowy Region?” Tai’e spoke frankly, “The Star Sea seems to be having an issue that needs ti to observe and understand.”

“Tai’e!” The Naga Queen’s tone was harsh, “As my sea tribe advances on the Sacred Empire, this ally of mine stands down, and now you counsel to abandon our campaign.

Do you regard my sea tribe as nothing but your plaything?!”

Confronted with the queen’s sharp questioning, the Lion King responded solemnly, “Netherworld!

I believe you understand what I’m saying!”

“Netherworld?” The Naga Queen clearly understood, yet seed indifferent, “They are but a horde of spirits, unable to leave their plane, Tai’e, you are overthinking.”

Without waiting for the Lion King to reply, she turned and vanished, cutting off the communication.

Eferot approached, “Father, what should we do?”

Tai’e furrowed his brow, “Let’s not ddle for now.

Investigate the Netherworld.

I recall you previously reported that the White Family in the wilderness seed to have survived.”

“Yes, they should have followed the demons into a new plane, evading the chaos,” Eferot nodded.

“The priority now is to locate the White Family and uncover information about the Netherworld.

I’ll entrust this task to you, and I will have Prince Wu Jiang assist you,” Tai’e’s eyes held a profound gaze, penetrating through the palace walls, as if trying to discern the colossal entity lurking beneath the Star Sea…
